To fix viper, they either need to decrease her skill floor or increase her skill ceiling or both. This means either make her easier to play or more rewarding to play the more skilled you are with her.
Tbh it's realistic, her walking in her ult and being able to breathe without decaying is okay because she's wearing a mask. But walking on her poison is not ridiculous at all, I mean. It's literally poision and she's not wearing anything to avoid it

Honestly i feel like it should just do slow regular damadge, like phoenix's abilitys
They'd probably sacrifice something in exchange for that to happen, say like the wall being shorter in length. Tho it would be nice to recall those things and wall off multiple times.

Her ult sprayer and her passive ability to highlight the enemy inside her ult. Both of her gas-emitter with fuel that can be recharged (not refill but recharge).

I've been playing valorant for almost 2 weeks now and I wanted to main Viper but memorizing all line-ups was not easy. Plus I don't always have a good aim and I get nervous when I'm the last one standing. I love Viper so much that I had to drop her so that the other players wouldn't hate her... But now I want to get better so I can prove everyone that Viper isn't useless 😭😭
I play Viper from the beginning... she wasn't good at the start and still not meta yet maybe but she always was the funniest to play! (Her face could be less ugly)
Being able to Hold Q to recall your grenade (so long as you're within a certain distance) would be a great buff. so hard to find scenarios where you can really reuse it somewhere else right now
I think the main objective of viper is to block los and flushing enemies out of corner and not deal damage. She requires some more buffs to be in the meta like buffing her snakebite is must to deal more damage or increase in area. Then the rate at which the decayed health is regained should be decreased. When inside her ultimate enemies should see less area. I think presently viper and enemies see the same distance while viper only highlights in red.
viper is easy to play but hard to master and thats why she isnt picked so often. kids would rather pick raze and have fun with rockets than control the game by thinking. There are so many creative ways of utilizing abilities...
None of my friends play her and i'm the only one able to. We enjoy playing around viper's wall when attacking where we rush to a site and plant quickly.
Thanks for the good vid, I was maining her but playing a lot of games everybody wanted me to play sage, cause they dont want to play sage, so i played sage so often, that I have to call her my main (no offence to sage mains, i just dont like her so much), but this vid gave me hope, that maybe one day viper is in the meta again and i can play her without my teammates screaming at me...
I think a good buff for viper would be to have her toxic screen do little damage like let's say 2 dps, instead of decay. Because if you think about it, if there is a clutch situation and the enemy is super low they won't want to push the toxin screen in order to stay alive.
I think Viper needs more flexibility for teamwork, so he needs some mechanics that allow him to create new strategies for his team. My idea is that all Viper's abilities, both its screen and its smoke and its ultimate should be able to mute the sounds in such a way that if an enemy is behind your toxic screen he does not hear anything from the other side, this would allow Viper to comply its role as a controller correctly because it could deny important information to enemies (as a controller must do) and it would also allow its team to sneak into place in a super stealthy way, making this person worthwhile and can be created different strategies with this one. Postscript: This would also go according to the character's description on the official Valorant website, which literally says: "... If the toxins don't kill their prey, their mind games certainly will.

Dude I love maining Viper, I just hate when other players in the lobby either try to "mansplain" my character to me or they just don't want a Viper on their team. She's by far my fav to play and has some of the best abilities!
I actually have a good Idea that will make viper's Q more usable if you made a mistake. Like you know sometime you can't really find and pick up viper's Q and sometimes you can pick it up because it's to far out of range or your running out of time right. So why not add a perk like adding magnet into it like pressing Q 3 or 4 times your Q will attend the Q back to you making it usable again but it will have a 1 or 2 second cool down to be a little bit fair for the enemy. And it has a range limit on taking back your Q because it's unfair if you can place your Q across the map and taking it back when you're not even close to the your Q making it confusing as hell.
Or remove the range magnet limit and add a perk where when you magnet back your Q if the smoke is still active the smoke will not be deactivated if it's not in viper's hands.
With the current 30 decay it also make the Vandal a viable close range as that is a fight you can win against phantom or vandal if timed when they walk through the smoke.
not even close to complete, plus pro vipers aren't half as knowledgeable as people who put thousands of hours into one-tricking viper (i.e. unidaro, swoopy, raion)
Recently I got this idea for viper Vipers molly has another mode which allows her to shoot a dart which does 5dps till they remove it similar to the tracking dart but takes longer she has 2 charges and they count for the molly charges
It’s not a bad idea but it doesn’t line up with her matchup and it’s way worse than her snake bite. Viper mainly focuses on locking down site where she won’t be peaking as much as possible, having the dart is just not optimal especially for that amount of damage. I would also feel any more than that amount of dps would be broken. The snakebite could essentially be seen as the dart with a bit less of an activation time which might be good, however it doesn’t make up for potentially holding off an whole team alone. Overall, a second ability option might be good but I feel she’s already been padded out very well and doesn’t need a repatch. Maybe a snakebite variant that’s her smoke, but lasts a bit longer?

Nah they should let you either make one big wall or two smaller ones
A decent buff would just be to allow you to recall her orb from anywhere inside the smoke so you don’t have to look down at it to pick it up

Don't forget that phantom doesn't have tracer rounds, so it's even harder to keep track of viper through all of her utility. Same goes for the ghost.

you forgot that while in vipers ult, after a period of decay time you get down to 1 hp which can be gained back when you get out of the ult
it's not instant though. your decay stays on you for a couple of seconds before restoring back to normal hp.

Nah we iron scrubs only instalock jett or raze (although I main Cypher and flex to Brim or Sadge and can't play duelists for the love of God)

I don't think 2 smokes are necessary, but maybe you should be able to pick it up from range like cypher cam and tripwire.

I use the judge with viper . One shot kill mostly
