I might be backing, but I'm worried I'll spend too much! 😅 I'm interested in the RPG, but will have to convince myself not to buy all three books! Also, Gotham City in Flames and the batcomputer files look cool - I'll have to see what I'll get in the end. (I already own the core boxes :))
I’m interested in this now, but wish there were more details on the page. I’m thinking they should have separated the RPG from the board game Kickstarter.
As someone who has everything board game related if they do release everything this time around it’s going to cost around $750 and that’s before inflation and shipping.
Thanks so much for the video, it's really good! As a new channel it's really amazing seeing how high quality your videos are, and I really appreciated your opinion! :) I own the board game and it is pretty fun!
I am thinking they will be offering all the expansions for 1 and 2. Hopefully it will be everything though. I know some people want a few of the single minis as well.
I have all season 1 and 2, I would have gotten the two real expansions and the new anarky mini, but now there are cool stretchgoals like azrael batman and Ace the Batdog but you have to rebuy the rulebook and player aids (printed my own years ago) and the unproven fan-based solo mode that almost doubles the asking price and VAT. VAT was a killer for my interest in the RPG, though I probably would never had played them anyway so not worth 180€ or more it would have been for the 3 books.
I'm backing for sure! I have all season 1 and I only purchased a few things from season 2, so I might buy what I missed in the PM. I'm excited for the TTRPG too.
@@criticalfail I’m going to be honest I have been waiting for Solo/Co-op. Don’t have a gaming group, but looking. I’m a huge Batman fan. 🤓 Enjoying your content. Quick updates are fantastic. 👍🏼
I'm backing for a dollar. I would love to upgrade to a full board game pledge but I would only if they have ALL the content available from S1 and S2 and at their respective prices. If they don't offer everything and only bits and pieces, I won't go further than my dollar.
Great video, I am definitely getting the board game as I missed out before as there was no solo mode. I wonder if the solo mode could be adapted to Conan?
The campaign seems to be surprisingly poorly done for such an experienced company that ran really smooth and generous campaigns in the past. I think I'll skip this tbh. Not exactly cheap with shipping and VAT, honestly don't really have a niche in this genre in my collection, no SG for Board Games leaves me unexcited and I think the worst thing is the Batcomputer Files Add-On. Releasing poorly wirtten rules twice and needing BGG to make a bunch of player aids, getting a third chance after that and then selling these player aids as a seperate add-on instead of putting it at least in the newly printed core boxes let alone giving it to returning backers for free is just extremely poor form. No wonder this game has not even broken a million yet despite Monolith being an established company, the game system being loved overall and having the Batman IP tied to it. Also, I don't know if it was a good idea to do the double campaign thing with the RPG and BG. It was rather messy with Tanares already and this is probably going to suffer the same problems. Though Dragori did a WAY better job with the stretch goals and catering to returning backers.
Very well said. The more and more I look at the campaign, the more disappointed in it I am. They acknowledge that they want to create the hype for the RPG and they are not well rewarding the board game side. Their justification is they didn't do stretch goals for Season 2 as well. Which is fine and good if there was more board game content being offered or they were trickling it out, but they have given no indication that they have a full season's worth of content to add. They are banking on the coop and the sad bat computer expansion to be "content" and they are really just band-aids that should have been applied for free. The fact is that you can get the core experience from a local store for far less. I would say only use the PM to grab what you cannot locally or on the secondary market. I would have much rather seen two campaigns as you hint at. Dragori hooked me on Tanares because I could get the board game and then get the RPG and play with my minis and all that amazing content in a GM-less "almost" board game fashion. I can only imagine how the original backers felt to see the board game delayed so badly because of the RPG though. If that happens here, it will be disastrous!
The original Stretchgoals were a lie they planned them all from the start like most big boardgame developers. And since that first one they have just been getting more and more greedy.
Are you backing? Why? Why not?

Haha I always have that worry! This is very much a wait and see campaign for me right now.

I just got this in the other week, any new thoughts?

That’s about what I was figuring. Thanks!

Thank you! Glad to hear it’s fun. I’m sure it will be a hit with my friends.
:) D The TTRPG Looks Cool
It does. I wish I had more of a RPG group to try it.
@@criticalfail :) Ya
Great summary! I just found out about this game before season 3, so I'm really hoping for all season 1 & 2 reprints.

Yea the RPG just seems a bit pricey to me. I flounder back and forth on the core game price.
i love board game too, i want pledge only season 3, but i realy realy want that gotham A2 map :D ... if they add it on add-ons that be epic
Exactly. I REALLY wish they would have just added that stretch goal for all the pledges. I want that map as well for the wall.
I'm backing for sure! I have all season 1 and I only purchased a few things from season 2, so I might buy what I missed in the PM. I'm excited for the TTRPG too.
Awesome! Have you played much of the Adventure mode? Did you enjoy the missions?

I am sure the same system could be, but you would need an AI deck for it.

Not backing as it seems way too focused on the rpg. We can get the core game and season 1 stuff for less than its costing here. Oh well
Yea that’s what I was worried about. I’m in for a dollar and will see what all I can grab cheaper before the PM.
The original Stretchgoals were a lie they planned them all from the start like most big boardgame developers. And since that first one they have just been getting more and more greedy.
Sadly yes. The board game stretch goals are ok, but they really should have had two separate campaigns for this.
