But if I were to chane the entire story: it would be that there called out of retirement by devon to deal with illegal guns. Kitt the with his trans am body would be in it. Bonnie and RC3 returned. Turbo boost. And everything that made the show awesome! The movie would end that they drive off back to retirement. But 1st they go to a cheese burger restaurant just like they always talked about in the TV Show.

They should have brought Bonnie and RC3 back my guess is they asked the actors but they were not interested in returning and you can't force them.............as for Michael retireing that is also part of life everyone has a right to retire and relax for the rest of their lives.. no matter what job you have.
I never realised that this evil dude was played by Mitch Pileggi, who was also the actor for Walter Skinner, the assistant director of the F.B.I. in "The X-Files" from 1993 - 2002 & 2016.
I know this is a reach from the tv series but if anyone remembers and the very first episode knight of the phoenix, Michael did say he was heavily trained in martial arts which we never really saw any kind of moves ever used in the entire series. Michael was only able to survive being shot in the face because of a metal plate in his head from a war wound so the headbutt during the fight scsne should have hurt them both more. We also never saw Michael get the comm link back from kitt's box of leftover junk or wire a new ser to him, so not sure how the new watch is connected to kitt.
When this first premiered, I was around 4, so I never understood it. I was wondering why I never saw Devon again throughout the rest of the movie. I watched it again some years later and I finally understood it. That is one of the things I hate about this movie.

Michael was really trying to give Watts the business here for killing Devon. He was fighting him almost as hard as when he tried to beat Durant to death in cold blood for killing Stevie. This movie had potential, but it left too many questions unanswered. What happened to Bonnie, RC3, or heck even April? Or where were they? What became of the K.I.F.T cpu after Michael installed KITT into the car? Would we have gotten a new KITT vs KARR scenario had this continued? Was there another FLAG semi around, or going to be used after the 4000 was a success? We'll never know. I also think they made Michael rusty when fighting, because he would have been able to take Watts down easily. Remember, he knew martial arts, and was trained in the Special Forces. He should have gotten some good punches in on him. Maybe draw some blood out of him and be in a rage because of him killing Devon.

Placed into a new car and held a grudge against Michael, KITT, and the foundation. I want to bet the 4000 had other capabilities like KITTs old body had, but we'll never know since this never went into a series. I think I read that Hasselhoff would have only been a semi recurring character if this continued on as a show, but only because he was still doing Baywatch at the time.
Michael's gun may not have had bullets in it...but ironic he tells the woman not to kill the guy then he shoots knocks him over the rail and he dies. and Micheal didn't get put away as he told the woman she would if she killed him.
Um it was self defense. The woman walked over with her gun up to cuff him and he pulled his gun out to shoot her and then Michael shot him to protect her, were you sleeping?
He was grabbing another gun and was gonna shoot her again, but Michael grabbed that buzzer and shot him in self defense. Plus, if I remember correctly, Watts had other kills under his belt before he got frozen, then he killed the mayor, Devon, and Shawn's old partner. Not sure that guy died since they put him Watts old freezer. Probably not justified, but he had it coming.
I think David Hasselhoff doing Baywatch is why they didn’t make more movies. I read there was not a good reaction to the new female character So they couldn’t do a series about her. They should’ve tried to work something out where they could’ve made at least one more movie with hasslehoff

Unfortunately not. I had it on VHS back in the day and when the Knight Rider DVD collection came out it was bundled with it. You may be able to find the DVD box set on ebay or Amazon. I've actually been thinking about ripping it and making it available since no one else has it up.
It's included on the last disc of season 1, of the Universal DVD release. The lousy Millcreek dvds don't include it, or any special features, or subtitles. Hell it includes the crappy Knight of the Drones syndicated release, where it has the KTLA commercial inserts, scenes cut out like Michael and Devon checking out KITTs new dash and abilities, and broken up into 2 episodes instead of being the 2 hour movie. The only thing the Millcreek release does right over Universal is that it includes the missing intros for Knight Song and The Scent of Roses, plus the old Universal logo after every episode. Especially on season 4.

One of the film's subplots was that the country's governments were using cryostasis to imprison criminals because it was cheaper and caused them less of a political backlash. Of course, the real-world problem with such a "solution" is that the crooks never learn anything or repent for their crimes. They would simply go to sleep, and wake up again years or decades later, never having changed for the better.

Wow...that is the first time I've ever seen Micheal Knight fire a gun as he never used one in the TV series.
It's not a traditional gun, either - it's a sonic stun gun. Shawn's gun is the only real one in the scene.

I remember watching this when it first came out. The funeral scene was devastating. "Nobody loved that man more than me".
Saddest scene in history second only to Prime dying in transformers the movie cartoon in 86.
When this first premiered, I was around 4, so I never understood it. I was wondering why I never saw Devon again throughout the rest of the movie. I watched it again some years later and I finally understood it. That is one of the things I hate about this movie.

That was part of the reason why it couldn't move foward into a full series.
