I'm in the process of buying my first mill and deciding if Sherline is right for me. Just started watching your videos and really enjoy them. Thank you, Peter
I own that same Mill setup from Sherline. Quick Question, I’ve been looking at those accordion Way Guards you have on the mill. Do they get in the way?? I ask because a buddy said he purchased them, but took them off stating they were a PITA during use… 🙏Thank U for explaining this process 🙏 Well Done💯 ☯️ZenModeling☯️
great video---love your channel. Question: I am buying a sherline CNC package---would you recommend the 5400 or the NexGen 5800?? (assuming price difference is not a factor). I have machining experience on an older J head Bridgeport--but its been suggested to me that the 5400 I better because its "extremely difficult" to tram the 5800...supposedly goes out of adjustment frequently. I would really value and appreciate your opinion before I pull the trigger...
I really like your video about alignment. I have a 5400 mill that I want to align the column with the bed, and align the spindle with the column. The 5400 doesn't have the left/right and front/back column alignment as the 2000 has. I just recently aligned my 4400 lathe spindle with the ways, and I assume the 5400 spindle may also be out of alignment with the column.
I don;t know when your sleeping, but I'm really getting a lot out of these videos. Please keep them coming.
Tnx, Jim
Where can I get the attachments to the dial indicator to attach it to the spindle?
Excellent instruction. Easily understood by this novice. Thanks and keep up the great work!
I have the same model 2000 mill, I find your videos to very helpfull because you cover all the little details. Well done, and thank you!
