I knew our situation was a bit unusual at our age, but I never realized it would cause such a response. So, just to update all you wonderful people, we are still very much in love. It is amazing and I am very gratified as is my beautiful wife! All the love and comments that keep pouring in 20 months after my original post! I knew our situation was a bit unusual at our age, but I never realized it would cause such a response. So, just to update all you wonderful people, we are still very much in love. We got married in Las Vegas 18 months ago and have been living a great life since. I still open doors, bring her flowers and treat her like the princess she is. And she treats me like a king. If you were to be around us much, you would probably be embarrassed by all the PDA. I think we are both doing something right!
Doug you are doing EVERYTHING right it's so refreshing and wonderful to hear a guy who still believes in opening doors for a lady even if they're married and bringing her flowers this generation has no idea of the meaning chivalry or respect and its sad, me, I just turned 58 and I still do the same for women I lost my wife to cancer 9 months ago and for some reason doing those things seems even more special, you continue treating your wife like the queen she is and may God bless you both, cheers.
