I absolutely need a record of everywhere I have been, and I need Google to store all of this for me, on their servers, because I need to be able to see this info from anywhere, at any time, from any computer. Like if I am at a hotel or library and there is a public computer there, I need to be able to log on to Google on that public computer and see my Google Maps Timeline History. How do I do this with the recent changes? To be clear, seeing this info on a phone or tablet does me no good at all. I need to see it on a desktop computer with a big monitor.

No, they are getting a privacy change which i find dumb. You know, sometimes its best to leave things the way they are. Don't make it worse for the people that love it. Basically you need backup on so when you upgrade your phone you can still see your stuff but if not you won't. Im telling you, a lot of people loved the desktop version the most including me. If you click on a few videos about this feature there will be people commenting about this change and how sad it is.
And besides we got 6 months so anything is possible at this point. But yes the deadline is 12/1/2024 for all android users. Certian ones will get the message later in time. It says how long you want to keep your timeline data and then turn on backup. So instead of Location History, It is Now Just Timeline. This is just like how one of your favorite youtube users gets taken down wrongfully AND NOW IT'S THIS? BS😡😡😡💔💔💔
