I'm with Sunny! Why is Miranda focused on the audience instead of singing and entertaining the audience? Everyone take pictures and selfies at concerts. If she doesn't want pictures, she should have a rule of no phones or video at her concerts.

It was a huge setup w multiple women facing away from the stage w a HUGE bright flash bulb. I thought it was insane too until I saw the pictures, they were doing straight up press tour esque photography
Because performing music can and used to involve a performer-audience connection, where the person on stage is a human being you connect with not a circus monkey on display.
There's a whole music album that touches upon that, among other topics. It's called "The Wall".
She needs a reality check .If fans paid $700 a ticket to see her sing and they wanted a moment to take a photo for a keep sake she should be grateful that they are doing that, free promotion. But no. She wouldn’t get a nickel from me after this. Privilege at it finest

I think you need the reality check. People record 1hr+ videos with selfie sticks in concerts just because they can. This is childish behaviour at best. Taking pictures is one thing but video recording is anoying everyone. All for the sake of internet clout.
@@Dragonfury3000 so next time you go to a concert don’t bring your phone or camera if that’s how you feel but most people since the age of dawn have brought some kind of recording device even just audio to remember their favourite artists on stage, especially younger crowds, I’m sure fans of Elvis, Beatles,and many more have done this, but someone like her who is and I have heard she not a very nice person she has a history of being this way. She is lucky she has a fan base, I’m sure there are many artists out there would love to have her fan base because she sure don’t appreciate them, just their money. It goes with the territory of being an artist, people are going to take photos unless you totally ban all recording devices it’s never going to stop. Just remember these people are excited to see this artist and they are living in the moment and want pictures to show that, even if it’s for internet clout they are excited and she should be grateful, promotion for her tour, sharing with others who can’t afford $700 a seat it doesn’t matter what or why they want to do this it’s their moment.
@@gogengo1977 selfie sticks only work if you turn your back to the artist which is pretty disrespectful that's a person on stage not a statue or some animatronic. It's all about having some common sense just take some pictures with no flash and record a 30sec clip and enjoy the show. The fanatics that keep everything recorded and all that don't even realize their not even enjoying the moment for themselves.
Ive been to shows, where you werent allowed to take any pics or videos. They'll remove you if you do. Youre there to enjoy an experience.....you dont need a selfie

It is on the venue rules ,Miranda requested no cameras with flashes at her performance, they were using a flash. I have been to several of her concerts, she's very attentive to what is going on out in the audience, flashes are distracting to her and others trying to watch her.

That's a crock! I went to two Elvis Presley concerts and flash pics were happening ALL over the venues. NO body was upset and nobody on stage was "distracted". THIS concert diva was just being an elitist!

Is it being diva? It wasn't too long ago that Justin Bieber walked out on an audience because they were singing along with his songs. When he asked them to stop and they didn't he walked out. He later said he couldn't concentrate. You have to know that when any artist(s) performs they also need to focus precisely because they're performing before people who paid good money for tickets. But if the audience begins to take pictures, to talk on their phones, to sing along...it distracts.

Chicago cubs park had a/DC the crown trashed the place so bad that they were thinking of not having any more concerts there they changed there minds and just had a mellow singer preform there .me as a singer I always welcomed pics at my concerts I don't mind at plays to but, people have problems with this they don't want that they really want u to buy there posed pics I remember Pam Tillis singing autographs and she hated signing pics she didn't pose for she claims she looks ugly .she isn't but ,she said that not me I thinks she looks delightful

Most concerts note require before the show if they want you to put their phones away.. they’re trying to get it back where ppl can enjoy the show especially when their paying so much $. But they’ll say it before the show begins not during the show.. another thing allot if ppl when their told only during the shoe put your phones away -it’s a safety hazard bc it’s blinding to the security and ppl in the crowd. Ppl are loving the fact they enforce these rules not they say they have a GREAT time actually being able to see the performance and actually be in the moment instead of all the phones on ALL the time. Should she have gone about it a different east-ABSOLUTELY. But everyone is ALWAYS on their phone’s all the time. And again it’s a safety hazard. But like I bc said they usually starts it before the shows AND give you certain times when you can take the selfie. I know I wouldn’t want to be seeing ppls phones the whole time no matter how much I paid but even more if I paid for more expensive tickets (that’s just my opinion) but again with all the ppl that we’re getting hurt and even more horrible things it’s considered a safety hazard.

More celebrities are asking for attendees to turn off their cell phones. I enjoy concerts more by turning off my phone. In fact, it's annoying to try and watch a concert and all I see are cell phones in front of me.

I was in Las Vegas in May for a few shows. No cameras allowed for Cirque du Soleil. THAT makes a lot of sense because they’re acrobats for goodness sakes!
I took quite a bit of video footage of Ringo and Barry Manilow shows. No problem whatsoever.
There was someone beside me that was told to turn off the bright light switch of her cellphone, that makes sense. But a reg video light on a phone w all those other blinding lights that come fr the stage hardly make a diff!
I’ve always had a much bigger problem sitting/standing behind very tall people or those who keep talking during a song!
1. They waited until the end of her concert to take the photo.
2. They tried to take a photo in the beginning but it was too dark.
3. They weren’t loud, obnoxious or in anyway disruptive.
4. I understand all about being in the moment but it was a picture. I see concertgoers recording the whole time and never put the phone down. That’s annoying.
She's mad because Gwen Stefani's with her former man. If I pay that much money, Miranda needs to perform in my living room and she really needs to shut up.
I sure concert goers in today's society don't remember or know that not that long ago photos where never permitted during the show. I can not say the reason for this particular issue being a big deal, but all I have to say is "Get over it!"
Before everyone had access to a fancy camera on their phone and social media , photographs of performers used to be worth $$$ So, cameras were banned except the photographers who paid the rights to be there. That's the way I've always understood it.
You're not supposed to take cameras in a concert and snap pictures. I couldn't do it at a Dolly Parton concert and I paid 3 times more for my seat than anyone else did.
I've been to concerts where people were drunk and fighting. That's more annoying than someone taking a selfie. This was a bit over the top

Depends on if there were rules beforehand. Many Las Vegas concerts have the options to be no camera concerts. She should have implemented that.

Artists should learn to embrace this crap, rather than fight it. If someone isn't fully engaged in the music, that's THEIR problem. A few of the artists I follow have even taken the fan's phone up on stage and taken pics FOR them ! No interruption of the show. Everyone's happy.

The fact that it was a group of women trying to get a good group photo while having fun but were pointed out and humiliated for it-let that sink in. This life is short. People have a right to have fun and capture memories. As a woman, she should've considered the fact that these women came out to her concert to unwind, enjoy themselves and escape the hustle and bustle of life. So what if they don't give their undivided attn every moment along the way. As long as they're having fun and the ticket is paid, I'm getting my coins, nobody is getting hurt, they're happy, I'm happy, it's all good. And always remember, fans are just as privileged to witness your artistry as you are to be part of their life moments. It's giving mean spirited, miserable karen on a powertrip. I'd like to think that's not really who she is, but that's what it's giving.

God forbid a concert goer take a novelty selfie with their favorite singer. It might chip away at the money that pays for multiple mansions, vacation villas, private planes and a privileged life. Allowing photography other than professional has always been disrespectful to the artist. Most venues don’t allow photography. People need to live in the moment anyway, if I were her tho I probably wouldn’t have stopped the show over it.

The problem is that anyone pays over $700 to see anyone period. There’s no way on earth I would spend a small fortune to attend in person what I can hear better for free any day of the week out of the comfort of my own home . People need to start refusing to pay such high prices so that venues are forced to reduce them. Having said that, I disagree with Whoopi. Fans don’t go solely for the performer, but for the live concert experience, and as such, if they choose to spend part of that time with their cell phone in front of their face, that’s their prerogative, and quite frankly, none of the performer’s business. If it bothers her that much, maybe she shouldn’t tour anymore. Oh, no wait….is it not annoying enough to forgo her salary?! …. Didn’t think so….
