Shane McGuigan’s analysis of AJ’s corner was incredible. Literally called AJ’s uppercut being timed by Dubois short right a minute before it happened. His analysis in the buildup was brilliant as well. One of the few who gave Dubois more than a puncher’s chance. Respect to Ben for taking responsibility, but the advice from his corner needs to be talked about.
Pedantic maybe but the corner was saying to use the uppercut off Dubois jab. "Roll the dice" maybe it's easy to say in hindsight but the very end of the 4th Dubois was looking like he was slowing down, sending Joshua out with that advice was very poor.
@@mikeyc1980 was risky because Dubois was finishing with a straight backhand off his jab. But you’re right it’s easy to criticise in hindsight. I was just very impressed with Shane calling it exactly how it played out soon as the advice was given

Yeah, but he flipped 99% of betting lines. That's where the shock comes from. Not from people who actually used logic and knew A.J hasn't been the same since the first Ruiz match.

I picked Dubois for this fight going into it because I thought Dubois power would cause a lot of problems for AJ, and his previous fights gave fans false hopes of the old AJ being back
AJ does not appear to be able to take a punch. The 1st blow on the top of his canister did more damage than you would expect and he didn't seem to recover from there
Posted this on you’re pre-fight video: “This fight is all about what is going to be fired AT Joshua, and not FROM Joshua. Everyones talking about Joshua's offence and Dubois weak defense. Joshua has fought Helenius, Franklin, Wallin and Ngannou in the past 2 years. The speed and power that Dubois is going to be attacking with is not even comparable to those guys. I think someone needs to send some people over to Travis's (from Undefeated) house saturday night, to make sure he doesn't do anything drastic after he watches this fight lol” After seeing Travis’s reaction live, I hope someone checked on him 😂
Honestly I felt kinda the same I don't remember where I saw it but I heard someone say "AJ hasn't really fought championship level opponents and that Dubois had faced better competition" at the time I kinda agreed but felt AJ still should have had the elite experience over Dubois man was I wrong
Man, AJ looked so slow from the start , looked like he'd just done 12 rounds , hands down to his waist , switched off in the last 15 secs , was even stumbling on his ring walk . Dubois looked hungry & good.
AJ losing had just as much or more to do with what Dubois did right than what AJ did wrong. You mentioned the big looping overhand right @10:20. Watch Daniels footwork to get in position for that punch. Time and time again that night it was Daniels footwork that was providing him with the opportunity to be successful. He kept bringing his feet with him.
End of the day AJ has fought 3 guys in their prime who are A game fighters Dubois Usyk Ruiz Been saying it since 2019 Aj was a hype train, well marketed, but he's never been humble or great like the media said he was
Years ago down the pub I'd say that he really isn't that good & that Fury was a far better boxer. People weren't having it though. Shows what a good job Hearn done really.
He beat Ruiz & Parker is better than Ruiz too and probably Dubois. If AJ had beaten Dubois I hardly think it would have registered as an A game fighter win. AJ has had himself a solid career, not an all timer but on achievement & resume, top 3 of his generation behind Usyk and datable with Fury.
@ojogbaneamedu2501 it's not debatable, AJ loses 8 days a week to fury He never beat ruiz, ruiz beat himself He never bear parker, parker didn't show up He never beat whyte, whyte was the underdog, had no trainer, no team, no promotion, nothing. Was expected to be just a bum. AJ has never beaten an A tier opponent
@@morgs456 Amazing how there’s always an excuse for his opponents, let me try it myself. Dubois didn’t beat AJ, AJ beat himself Ruiz didn’t beat AJ, AJ didn’t show up Fury impressive win in his career is who? Klitschko, AJ did that too. Other than that it’s maybe Wilder (who is a bum). It’s very debatable, AJs resume (excuses aside) is much better than Fury’s. Better wins & more title defences, the gypsy king sold the world a bag of lies then nearly got beat by a novice MMA fighter in an embarrassment to the entire sport. Matchups make fights, at their peak idk who would win but I know AJ has nothing in Fury’s career to be envious of, he’s achieved just as much if not more.
I've notice Dubois team always come in with great gameplans going for the body against Usyk was the best chance, here constant pressure never letting AJ get settled. Using Hrgovic poor stamina to gas him out for the 8th round stoppage.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how AJ didn't see that absolutely telegraphed punch coming.... That punch started in Scotland and AJ just watched coming the whole way.... Almost like he was paid to take it.
Boxercise Ben probably gave AJ easy sparring to keep his confidence levels high...He got caught early and cold, almost half asleep in Rd 1. Fair play to DDD he beat him like he owed him money.
He owed him more than money: he owed him respect. Entire boxing world calling him a quitter because his eye socket got busted by Joyce, and he was human and frustrated by a better Usyk. Praises and glory for AJ The King as he'll teach the young boy what's up, "puncher's chance" only for Dubois. Walked out to 90,000 boos and 83% of everyone watching thinking he'd lose. First bell rung and he wanted nothing but an execution
Yeah he doesn't quite have the skills or finesse of Iron Mike, but that same ferocious instinctive animal spirit was in him that night, his chin would make Mike proud
One of the worst things about the fight for me was how when AJ hurt Dubois with a right hand, he threw THREE more punches all from the right hand... Granted, the last one was an attempt at an uppercut but still. You can't just spam the same punch over and over again and expect to get a guy out of there.
How is he overrated? No one has him in their top ATG lists mate. What metric is he overrated on? He's consensus one of the best of his generation. Not THE best, but he's in the top 5.

This
Pedantic maybe but the corner was saying to use the uppercut off Dubois jab.
I was just very impressed with Shane calling it exactly how it played out soon as the advice was given
Been waiting for this 😅
I was in Malaga for it. Walking down to meet my mate listening to your last pod before the fight.. and you’s changed my mind and led me to betting on big Dan 😂
Of course you did! HAHA
@@ruzziasht349 I bet him to win TKO rounds 8-12 so never actually won so get it round ye
Best boxing podcast on the go
'Just weather the storm a little bit' dude, he got put on his arse in every round. He had no choice but to go for broke, he was in the eye of the storm! He couldn't take 4 rounds of again, he couldn't even take 1 second off!. The pressure was on him in. Again, delusional, LOL
After a long time I seen full video without skipping a sec. Great video
He's not learned defence properly on his rise because of the level of opponent. Now the level of opponent is up there he's scrambling when it's put on him. It's his own ego that caused his downfall. He has no survival mode because it's not in his locker. Total disrespect for the opponents
I heard AJ has some odd "positive only" rule. Apparently NOBODY in his team is allowed to say anything critical...after Usyk he changed his team...but ended up with the exact same people.."great job aj great suff warrior" as he's being pummelled
@@billdoor3140 in the pressers it sounded like he was repeating things he listens to on a loop. Affirmations. He needs this. He knows deep down his career has been navigated brilliantly away from danger maximising the income. Now he needs those tools as there are no more easy routes he's found wanting. Mentally the truth has crushed him
my missus had never watched a fight before and sat with me this time around. she legit thought this was AJ’s _first ever_ fight.
the man looked like he completely forgot how to box
AJ fought like an alien who'd never boxed before put on his skin and got in the ring in his place. Abysmal performance. Credit to Dubois for being hungry and taking it to AJ, but every Top 10 HW would have beat that version of AJ. Hands down, lazy punches, backing straight up, no head movement, misjudging the distance. He got literally everything wrong.
Nah, I don't see any other HW that would use Dubois' game plan and take AJ out that quick. They might beat him, yes, but AJ would've looked better going out, not get completely mauled like we just saw
I don't think he recovered from that 1st round knockdown
Propa good mini-pod this. Felt like the sort of post-fight chat you have with your mates, except with people who know more about boxing. Keep it up fellas 👍🏽
I think…he beat 3 questionable fighters in Helnius, Otto and a MMA guy who right now may not even be the best heavyweight in his own sport and people went a little overboard with what they were expecting and then Dubois wins and there’s all this shock and awe when really there shouldn’t be.
Agree 100%
Left a comment to reflect this as well.
Yeah, but he flipped 99% of betting lines. That's where the shock comes from. Not from people who actually used logic and knew A.J hasn't been the same since the first Ruiz match.
Love the channel mate!
Joshua was allowed back in by Dubois so Dubois could finish him. Joshua hugging since the 2nd round, Dubois knew what he was doing there at the end.
Been waiting for your take on this...best boxing channel bar none
First time I’ve seen proper’s face! I thought he was 60 odd😮😂
Lmao at the title, love it.
Even Usyk and his translator were talking about AK having his guard way too low saying his hand were on his chest 😂
Ak47?
AKA?
He certainly seems to be showing himself to have a Lalique skull
If you pot a bet, on how Propa looks like, we will all lose 😂😂
Didn't surprise me at all, I could tell how old Propa is by his voice. I'm 37 and English, maybe that's got something to do with it. I think a lot of these surprised people are foreign..?
A J isn't completely finished, there's still a chance for an Andy Ruiz trilogy fight.
Might as well hang it up mate. Having a glass jaw in the hw division where everyone can crack is peak.
He's way too mentally gone at this point
Him and Wilder can get it on now. Both are washed, the playing field has evened ip again
Love to see AJ getting batted around the ring 😂😂😂 he looked like someone who’s been on a Saturday night bender 😂😂
& then being tasered to finish the night off.
Hope anyone who got Oasis tickets sells them on. Only thing flatter than poor AJ was Liam.
that how he sings your not an oasis fan so stop trying to ruin it for people they wouldnt sell anyway there called fans your obviously one them woke liberal people.
Gods you're a living cliche
@jediknight2350 Jeez, you trigger easily.
@@Crall-xb8he you mum was trigged why i smashed her in the back box she begged for more.
Yeah...bellowed out those songs like a drunk karaoke singer.
The only review of the fight we've been waiting for.
I picked Dubois for this fight going into it because I thought Dubois power would cause a lot of problems for AJ, and his previous fights gave fans false hopes of the old AJ being back
That first round knock down punch from the Dubious one was straight out of the Dave Allen text book.
Take binoculars if you go to a stadium fight
All it means is he didn't quit and fair play to AJ he didn't , he walked face first into his doom
And fill them with booze
I went and my view was great could see everything
. . . what a treat to see Propa in person . . . Bravo and thank you for the best TH-cam Boxing content by a mile!!
Love the content boys ❤
AJ does not appear to be able to take a punch. The 1st blow on the top of his canister did more damage than you would expect and he didn't seem to recover from there
The hangover podcast haha. Hair of the dog lads
I think someone needs to send some people over to Travis's (from Undefeated) house saturday night, to make sure he doesn't do anything drastic after he watches this fight lol”
After seeing Travis’s reaction live, I hope someone checked on him 😂
Honestly I felt kinda the same I don't remember where I saw it but I heard someone say "AJ hasn't really fought championship level opponents and that Dubois had faced better competition" at the time I kinda agreed but felt AJ still should have had the elite experience over Dubois man was I wrong
Dubois sparred 100s of rounds with AJ. He knew exactly what he could do to AJ and did exactly those things in the fight.
Said Dubois would win all along. Great fight.
Man, AJ looked so slow from the start , looked like he'd just done 12 rounds , hands down to his waist , switched off in the last 15 secs , was even stumbling on his ring walk . Dubois looked hungry & good.
Turns out AJ isn't much better than Wilder when under pressure. I want to see AJ Vs Wilder. :D
Remember when a large majority were saying Daniel Dubois should retire and now those same people are praising him 😂💪🏾
uncle propa's voice doesn't match his his appearance in a very shocking way 😂
😂😂
I thought he'd be bald and heavily built
I thought he’d look like Frank Harper the guy who played Billy in the football factory.
I thought he was a 60 year old man, boxing fan. And he looks like your average Ted. 😂 😂
Honestly Dubois absolutely dismantled AJ took all his best weapons away from him and then took him apart 😂
Has anybody else notice that Daniel has not once thanks is trainer Don🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I bet they announce the split in a few days
Thanks for dropping the emergency pod lads!
Amen
“Amateur hour. AMATEUR HOUR.” 😂
Give DDD credit for what he's just done, huge win for him 👏
Been buzzing waiting for this review!! Haha
End of the day AJ has fought 3 guys in their prime who are A game fighters
Dubois
Usyk
Ruiz
Been saying it since 2019
Aj was a hype train, well marketed, but he's never been humble or great like the media said he was
Years ago down the pub I'd say that he really isn't that good & that Fury was a far better boxer. People weren't having it though. Shows what a good job Hearn done really.
@@Luke-mq6mn it does mate
He beat Ruiz & Parker is better than Ruiz too and probably Dubois. If AJ had beaten Dubois I hardly think it would have registered as an A game fighter win.
AJ has had himself a solid career, not an all timer but on achievement & resume, top 3 of his generation behind Usyk and datable with Fury.
@ojogbaneamedu2501 it's not debatable, AJ loses 8 days a week to fury
He never beat ruiz, ruiz beat himself
He never bear parker, parker didn't show up
He never beat whyte, whyte was the underdog, had no trainer, no team, no promotion, nothing. Was expected to be just a bum.
AJ has never beaten an A tier opponent
@@morgs456 Amazing how there’s always an excuse for his opponents, let me try it myself.
Dubois didn’t beat AJ, AJ beat himself
Ruiz didn’t beat AJ, AJ didn’t show up
Fury impressive win in his career is who?
Agree with Propa..Danny looked a bit like Tyson..Didnt expect that.
proppa out here saying "Boys i want to get your reactions"
I was watching the fight yelling "Joshua has No reactions"
quite fitting.
Great title 😂
The video title to this 😂😅
I cannot for the life of me figure out how AJ didn't see that absolutely telegraphed punch coming.... That punch started in Scotland and AJ just watched coming the whole way.... Almost like he was paid to take it.
Props to Dubois, proved a lot of people wrong with a masterclass of a performance
Why are people like hearn are saying AJ could of done this could of done that 😂 behave lads AJ got smash to bits !!!
Bro said he would never doubt Dubois again and doubted Dubois again. Told ya Propa
He wasn’t intimidated and he told him so and then showed him. AJ is finished, just a big hype job.
If I hadn't have seen AJ do the same thing with Ruiz I would have assumed he threw the fight deliberately. LOL
So glad someone else saw the similarity between Dubious and Mike Tyson. That hunger and for fucks sake don't hiit him, you only make him angry.
You can't just spam the same punch over and over again and expect to get a guy out of there.
joshua is the most overrated boxer ever
How is he overrated? No one has him in their top ATG lists mate. What metric is he overrated on? He's consensus one of the best of his generation. Not THE best, but he's in the top 5.
He’s definitely not more overrated than Fury. They were comparing that steroid cheat to Lennox Lewis and Ali.
Fact. The most wooden predictable boxer ever with the most dire foorwork.
@@mdc123-v2v like I said, people were comparing him to Lewis and Ali. I had to listen to all this rubbish for years about Fury being invincible and unbeatable, even though he lost the first John McDermott fight and then lost to the debutant Ngannou. I'm glad the facade is over and the overrated fraud has been exposed.
@@DavidGoldX Who compared him to Lister or Ali? AJ is rated exactly where he should be. A solid fighter in a weak era.
been waitin' for you.
