Its based on the traveler 0 explained it your not actually traveling back in time isn't the timelines past but more a similar timeline basically. Each film is a multiverse of a different time line
There is no, actual, canon date for Judgment Day. The original date, as stated by Reese, only applied to his version of history. That date has happened in several other timelines (namely the Dark Horse Comics and novels), but it is not the defining date. Each time the TDE is used an alternative past (to that future) is created. Terminator Zero explains this and l, basically, justifies both Genesis and Dark Fate along with all the Various Novels, games, and comics. We now have a Terminator Multiverse.
I like to view judgement day as August of 97 for the vast majority of the known and unknown timelines. However, when Judgment day is averterd it's only delayed and moved forward in time. Making Skynet inevitable and a fixed point in time. And while I didn't like Dark Fate, we can explain this by it being a different timeline/universe in where judgment day still occured but with a different name like Legion instead of Skynet. Still making the concept of robots taking over the world and killing everyone but with a different AI. So now it's up to the writers on how to make war across timelines stop once and for all. And show how in every different timeline Skynet won or loss. Finally giving this series an ending.
Why is that the “true canon” date… because it was the first date we saw? Because you say so? If it changes with each film then it clearly doesn’t have a “canon” date… like what 🤦♂️
Maybe Skynet does understand that time travel creates new timelines. Kyle Reese said that Skynet had lost, so maybe time travel was an effort to create a timeline where they won, even if it didn't change the present. Heck, if Skynet could create time travel I bet they could figure out how to merge timelines, especially in a world without humans where they'd be pretty much immortal.
The terminator series should've ended at 3 or salvation. Salvation should've ended with the series coming full circle with John connor sending Kyle reese back in to the 80's to protect his mother(sarah connors) and persevere his future
You know what, after watching all them movies. I agree. They should’ve made it a closed timeloop and I think the franchise woulda been cemented as one of the best. Us fans would’ve been able to debate, dissect and theorized forever on it.
Salvation takes place in 2018 while the war we saw in the first movie was in 2029 but since we didn't get a sequel to salvation we're just gonna have to fill in the blank
Terminator 2 should have been the last one like as it was intended to be. T3 should have be a prequel to the first movie showing in detail the evens that lead to them sending the first terminator back as well as the reprogrammed T-800 from T2 and the T-1000 it would have to be directed by James Cameron of course
Terminator Zero may have just saved the Terminator franchise and made all the previous movies much better and make sense. What they did with the animated series was genius. I think we have Avengers End Game to thank for this. Now i want more.
I have some serious problems with the time travel element of that series - for one thing, how does the mysterious “prophet” character know anything about how time travel works? By her own admission nothing done in one timeline has any effect on the others, so where is she getting the information on the facts surrounding the time traveling conflict between humans and Skynet from? Secondly, the main protagonist was sent back to stop the Kokoro AI from being activated and the T-800’s objective was to kill the scientist that… Was working on Kokoro so that he couldn’t activate it… This is completely redundant and the series never explained why the protagonist’s existence was required in the first place! And this gets even more ridiculous once you realize that the T-800 came from the building that housed Kokoro’s core in that series’ future - which implies that Skynet already either destroyed or assimilated Kokoro: if Kokoro was already dealt with by Skynet, what purpose did sending the T-800 back serve? The narrative of “Zero” is a mess that raises far more questions that it answers!
We need a movie of the original timeline before any timeline hopping started, the original John, who his father was, how he rose to lead the resistance without foreknowledge of Skynet or training.
@@theinspiredmindYT that still wouldn't be the first timeline though... the first timeline where John wins the war and Skynet invents "time travel". That timeline must have existed to start all of this off.
What if John Connor's saviour timeline wasn't the first? What if some guy called General Generic-name sent a dude called Kyle Reese back in time to create and train a child capable of beating Skynet, and that is how the John Connor we know is born?
I believe that in Timeline A, John A. Connor's father is a John Doe. When the T 800 and Kyle Resse go back in time they create a new Timeline B, in wich Skynet is created by the T 800's chip and John B. Connor is fathered by Kyle Resse. In 2029, when the events loop again, a copy of Timeline B will be created.
@@Binge_Zone it can't be a closed loop if every time traveller is travelling to a different timeline though. All they did was create timeloops and different timelines
i like the idea of the splitting timelines explaining all the contradictions, changes, and inconsistencies in the franchise. sure it muddies the waters but it really opens up what can be explored. we have to remember the story at it's core is what happens to the world, not just Sarah and John Connor. Zero is a perfect example of this. now the question is are all 13 separate timelines continued on to a massive expanding multiverse, or does each new timeline wipe the others from existence somehow. and how the comics and tv series fit in.
I think each timeline exists on its own merit, undisturbed by the others. Nothing can change them, and trying to go back and do so only creates another branch that may be very similar (T1 and T2) or very different (T3 and Genisys). Each of them are their own timelines where the outcome can never be altered by any other future film.
The terminator movies are just alternate timelines and the birth or death if others because of the choice of the original. It used to annoy me, but when I see them in this light, its just intriguing. @The Binge Zone,If Skynet never sent a Terminator after Sarah in the 80's& that shows Kyle had no reason to follow it to the past to stop the machine's goal of elimitnating her in the first place, then that ensures John's birth/existance to go up against them? Stupid machine mistake by helping the human's side against themself?.
There is a real beginning. In the very first timeline John's dad is unknown, and skynet was a US defense project. Kyle Reese was just the only guy John knew who was badass enough to fight a T-800 naked. So the first movie is the second iteration already. When the T-800 runs down the phone book, he may have killed the true sarah, and the current sarah names her kid John, who is now not even the same person from the original timeline, and the rest is history.

& I thought BACK TO THE FUTURE films are confusing with there timelines.
What about the Sara Conner chronicles bro?
Since it changed too many things I excluded it. In that timeline Sarah Connor has a different birthday.
Right off the bat you got it wrong John Connor wouldn't even be born unless skynet sent his dad back so we're missing a timeline already.
It’s a variation of a closed time loop. The first movie would be the one we start to count since there’s no real beginning
All this time travel changes really is getting to my brain it's so yikes.....Avengers, dragon Ball Z(parallel future trunks)..... somehow manages to keep some stuff simple.....yet still complex.....still godd job trying to keep it simple as possible
John Connor was born in 1985 not 84 and T2 takes place in 1995.
T2 takes place 10 years after Termitator 1. According to the movie Sarah and T800
John Connor was conceived may 1984 and born feb 1985 T2 takes place 10 years after John was born
KOKORO*
Thx
The joke of the franchise isn't about trying to save humanity, it is about Skynet not accepting it cannot change the outcome, the future is set. Mankind will always win.
From WARGAMES, JOSHUA
"A strange game. The only winning move is not to play."
In X-Men also days of future present same thing, no development in their own future
I thought at the end Logan changed it all
Terminator movies -6
Timelines- 13😂
I'm actually,You left out the TV series
Sarah Connor chronicles. Its deals with a linear timeline outside of these shared timelines. They even changed her birth year in the show.
If this is the full timeline then why didn’t you include the Matrix movies?
Gotta get the details for the in between time
How did you know Aiko is the prophet?
Malcolm told her when he was dying
If "only organic matter can travel" then how come the terminator travels in the first place?
That’s why they put the human skin over them. The humanoid organic material covers the terminators.
@@Binge_Zonehow about the T-1000?
But where did you hear these things, it's not true at all
Anyone here got Facebook and sees that Sarah Conor love making face meme posts?
Bro when did Terminator zero came?😂
lol. On Netflix 3 weeks ago
Japan created kukoro holly shit
Dark Fate sucked ass
lol. Grace fight with Rev 9 was awesome though
Koroko
Kokoro
😮
This timeline is so messed up.
Lol
Genisys and salvation is not in the same timeline( best keep it that way.) salvation was a sequel to the rise of machine, while Genisys was a dumb reimagining made by a dumbass.
Ko ko ro not ko ro ko hehe
lol. My bad 😅
@Binge_Zone it was a great summarized video!
@ivanyudaji 🙏🏾 thank you
Why the f^7k did they decide to have any of the crap sequels canon to the Zero series.
They decided to make it all canon.
Look at it this way, thanks to terminator zero changing the time travel rules, the events of t2 could easilly result in the happy 2029 future where John is a senator, every version of t3 is different from that t2 timeline
It was mid and why is everything a anime now
lol every youtuber racing to explain terminator's timeline
