I've always used Japanese cars (15 years - Prado Landcruiser & Camry). I then used Hyundai for 6 years in India and regretted every moment. So when it came to changing the car, bought Nissan Kicks which came within my budget. Toyota Fortuner was outside my budget. And Rav4 is not launched yet. Jeep Compass is highly priced, so for me, it does not give the value for the price we pay. I drove TATA and Mahindra - took them from Rentals for long drives and did not like them at all. Also heard horror stories about after sales and quality from friends. So Nissan kicks came in the right budget for me and given the features for XV Premium CVT Automatic, it's an excellent value for money. Did some test drives and understood that it's similar to Toyota quality. Tough and reliable but may not have gadgetry inside like Kia/ Hyundai. Now that I use it regularly, I feel it's a no-nonsense SUV - reliable and gives a comfortable drive. Trustworthy when I go for long drives. Same assurance as a regular Japanese (Toyota) car that I'm used to. Automatic CVT drive is super. No frills, but has all that you require in terms of multimedia, comfort and essential features. I don't know why customers talk about re-sale value in cars. I'm also surprised that Hyundai Creta sells so much in India. When you are using a car, buy a good one. Friends talked about re-sale value being high for Hyundai Creta. But I felt the point was not valid. You buy a car to drive it not with a motive to re-sell the car. I don't understand the logic. And a knowledgeable, value consicous buyer will definitely go for Japanese cars.
I own a turbo petrol. It is a gem of an suv. Thanks to its awesome mechanicals. Excellent ride, handling superb built and value for money . I have driven it twice from Bangalore to Kerala abt 600 kms with a single 10 min stop. There was no fatigue at all, even for a passenger who is 74.
I drove my friends car its absolutely comfortable and spirited.. best suspension setup it just glides through any rough road.. I drove sonet its suspension is hard as a iron rod.. it doesn't have any lag.. beautiful car. Not marketed well by Nissan and missing little features compared to rivals.. buy only the automatic it will serve you happily for years to come..
Both captur and kicks are superb products from renault , really driveabilty and ergonomics are superb . Lacks cosmetology like hyundai and maruti. Not sure heard the diesel engine k9k offered on captur and kicks are offered by Mercedes cl 180 d. Its really faster on highways and best on hilly terrain.
I own nissan kicks diesel good mileage and good ride quality.. And thats it lots of quality issues from first month onwards i am fighting with service center people..
What I miss in these reviews is the car's performance in hilly conditions , whether it is recommended for hill driving performance wise and fuel efficiency wise.
This is much much better than over-rated Koreans which sell because of too much marketing hype. Japanese make better cars but are poor at advertising/marketing and features.
This is a damn good car, but tbh apart from driveability and only that, it does not feel much of an upgrade compared to the Magnite, which you can get at half the cost.
Hi! I am getting a top end 2019 Kicks Diesel XV Premium Dual Tone for 10.25 lacs with 21k KMs on the odometer. I also have a Tata Nexon diesel XZ+ booked. Should I go for Kicks? Will it be a good buy over the Tata Nexon?
in Army csd Nissan kicks xv 1.5 petrol on road 10 lakhs mai mil rha hai mere father ko ....pls any one suggest me weather will go for or nt yes 1.3 turbo is good bt mere father wo eligible nhi hoga isiliye 1.5 petrol we r plaanning bt ...becoz of mileage concern we stopped ....pls any one jo own karta ho 1.5 petrol real world mileage bata sake ...it will be vary greatfull thanks
He said towards the end that the manual version has a heavier clutch making it a bit more difficult to drive in city conditions. Moreover, an automatic is the choice to go if you'll mostly be in stop-go traffic. Manual makes more sense for technical driving conditions which people won't encounter often.
If anyone is looking for fun to drive compact SUV that is also frugal, just close your eyes and pick EcoSport TDCi. Nissan used to be a brand I adored, but after back to back blunders in India market I don't trust them anymore. Nissan's future in India is gloomy at best...avoid it at any cost if you want peace of mind ownership experience.
Nissan’s dealership Speed Nissan CHANDIGARH is selling cars without a TEST drive and delivering the cars without PDI. It’s Unethical, criminal and unfair trade practise. I have written to Nissan India also but unfortunately Nissan India is not understanding gravity of the situation.
6:30 why would someone pay 17+ lac for this when u have better options in market which are more equipped and better value for money with gr8 aftersales service compared to the dicy behaviour of Renault-Nissan strategy wherein the dealers suddenly disappear from market leaving u no options but to either hunt for local workshop or send ur car long distances for ur service needs.

Its a gem of a car, the ride and handling balance is too good, it lacks features compared to korean rivals but it drives beautifully
Amazing car!! Have this for 1 year and absolutely loving every bit of my experience. Best value for money if you're not looking for resale value.

Too late a review. The car definitely is worth considering for anyone looking for an upgrade from a hatchback
Superb and best car in this segment ....a pure drivers delight !!!
1.3 turbo, drove 7K so far, amazing performance !! Proud owner
Just bought it last week and so far very happy with the car.👍👍
Proud owner ❤️
Most underrated SUV.
Underrated Car!
Recently baught 1.3 turbo kicks 😍
The Car looks really handsome from inside out, missing some features as compared to its Korean rivals. Underrated car.

totally underrated, this car🔥
the start-stop surely cannot be good for the turbo idling rule
I own nissan kicks diesel good mileage and good ride quality.. And thats it lots of quality issues from first month onwards i am fighting with service center people..
Damm. I love this car more than any other car in its segment. Still i will wait for 2021 model that looks really dope.
But why?
Buy this in manual it goes like rocket
My future used car after 5 years.
Too high a price for a car that is not too feature rich or even specced. No side airbags on the premium spec is honestly criminal
It's just amazing. Excellent acceleration and ride quality. Looks really sporty and aggresive SUV as compared to it's competitors.
There are no dealers for nissan in many districts 💔
Is it worth buying for 8.10 lakh from the used car market?
What I miss in these reviews is the car's performance in hilly conditions , whether it is recommended for hill driving performance wise and fuel efficiency wise.
Simple and elegant design..
I thought it had been long discontinued.
Excellent review.
Got top model @ 12:25 after 2 lac discount from dealer and csd
This is much much better than over-rated Koreans which sell because of too much marketing hype. Japanese make better cars but are poor at advertising/marketing and features.
JAPANESE manufacturers need to start adding panaromic sunroofs etc at this price point! atleast a top variant with these features
This is a damn good car, but tbh apart from driveability and only that, it does not feel much of an upgrade compared to the Magnite, which you can get at half the cost.
Safety ratings??
Great car and this is the first time I am the one commenting first..😃😜 love your channel @autocarindia keep going..🤟🏼
Your diction and enunciation is a pleasure to watch 🤩
They should've given it a DCT gearbox instead of a CVT. What's the use of all that power if you can't actually feel it & enjoy it.
I was waiting for cvt review.. what would be the top speed of this car ?

Awesome car...ultimate dynamics
Nice new look
The Skoda Kushaq is around the same price.
Wish the Renault Captur wasn't discontinued and instead updated with this engine.. that car looks way better than this
You can get a Harrier at this price 🔥
I'm eagerly waiting for new KIA Carvinal
Hi.. I am interested in Nissan Kicks Facelift launch in India. Could you please help me with any information or news about this? Thanks!

Really an awesome suv..
Very solid indeed..👍👌
I really don't understand why people prefer the automatic over a manual. Especially for a peppy car like this.🤦🏻♂️

Its a driver's choice
I liked this
Great car

Mercedes engine 🙂

I'm really hoping for a performance hatchback with this engine from Nissan
Thar is better option in same amount ?
150 hp is way ahead
Looks r very subjective.., apart from features.. not everyone will like its nose..
No body can match nissan driving dynamics.
I don't think it is worth🙄
It's just a duster..
Seltos is better

What's the safety rating for this one?
