By the way, this song is so full of details and so well crafted that it's been studied at the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music for a while.
Aside from reacting to the live version of And plague flowers the kaleidoscope, if you want to return to NeO later I'd suggest Forget Not, As Icicles Falls, or Eyrie. Those are such beautiful songs, just masterpieces.

There's 3 separate "parts" to it, but part 2 is the main music song of it. Part I and Part III is a progressive intro/outro (respectively). All 3 parts makes the song 27 minutes in total lenght, and Part II is about 19 minutes (from the top of my head).

Fun fact, this song is used in Sydney Conservatory of Music for songwriting classes!
Next song id suggest "In The Shadow of Our Pale Companion" by Agalloch, its a beautiful masterpiece you will lose yourself in!

There's a German tech/prog band called Unprocessed that's just starting to break out of their shell. They blew me away the first time I heard them! If you're curious, start with the song Haven.
Some Periphery would be really cool too! A Reptile or Blood Eagle reaction would be amazing.

You have to check out tesseract brotha, please trust me I can sense your style and they will change your world! Check out Proxy or Dystopia from them. Both first songs off of 2 different albums. Both different singers. Same incredible band... trust brotha! Great videos maine!

Honestly, between just this track, Painters of The Tempest pt. II & Icicles Fall, I'd say Ne Obliviscaris have some of the most remarkable Death Metal moments in the genre's entire history.

If you want something ridiculous to react to, I'd definitely suggest devin townsends song genesis. It's basically the intro track for his newest album "Empath". Highly recommend giving the whole album a listen.

Fleshgod Apocalypse! Listen to The Deceit and The Violation, but you have to listen to them back to back directly so they flow into each other. Symphonic Death Metal with prog elements, and insanely fast drums

Gotta say , I never heard o'these lads much beore and this is me first experience with them. Ton of stuff happening after the other, so as ya said, tis many a happy relistens to properly digest whats following what and anticipate the next change. The violin- that can be quite prominent in many "Folk Metal" bands aswell. Ill jump in on the Devin Townsend charge here too, by sayin twould be cool to see ya watch "Deadhead", and maybe then , you could ready yerself for someting like "Genesis" from him. That song is absolutely bonkers brilliant! And the new Trivium album is amazing. "The Catastrophist" is an awesome song.

love the reactions, i have a request for you to react to something more ancient sounding, the band Heilung (Hi-Lung), the word means healing in German. they are a 3 piece band that produces amplified history, because they get inspiration from ancient artifacts from the iron age and viking age.
here are some songs that they played live in there first ever concert-LIFA
Alfadhirhaiti- th-cam.com/video/2wy-W-pYlds/w-d-xo.html Second song of the show
Krigsgaldr- th-cam.com/video/QRg_8NNPTD8/w-d-xo.html Fourth song of the show
In Maidjan- th-cam.com/video/kmWTZ3KfnXE/w-d-xo.html First song of the show
Othan- th-cam.com/video/GPV38e7yfSo/w-d-xo.html Seventh song of the show (my favorite)
you 'll have to copy paste the links
Hope you enjoy, they are something special and one of my all time favorite bands

So good to hear you enjoyed this, check out more of their songs. I love every single song they have put out.
Those who love classical and metal, Ne Obliviscaris is the band for them :)
Check out Eyrie if you want more violin

Lyrics 8.5/10 lmao... this song has one of the best black metal lyrics i've ever heard - and trust me i listen to a lot of cool shit like Mgla or Rivers of Nihil. There are multiple ways you can interpret the song but the vibe I get is they are basically trying to potray the misery and decadence of humanity during the Dark Age.

maybe you should listen sometimes to something easy, there are only few times i can digest proggressive metal and enjoy it. Since u have less experience with violin, here is a mix of bands where violin adds some important aspect to music:
    Korpiklaani - Wooden Pints
    Alestorm - Drink
    Eluveitie - any song, really

well yeah, ne obliviscaris also definitely break that rule; they are gods when they play live. but i 100% agree with hitting up the studio version of a track when first jumping into anything
