Too Close to Touch’s two albums are truly some of the most emotional music I’ve heard in my life. Keaton had such a powerful voice and I really think if he were here today that the band would’ve blown up with Bad Omens. Gone too soon and will forever be missed 🖤
Yeah.. apparently they were going to go back to a heavier sound on their next album (before he unfortunately passed away) too. One of the reasons they changed their sound so much for the Hard To Love EPs was that Keaton damaged his vocal cords and was trying to give them time to heal and did some experitimation during.
I absolutely love how Keaton left his vocals pretty much raw, you can hear the breathing in his songs and that alone amplifies the emotion he sang with I love that he didn’t mix it out, in fact in some songs the breaths are even amplified especially when the music drops out during his screams
To me, after reading about the meaning behind their song "Eiley", I fucking breaking down almost every time I hear it before he passed. I usually just listen to songs and resonate with this vocals and the instruments. But, reading that this song is about Keaton's younger sister dying and in the lyrics asking God why it couldn't be him... His untimely death makes it so much harder for me, man.
@@WWIIonRS well the one positive we can take from all of this is that at the very least Keaton is now at peace with his little sister and no longer feeling that pain.
This song… fuck. Noah’s verse killed me. Knowing how close the two of them were it feels like a message from Keaton to Noah 🥺 Too close to touch have some of the most emotionally driven band I know of, they are releasing an album on Friday, it’s going to be the final album they release with Keatons vocals and some songs (such as this) they reached out to friends of Keaton to help finish the songs in his place. Birb my friend, please please please listen to the song eiley by too close to touch I won’t say too much but the song is named after his sister who passed away at 3 years of age. Also have some tissues you will likely cry. I also said the same thing about the mixing of the chorus I do feel the vocals could have been boosted just a little but other than that the song is honestly a masterpiece. Anyway enough of my bean rant haha! Much love, 🫘
I rarely see someone mention Eiley, that song hit me the hardest out of that entire album. Which is saying something with how many insanely emotional and impactful songs there are. Love seeing others give praise to songs other than Sympathy.
Keaton was absolutely magical and it's such a shame that we lost such a beautiful soul so soon. It's heartbreaking knowing the album that came out today is the last time we will ever get to hear Keaton's voice😭😭😭😭
@@Supremebean28 it's absolutely perfect from start to finish. I was literally sobbing from the first song all the way to the end. That album legit shattered my heart today.
@@illthedabgod the song heavy hearts 🥺 Firstly I’m a huge sucker for acoustic but fucking hell. I did a bit of digging around it turns out in 2016 on Valentine’s Day it was available for free download. He wrote a bit about the song and how it is “extremely personal” to him and “it tells a story I’m not too fond of reliving, and there really was no happy ending.” Just hearing that alone about the song breaks my fucking heart considering how young he sounds as well it just… fuck 🥺
You should listen to Eiley by too close to touch. It's about Keatons 3 year old sister that passed away, and now he's passed too it hits even harder on the emotions
honestly the chorus of the song saved it for me, especially as ive gone back and listened again. Didn't like it much the first listen, but its grown on me so much, defo going in the gym playlist
Keaton (vocalist for too close to touch) passed away in 2022. The band has created this new album with snipits of vocal recordings from when he was alive with several features from friends to finish the unrecorded parts for keaton. Noah from bad omens and keaton were best friends. So this was a post humous release in tribute and memoriam to keaton.

God Noah's scream at the end of his vocals made me cry honestly. The emotions broke my heart.
TCTT had a huge influence on Noah... according to interviews. They essentially finished this track on behalf of the band/Keaton.

most emotional track of the year
Literally, this is better than The Void by Spiritbox, although that song is very similar and is a high standard. So good.

Was waiting for your reaction to this. This track caught me off guard and man I’m happy it did.
