- This game had created one of the most chaotic adventures that players have descended in years. Risk of Rain 2 is pure agony, but the overall experience lures me back to play more.

You actually got the maths wrong on railgunner. It's not 150% weakpoint damage it's +150%.
Railgunner by default does 200% weakpoint damage so it increases to 350%.
350% of 12000 is 42000

Another thing that lots of people don't know about is the eclipse gamemode.
It's hidden away in the alternative game modes section and is basically harder difficulties.
I would've stopped playing a long time ago without it.
I solely play eclipse now. monsoon is too easy haha

On the note of artifacts:
The combination of them is key.
Sacrifice (items dropped by monsters) + Swarms (double enemies spawn)
You basically create the authentic looter-shooter style
Command (removes item rng) + Glass(5x damage but you’re basically 2 shot at start)
Now you have a build/class roguelike system where you can maximize and manipulate certain stats and items
Now mix all 4 (go to therapy after…)
Hell…why are you doing this to yourself.
Double monsters spawn (including bosses), you can kill everything but everything can INSTANTANEOUSLY kill you, you have to strategize how you pick up your items, that can only spawn from killing the masses of monsters or gambling the money you get from them.
Oh and the game wants to kill you, so literally it’ll take advantage of every single aspect you add.
Risk of Rain is arguably the best game of its genre. And it’s so slept on.
Glass will forever be the bane of my playthroughs.
Swarms doesnt add anything to Sacrifice as the Percentage of Monsters dropping items gets halved
The only bizarre thing is how completely random accounts often have better video quality than most big channels. Props to you and keep it up. God bless!

Armor piercing rounds is good on all survivors. Though is more important for shorter runs (which is why speedrunners grab it). It being a bullet icon, doesn't mean it can't be used with the sword swinging merc.
Based on peeps I've played with, they don't really go for armor piercing rounds when being merc, it's like being allergic to it LOL
@@ochisae perharps you got confused with crowbar, since it boosts the damage of enemies with 90%+ health, which is a item better with loader or railgunner
Not sure about me being confused with *armor piercing rounds with crowbar, it's that people that played Merc for some reason don't go for armor piercing rounds @@Loalder
@@ochisae I main merc and pick it up whenever possible, it's a universally good item. Your group probably prioritizes focus crystal because it's almost a strictly better version of armor piercing rounds for melee survivors, but I can't imagine why they wouldn't get both.

Try out cryocharge if you haven't already! It doesn't disable your abilities and freezes enemies for a few seconds which allows you to instantly execute them if you shoot them below 30% hp (the initial cryocharge shot won't immediately execute, the enemy has to take damage after they get frozen). I find myself using cryocharge more in general because it's less risky to blast it into a group of enemies when you get overwhelmed. Also freezing Mithrix is very useful
So in the railgunner explanation for the supercharge shot you used 300 dps which which is incorrect as it uses railgunners base damage which at lvl one is 12 damage. So at level one a perfect reload crit shot would do 1680 damage on an unarmored enemy
If I did 300 damage per second, just for demonstration - I am aware railgunner wouldn't do that much damage *in the beginning 💀

another amazing part of ror2 is that even if u somehow do end up getting bored of all the content ror2 offers, it supports mods that can add pretty much anything.
from basic sounds to entire stages, boss fights, artifacts, and survivors, theres pretty much all types of mods that add tons of content
for example, ive just been enjoying getting bodied by umbral mithrix in monsoon runs recently xd

After a while, the game WILL get too easy, on Rainstorm or Monsoon. There's a harder difficulty hidden away in the "Alternate Game Modes" menu called "Eclipse" which is an ascension based difficulty system.
Like Heat in Hades, each time you beat the game it gets harder for that character. Eclipse CARRIES the game later on, as the more skilled you get the more you'll reailse that the game is not that balanced, and you outscale the difficulty super quick. The early Eclipse levels teach you how to play deliberately, and the late Eclipse levels let you execute on your skills. It's a fantastic difficulty that should NOT be hidden away in a side-menu.
Most players don't even know it exists, so hopefully with the new DLC players will get alerted by Eclipse junkees that it does.
At this point, I completely forgot Eclipse existed 💀💀
