Cool tattoo on Sctott's arm. Never knew Sardi's had a Hollywood location Always learning something new about my old stomping grounds from you, that's what makes you such a great creator. Met Maurice Chevalier in the mid 1960's, Turned out our mom knew him and we were invited to his show in West Covina or Covina, don't remember, but do remember he was a nice guy to my brother and to me. Thanks for rattling loose some memories.
It honestly kind of surprises me that Manson even had a funeral. Thanks for another very cool video! I’ve heard of Sardis in relationship to Judy Garland, but I don’t remember what I heard lol, if she went to one of them or both of them or what, but that’s how it rings a bell for me.

Really enjoy your visits to the sites of old Hollywood and Los Angeles when people had a taste of class. Sardi's is reminiscent of what was known back then as the Cafe Society. Don Macneil had a radio Breakfast Club broadcast from Chicago 1933 to 1968. Apparently going back to then people liked information linked to showbiz over their morning coffe, scrambled eggs and toast. Very happy to see you have a new espresso machine. Every new day begins right with the taste and aroma of fresh brew.
It's cool that Scott Michaels knows how you appreciate what he does, knows, and has... You attract good people, because you ARE good people.

Back in the late '60s and early '70s there was a nightclub on this spot called "The Cave." I remember Ike and Tina Turner playing there. Jordan, thanks for posting this; never know we had a Sardi's in Hollywood.

Thank you for straightening out what has been for me a point of minor confusion and that is, is Sardis in New York or Hollywood. Now I know why I could never get it straight, Sardis was at one time, in both. I knew Crawford loved Sardis and I knew Broadway types loved the place so all of that I found confusing but no more. When I get out there I must remember to stop by Michaels place to either book a tour or just look at all that treasure. Glad to see the Hollywood "Swells" are wising up and inviting you to their functions. No one could cover it better than you.

Great vlog today Jordan thank you. Fun little story i will always cherish from Sardi's in NY. Myself,mom,one of my sis's and a friend from childhood went there a couple of years ago for dinner.Of course you know you have to make reservations to dine because the place is always packed out. Well we made our reservations the day before and had woke up,everyone had their showers and had gotten ready to venture out to the city to do some sight seeing before dinner. I received a phone call that afternoon from the manager of Sardi's stating that they had over booked and if it would be ok if he gave us an upgrade to the vip room(section) since the regular dining area was booked out at that time and i said sure ,of course. Anyway,long story short,we are having our appetizers and making small talk about the places and things we had seen that day and i kid you not in walks Adele....THE Adele!!!! Myself and my entire family are huge fans of her's and struck out on concert tickets to any shows around us because they sold out in seconds. Next thing i know,someone stands from her table(which was just 3 tables down from us) and announced it was her birthday and if we would all please sing happy birthday to her. As we were singing she blushed crimson and was smiling so bright. No one ever approached her table for respect reasons plus security but it was so nice to see and be able to sing happy birthday to her even if we didn't get to any of her shows,it was fantastic to just be in the same room as her.

Interesting vlog. I didn't know there was a Sardi's in Los Angeles. I thought there was only the one in New York. I love learning something new. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. Hi Jordan I just want to thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge about old Hollywood. I liked this one about Sardis and I then went back and I just finished part 1 of Mae West. As a child I liked to watch the old movies like The Birds, Inherit The Wind and Cyrano de Bergerac. My father was a big John Wayne fan, so growing up in the late 70's and 80's. I watched alot of his reruns from old to his first run In theatres. I also want to apologize to you, because I know people support you on here with donations and gifts. I would love to do that and I will once I beat my renal cancer and stage 4 small cell lung cancer. They say it's terminal but I take this drug called opdivo and it's been keeping it from spreading. Thanks again for being so cool and sharing so much.

We went on a Dearly Departed tour, it's three hours packed with Hollywood history - at the actual site where it happened. Excellent!

Scott en Dearly Departed is a sure treat whn he appears on the vlogs Jordan.
He died in September not October as this fan states. Actual date was Friday September 30, 1955 around 5:45 pm while driving on CA Route 466 East on route to a race he had entered in Salinas, CA. Accident which proved fatal was at the intersection of 466 (today 46) and Hwy 41. DOA at the hospital in Paso Robles.

Sometimes buying the most expensive item isn't always the best idea. I find that when you get something with a lot of stuff on it, it's just something else to go wrong. Love the Espresso machines but never hear of Sardi's.

Sardi's kind of directly sets up the contrast between NYC and Hollywood - in that - Sardi's is still a popular celebrity spot/bar & restaurant in NYC - and in Hollywood, it is a strip club!
