Jinjer has been one of my favorite bands for 6 years now. The Jinjer rabbit hole adventure has been one well worth taking.

My most recent favorite video of thiers is the Live version of "Call me a Symbol" Live in LA (Napalm Recirds OMV) There is also a good Official Studio music video to compare it to.
Another great live performance with a studio video to compare would be the song "Pit of Consciousness" comparing the original video to the Live in Kiev version.

Pit of Consciousness omv vs Live in Kiev (Kyiv) would be another this format would serve well.

Thank you for doing both the official and live at Wacken for this, I love it! Pit of Consciousness official and live in Kiev/Kyiv is another one where both are fantastic!

This isn't one of their usual closing songs. I'm pretty sure their set was cut short at this show. They have been using it as the opener more recently and come out to the intro part without the spoken part now. They do use a layer of backing vocals for Tati to harmonize with in the tracks at times live. You can hear it in this video if you listen closely.
If you want to keep doing the OMV and live reactions, I'd recommend either Sit Stay Roll Over with the live in Melbourne version or Call Me A Symbol with the live in LA video from their upcoming live album/dvd.

I've heard the closer was supposed to be Sit Stay Roll Over but they were the first band to play and there was some technical difficulties.

@@j.f.fisher5318 That seems pretty likely. It was pretty common for them to use that or Captain Clock as the closer, especially back then

Glad you enjoyed Jinjer doing their thing. They are *top-tier* live for sure. All 4 of them are truly excellent at what they do. If you want to switch things up a tad with Jinjer double-headers in a way that emphasises how good the lads are as musicians, I recommend the OMV for Vortex followed by Eugene's #MasterClass bass playthrough vid, & the OMV for Mediator followed by Vlad's impressive drum cam vid. I still struggle to get my head around the fact that Vlad is a classically trained pianist to trade!! #CrazyTalented
p.s. it sounded like you were only about 3dB away from recording your audio in a commercial kitchen LOL I'll leave it at that, given that I'm sure you'll get plenty of comments mentioning the word "distraction". ;)

In case you're wondering, the snow in the OMV was real and Tatiana was walking barefooted in it. 🙂
7:10 - Well, if you consider that their concert was at around 11 AM and a crowd that big showed up to see them (most people were probably up since the last concert on the previous night), I'd rather say that they were sad to see them go, especially because they had to cut their setlist short due to the delay of the start of their show caused by some problems with the stage's gear.
12:35 - "Djent" or "Djenty" are two words that don't apply to Jinjer's music style. The parts you were referring to have nothing Djent or Djenty about them.
14:35 - I don't think Tatiana was trying to "disguise" any impossibility to perform live what she did in the studio, what she did was to improve on or to rearrange the original so that it doesn't become boring to listener to be hearing the same things over and over in each concert. She does it with lots of songs because most of the time she doesn't prepare what she's going to do in the studio and almost everything is improvised on the spot and when they start rehearsing the songs for the concerts she doesn't remember what she did in the studio, so she has to "learn" the songs again and that usually leads to not singing them exactly how they were recorded or to change some things that she feels need some improvement after several listenings.
15:41 - They add vocal harmonies to some songs in a live setting (although that wasn't the case in Perennial's live version, the harmonies in the calmer part were not present live, they were added in post), so it proves that it can be done without backing singers. Vlad has a laptop by his side that sends a click track to the band's in-ear monitors, as well as some pre-recorded tracks with vocal harmonies, intros (again, like in Perennial live video) and other sounds that were part of the songs' studio recordings.

I would suggest Outlander Live at Loudfest. That is an earlier video. Tatiana sounds amazing in that one as usual but it is closer to the way she sang earlier in her career rather than how she sounds now.

Sorry. Lots of oversights led to that obnoxious noise. My bad.

    woo-hoo -- i'm famous now 🥳😂)
ngl, you could review Tatiana literally just belching and i'd still show up to watch 🤣
If you'd be interested in a band that many consider to be just straight-up _better_ live than in-studio, maybe check out The Warning (well, that _has become_ the case in recent years). as for a start point to compare/contrast of live vs OMV, my default answer is _Evolve_ (MTV VMAs for the live version) ; but you can't go wrong with _Hell You Call a Dream_ (Pepsi Center for the live) or _When I'm Alone_ (Teatro Metropolitan for the live).
also, there is worse branding than cheesy intros 😂

Dude what do you have running causing all that background noise. It's annoying
