One of my fav players ever. Everyone hates on this man because of how he doesn’t have a chip but he never had the help a superstar should’ve. The fact that his 2013 year was one of his best and the backup to him was an injured Amare, Jr and an old jason kidd shows the situations he was in. In his prime he had amazing footwork, a great handle, great post moves, amazing iso abilities, and he did all of this while shooting well with a forwards body. He beat KD for the scoring title in 2013, and he was super prominent until he got injured around 2014-15. One of the goat scorers.

I'm 26.. Melo has been my 2nd favorite player after Kobe since those Syracuse Days. I'm so glad Portland picked him up last yr. I'm pissed the NBA tried to keep him out the league
He is a selfish basketball player without the ability to carry a championship team and who flamed out in every situation he has been in...he deserved to be out of the league because he still wanted star treatment when he was clearly nothing more than a role player...in Portland he is much more humble and willing to be a role player and I wish him well in that regard

The Triangle Offense isn't outdated. It just needs players with a certain skillset. You can't make players fit the offense - you have to get the right players for it. Also, people treat that offense like it's some kind of mystery. It isn't. It's a high-post passing and cutting offense, which has been run in different forms by many teams.

The Knicks won 6 straight straight games and the team found a new chemistry until again.... The Playoffs and miraculously his help disappeared again. Then in 2014 his help miraculously disappeared again..... Hmmmmmmm

I wonder if he just signed the next summer with the Knicks how much better they would've been, or if Amare didn't get hurt. Melo doesn't get enough respect for his clutch, late game shooting as an alltime clutch player. His is better in the clutch than KOBE. Only, MJ,Bird and Reggie I would potentially take over him in the clutch. Defense and conditioning are two things he needed to change to be considered better than he currently is all time

What that guy says @ 20:16 is so true. I believe in ALL OF HEART that if we would've beat the Pacers we would've beat the the Heat. We beat them 3 out of 4 that year. Although that's regular season, I just feel that we had the perfect team. The SUPER VETS (J-kidd, Sheed) weren't in aww of the Heat. They put that battery in Melo's back. That team was built to let Melo do what he does best. We were clicking on all cylinders. That Hibbert block is one of my all time hurtful Knicks moments. The biggest one since the 90's.
