My Gen1 orange Monster has a lot of fading on the dial, and some of the black enamel on the bezel has been lost. The wear adds a lot of character and charm. The luminosity is still very strong. It has always gotten about 5 min fast per week.
I have two fourth generation monsters. I have the two Save the Ocean Antarctica Monsters SBDY105 and SBDY115. I absolutely love both of them. Like you said there’s not another watch like it . They also have the perfect size , weight , proportions and wrist presence. My SKX009 is the only other watch that feels as perfect on my wrist. By the way I own 14 Seiko’s lol 😂
Got my 1st generation black monster in December 01 and it's been on my wrist every day since then. When I say every day, I mean I have not gone a single day without wearing it. It's only stopped one time when I had surgery and I didn't move for two days.
@@HandleTimeChannel No but I think it could probably use a servicing. I am finding that every couple weeks, it'll be about 8-10 mins off. Been that way for the past few years. I'll be giving it to my daughter in a couple years so I'll probably get it serviced before that.
Nice! Great review. I have a "happy feet" Monster and a 2. gen orange Monster and it has kind of ruined other dive watches for me. They are so unique and high value that other divers kind of seem generic or clichè... Now I kind of whant a 1. gen orange Monster...

Absolutely! Wear so nice on the wrist. As a matter of fact, it's been on the wrist all this week. Wow, 14 Seiko's is quite a collection!
