My favorite movie as of right now, (this masterpiece), wouldn't be my favorite without its cinematography. There's a shot close to the beginning of the film, before either of the characters said anything, where the men are walking on the edge of a rocky cliff. In this shot, the men are located towards the top of the shot, and most of it simply shows the treacherous nature of the landscape. Genius.

Hey, this is great. I've never seen content exactly like this. Cinematography is my passion and I like to watch analyses on it, but the majority of the time I forget the purpose of the analysis I'm watching and realize I'm just listening to some guy rambling about a few points. The information is very direct here since it comes from the filmmakers themselves, and you balanced the film footage and behind the scenes footage well. You should do more of these for other movies, it's interesting to see how much thought actually goes into cinematography.

Second favourite movie of all time here, and definitely the best I've ever seen. I understand you can not like this film, but I don't think I've ever seen a film before which seemed to be so true to the original vision and so perfectly crafted. Nothing about this film was a compromise, everything worked, everything had intent. Realistically, I don't know if this film could be improved upon without just making it something different

Anyone who loves this film and its cinematography - I highly recommend buying an old 35mm camera and shooting some black and white. I've only been doing it for about a year but it gives you such an appreciation for shooting movies with film (if in a much more small-scale way)

I'm liking and commenting for sake of your ratios but I refuse to watch this fucking video until I can ACTUALLY watch the lighthouse. You're not going to spoil me this time, haha
