Dearest Bishop Barron, I'd like to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for all you do for us. I've learnt so much from you. You have comforted me when I was so alone. You have shown me the way when there was no one I could ask. THANK YOU 🙏
In the reformed churches where I worship in Scotland the Early Fathers are never quoted, indeed many Protestants will not go to them because the Fathers sound too Catholic. Jesus as the marriage between heaven & earth bestows a profound meaning on the wedding feast at Cana. A typological hermeneutic as you say. Bishop Barron helps us see it.
:Playing a musical instrument is a perfect example of how discipline gives us freedom to perform whatever we wish... at first with great difficulty, and then more and more easily.
I didn’t realize the vastness of Bishop Barron’s spiritual and theological insights. They ground the believer. I hope he keeps making more. However, I wouldn’t mind if he showcased Bishop Fulton Sheen. God bless and have a nice day .
We are in Christ because we are part of his body. And the wedding bond makes of the spouses one flesh. Which is why this bond cannot be broken : it is an amputation, not a breach of contract. This is not a forgotten teaching. It is scripture. It is taught by the liturgy of wedding. It is the meaning and effect of the sacrament. It is not forgotten teaching. But people frequently think that it is only a metaphor, they don't think it is real. Just as many people think being dead and made a new creature in baptism is only a figure of speach, and don't take it seriously. Or as many think that "this is my body" is a figure of speach.
I was 37 when I married a truly wonderful man. I thought it is that I was so happy as we recited our vows. Started laughing during our ceremony. My husband didn't remember me laughing, nor did any of our guests. I believe I was tethered to Christ.
The Narrator: "When Jesus comes back, it will be like a wedding feast." He adds: "Everything in perfect harmony". The wedding's music will be screams, wailing and gnashing of teeth of the condemned... Nice! What a Harmony! And adds: "We can be *inside* of Christ. In true bonded Marriage. I want to be chained to Him." Inside for Bonded Marriage (!), not good enough? Try the Chaining!
Galatians 3:1 KJV O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth before whose eyes JESUS CHRIST has been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, did you receive the SPIRIT by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the SPIRIT, are you now made perfect by the flesh (works)? 5 HE therefore that ministers to you the SPIRIT, and works miracles among you, does HE do it by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith?
What a Blessing Bishop Barron is for us. Pointing the way to The Lord. 🙏🧎🏽♀️

The Wedding Feast is the Mass. We become one flesh with Jesus through the Eucharist. That is how we can say we are His Bride, and also His Body.
tethered to Christ
What would you do without Bishop Barron and his Catholic teaching? Why don't you just surrender to it?
