Hi Pascal! What are your thoughts about going for a marathon with a hard boot, street skate, such as the Next 125s? I have this idea that one could do jumps and hard stops when required (obstacles, people falling ahead, etc) as an advantage, but it seems very situational, isn't it? I do have at least an avg speed a little more than 20 km/h with them

A sub 2h time can be achieved with any speed or fitness skate such as the next 125s. When it comes to really fast times and high speeds you want to look at other skates with a lower and harder boot for more flexibility and a more direct power transmission.

No worries your Powerslide Next will do amazing. I did the Berlin marathon in less than 1,5 hours on my Powerslide Swell Nite xD I do have a long frame or you really need to push pretty fast to maintain 30 kph average. But it is doable, even with shorter frame. There are no jumps and no obstacles involved in a marathon usually. I don't think that jumping out of the way is really a thing, if someone falls in front of you you either get hit aswell or have the time to move around them. Good luck !
