It's a shame they're not posted In order of being published. I can't read books anymore and to buy audio books becomes too expensive so I am truly thankful for these. X
Thanks for posting, it's a great way to get the housework done while being transported to somewhere else, I really enjoy village life and catching up with Agatha again
Brilliant - I miss Agatha and Carsley !!! To find this gem on a cold Saturday afternoon is almost as warming as the casserole I’ve made - sticks to your ribs and fills you up! Thank you so much 😊
Got to be honest and say I wasn't expecting to enjoy the reading of this. Only heard Ms PK (and enjoyed) Agatha before... But I'm really glad to say how much I've loved listening to the voice/story telling. 10/10. Thank you 💖
When we got to what seemed like the end it started in again from midway through. Not sure if you realized that when you posted. Thanks for sharing. Love Agatha Raisin 👍
I love these stories and really thankful to listen but it sounds like it’s been recorded in a cave or big empty room- I’m finding it very distracting 😮😢
Excellent narration. The recording program needed to be properly set up to prevent the echo. Just a learning curve of using audio equipment. It might be missing a cord or vol just set too high. For a home recording it’s really fantastic though.
The book ends at 5 hours and 40 minutes. The audio pauses for a few seconds and picks up again, but it replays earlier content that had already played from 4:49:16. That repeated section runs all the way through to the end again. I think there is one other anomaly, but I can't recall exactly where it happens. I believe that a short section of audio is missing from the first audio stream because some detail wasn't explained. However, the repeated section at the end had that snippet in it. So, a good listen through from 4:49 to 5:40 will reveal the bit that's missing. Someone in the comments mentioned the value of having the narrator speak the words, "The End" when a book finishes, and I agree with that. I assume that you, the person posting this has nothing to do with the production of the original audio, so mentioning the benefit so having 'The End' spoken out may ring true to you as well, but there may be nothing you can do about it. I don't know. I hope you can get the issue with the extra audio at the end resolved. With all that said, I enjoyed the story, and the narrator did a fine job.
You probably meant that the story is over at 5:40:00 ... since 5:40 is less than six minutes. As for this ending and then the rest of the video repeating earlier material, I can't stand that. And there seems to be a lot of it on TH-cam, be it audio books/dramas or television episodes. A video will appear to be 47 minutes but the program actually finished around 30 minutes in and then some of the program is repeated, etc. I don't get this at all. There can be no reason for this that will satisfy me; I don't care what criteria are used as examples for why this stupid phenomenon is practiced.
@@eduardo_corrochio Thanks, Eduardo. You are correct, I meant five hours and forty minutes. I changed it in my comment because you pointed that out. My opinion is that the audio in this video was messed up by accident, not as an intentional way to pad the length. But you are correct, many videos are padded. I believe that TH-cam pays more money for longer videos, so they have a motive to cheat. Anyway, did you listen to this production and hear what I said about the problems?
@@deezynar Hi. No, I didn't listen to the recording here. Based on your comments earlier, I'm too leary now that there may be unexpected issues that annoy me in this upload. It's a hefty audio chunk, and I'd rather not invest time into something that will most likely disappointment and/or enrage me, LOL. Thanks!
Sloppy posting. The story actually ends at (5:40:01) when Agatha "sets off on the long journey home." (The next hour is a repeat section from mid-story.)
Halfway through and the plot doesn't seem to be getting anywhere! It would be better if the story was abridged to about 25% of its original length, perhaps then it might be less of a bore.
Jy is gedeeltelik reg: Marion Chesney is oorlede in 2019. Die laaste "Agatha" boek wat sy geskryf het, is Beating about the Bush, enige iets wat na dit gepubliseer is, is deur 'n alternatiewe skrywer geskryf. Groete, Suzanne
Why do you include backgrounds? You make them annoying with this white thing stuck in the middle when they could be relaxing, adding to your audio content. Why not either remove them or integrate them greatly improving video? As is, it is just annoying drawing attention to the voice which is ........at best harsh, and way too much echo. I don't understand why basic film making skills are sorely lacking.
Just love Agatha Raisin especially with Penelope Keith. 🎉❤
I love the moving scenery! Thank you for the great story.
To come across am Agatha Raisin I havent re-re-re-played is a real delight. many thanks/

This was a great story - love Agatha!
Love it!
More please
If Agatha doesn’t want Charles, I’m in line! So much nicer than James or this John 😁Anyone agree?
No, too shallow and unfaithful
When we got to what seemed like the end it started in again from midway through. Not sure if you realized that when you posted. Thanks for sharing. Love Agatha Raisin 👍
thank you for the input, i will check the sound again
Hahaha. I thought it was me!! I thought I had fell asleep or something!! Had I decided to rewind?
It seems like last two disks are in wrong order.

I’m deaf to start with but use subtitles ( some a laugh a minute!) so I appreciate your help
Thank you so very much
same here, very echoey.
I actually liked the echo.
Thanks for the upload, there's an echo though if you can, please fix it. 😊

I understand.
Why is there a horrible echo? 😱
End of this repeats so that you're unsure if the second time it's actually ended. It's handy when someone actually says, The End.
shame about the quality of the sound - too echoey
Recorded in a well?
LOve these stories but this one was spoiled by the bookstore ad stuck right I'm the middle of the screen.
The narrator sounds as if she is reading from a floatation tank.
Is their any way to alter the echo
😂😂😂
Hahaha Very echoey

Great reading, and love the books, but had to give up, the echo was too distracting 😢
Can you upload 'The Witches' ready by Simon Callow?
Penelope Keith please! 🙃
What’s with the echo? Cannot deal.
2:56:57 Every menopausal woman knows this obsession! 😂😂😂😂
Thanks. Haven’t found this on on audio from the library.
Agatha is an awful person though. 😂
Yes. She is dreadful
The tv series does NOT do the books jusrice. Acorn tv gutted the character!
Plz add some regency romances! Mc beaton is my favorite
Sound quality is very echoey.
❤
I wish we could see the beautiful scenery behind the pointless book store advertisement 😕
Why was the character named Raisin? I've never read or listened to a story featuring this person.
Am I crazy or was there a repeat at the end?
Love the story but hate the echo
Why does it sound like an echo?
Where can a reading of this story be found?
In a bookstore?
was this recorded in a cave
Echo chamber???😮
I can't really identify with this reading. Missing the characters' usual voices, especially Penelope Keith as Agatha
Indeed, the adaptation ( for radio?) is so much better.......
This vouce is grating and annoying which quite defeats purpose of audible books.
Penelope Keith are the only ones I listen to free or not.
This lady’s voice sounds more fitted to the vicar’s wife, not haughty Agatha
And she occasionally slips into US English which is deeply weird.

No Penelope Keith will give it a miss

The butcher 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Do you ladies realise this story is written by a man? Mc Beaton is long gone......
Nope. She was a woman, her maiden name Marion Chesney stands for the MC. Her married name was Gibbons.

Too long
Terrible sound, gave up after 2 minutes
