    Pro tip. Grab some zip lock gallon bags for your filters. They catch the mess while removing old ones.

    Good video man. I sympathize with you about the hydraulic tank filters they were a bitch when I did mine too.

    Good Vid Kubota really screwed up on filter placement! I'm going to have to attempt it soon 💪

    When i got mine it had only 50 hrs on it and i had to use a chain hoist to break the cab free. Had to use it as an assist for 3 or 4 more times. Best thng to do is raise and lower it multiple tines to get the lift assists working and ease up tjr pivit joints

    The filter inside the hyd tank doesn't get dirty. It;s really only a screen. Next time drain the tank and look at the pickup. If it's not dirty, leave it alone.

    What kind of hydro fluid did you put in it?

      Much easier to drain out the front from under floorboard for sure! But I feel for you on the replacing of the two inside filters.....my hands aren't huge, but it was still all thumbs when I did it the first time. Kubota engineer should have made the entire top removable, not just a small hole....it would still be sealable and maintain pressure without the present design if built correctly.

    Any concerns power washing in there with electronics? Would love to do the same to mine but have been hesitant

    Is there a drain in the tool box. when i bought my machine it had 10 pounds of mud. after shoveling i power washed and could not get the water to drain.

  • @JohnSmith-xv6mp
    @JohnSmith-xv6mp 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Are you confident that power washing that area is okay? I’d like to do the same to mine

    • @JerichoRally
      @JerichoRally  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely. Quite a common practice for some who care to keep their machines clean. With this machine nothing but hoses and tanks under the cab (minimal wires).

      @@JerichoRally on the machine I drug home the dirt was packed between fuel tank and frame along entire length of tank. took 8 hours of pressure washing to get it acceptable. Just terrible how bad these can be ! but 40,000 less than new on my 2000 hour machine, I'm not complaining yet. I'd like to replace lower pins and bushings but both pins are pretty seized on plate end.

      I too need to replace the pins and bushings at the bucket. Hopefully they are seized.

    Clean out the rear lift supports also it will save you from a nightmare and check the fuel cap and neck for rust and clean and rub grease on them

    • @JerichoRally

      I did those too... but I didn't grease the cap and neck though. Good idea!

      It gets rusty and then it will get into the injectors and tear it up and they are over a grand a piece

    y did u need the trackhoe to lift the cab? it usually lifts easily unless something is binding.

    • @JerichoRally
      @JerichoRally  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish I knew! I don't think I'm so weak that I can't lift a cab so I'm thinking the struts are completely worn out. Thanks for watching!

      Just came across your vid again and it dawned on me. i bet you never removed the safety pin in the rear of the back of the cab. Lifting that w the excavator surely bent and damaged that corner. That is also intended to be reinsert while working inside till your done.

    • @JerichoRally
      @JerichoRally  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@yellowmetaldriver1460 nope. It went fast but it was in the video when I walked being the skid steer to put the locking pin in position (was out prior to lifting but that part was not in the video).
      4:30 shows the pin in locked position and also indicating it was not bent during my attempt to lift.

    • @raycowles6646
      @raycowles6646 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You won't want to lift cab with the hand bars. They are light steel tubing....mine were bent and one broken while a was logging....very easily damaged and they are meant for safety grabs....another Kubota engineering issue. The cab has padeyes on top if you NEED to lift it for any reason......they ARE NOT to lift entire loader though, just cab weight.

      I found that once the seal is broke loose, struts assist just fine, so, as you stated, that's it. Even at my age, I can lift the cab.....I use blocking to get it up a bit, then it becomes easier. Hope my comments help, thanks for the video.

    Did you have to bleed any air off the lines?

    • @JerichoRally
      @JerichoRally  ปีที่แล้ว

      In a sense. It's an open system. In the video I change the breather filter.
      To "bleed" the system, just operate a control, like curling the bucket, for an extended period of time. Any air will be moved through the lines.
