As a young kid my father involved us in “Indian Guides”. I have not heard that name mentioned since I was in 2nd-3rd grade school. I loved the idea of being, in some ways, like native Americans. I had no concept of what native Americans had been subjected to, attempts to erase their culture, not to mention stealing their land. I could ramble for pages, instead, I will keep checking in on the Ojibweh word of the day, read books like “Braiding Sweetgrass”, and honor myself and others. Meegwesh
