I am so happy that B.I didn't give up his dream. Look at him now. He managed to have his song Remember Me viral in South Korea and now BTBT doing extremely well in international charts - all with no tv and radio promotions. I am so proud of him

B.i did not got his alias on SMTM. He already got his alias back when he was featured in MC Mong's Indian Boy in 2009. And the drug issue is 2016(purchased) not 2019(it just surfaced). 2019 is when he went hiatus because of the 2016 drug issue up until 2021., sorry i'm not really good in explaining
I felt like this is a pretty shallow video in regards to a lot of the facts that really break my heart. Breezing over the predebut/survival show era really ignores the amount of suffering ikon and particularly Hanbin went through. Just for some context: Hanbin started training when he was 13/14ish and was the leader of team B when he was 16 years old there were 3 members older than him and in korean culture age plays a huge part in group politics, because if you are older you are supposed to have more responsibility and are to be given more respect. To lead a group of people who are older than you is hard and while not super uncommon isn't generally the norm. It was largely because Hanbin was the heart and soul and creative center of ikon from predebut days until the day he left and he took that responsibility from an INCREDIBLY young age all while his family was undergoing incredible hardship which when you view it from that lens, makes complete sense to me why he would have been lost at the time.
Also to say IKon's careers went on without a hitch. I OFTEN say that predebut ikonics are stronger than the marines. YG pretty much threw ikon away to japan to promote losing TONS of momentum for them after SMTM and they had to rebuild their reputation and brand recognition from scratch. Hanbin is the one who turned it all around by writing Love Scenario became 2018s song of the year and finally ikon was recieving attention from the general public. then in *2019* the scandal happened.
When B.I. came back I cried. I'm so thankful he can overcome and find success.
Correction pls. The scandal only exposed on 2019 because Han soo hee wanted to take revenge on YG ,she exposed B.I scandal ! His mistake NOT 2019 ! At that time his only 19 yrs old NOT 20 yrs old. His 2016 scandal is due to too much pressure on him by the company .being the leader of his former group he did his best writing /composing ,songs without complaining but the responsibility is too much that why he went to hard to himself .reason why he did a mistake back then in 2016. He only smoke marijuana & bought a Lsd but didn’t try coz he got scared at that time that’s why From 2017 onwards Hanbin been cleaned from any drug substance.he never did again .he even initiate their medical check up shown on their iKON TV 2018 ! even during 2019 when the scandal spread all over the news his drug test result is negative until this day .
stress and pressure is dangerous, and a lot of companies, not only in Korea have to be careful...look at how many young Hollywood have grown up to be drug addict, or American artists...it is crazy, a person can only take so much. shoutout to B.I for owning his, and coming out the other side of all that.
He's a strong man & I'm forever grateful he never gave up on his life & music ever.. 12 June 2019 is like the darkest time for his fans but looking at it now, we know everything happens for a reason.. Thanks to those who always behind him & support him during his hardest time, his family, his colleagues, & fans (IDs).. Those 2 years hiatus is a tough time for him but he made it through (very inspiring) & now after his case is closed look how bright he's flourishing & even more projects incoming & tours in planned too.. Wherever gems go they will always shine..
your support system is everything, B.I must have one great support system, because most wouldn't make it out and would have quit, he kept on pushing through the darkest and came out into the light, now my guy is bright!
@@MOREMUSALOVEL1FE When the scandal broke out, iKON is at their peak career.. the group he carry to what they were until the top since the very beginning, ofc it will affect him & the group too.. In a span of 4 hours when the scandal broke, he announced he will leave as to avoid the drag for the group.. He had too & yg didn't even do anything for him.. He did once thought to end his life & blame himself so much for everything that happened just like the lyrics in his songs in waterfall album but he survived.. In an interview he said he saw fans project for post it stickers with all encouraging words all around the world & also the music equipment his fans gave him to encourage him to keep doing music & do what he love is what makes him decided to pursue & comeback. Now I'm glad he's moved on & happier doing what he love

He said in his hiphopplaya interview that, I may not remember accurately but something like, he realized there were people waiting for him, so he made songs and decided to release them even if only one person would listen. Of course a lot of people left but those who stayed organized fan projects for him during his 2years hiatus like letters of encouragement, events, and more. His Chinese fanbase gifted him lots of things including a recording set. The mic he's using now, I think is from his Korean and international fans. Idk when he started picking up the pen again whether before or after the fan gifts. He also has a strong support system with him. One of his colleagues in his new company, who has worked with him in his past company too, believed in him and gave him all the support. Lee Hi, Tablo, and some of his producer friends from his former company are still with him and making music with him.

For me the companies are the one who make the things worse by the way they deal with the problem, it doesn't help the artist at all it just make him in worse situation when they force him to apology in a way that makes him look like a criminal, and the worse thing when they kick him out, also when they show that they are afraid of the fans reactions and actions, that what makes these people think like they own the artist and he and the company should do just what they want them to do, like bro famous or not you still a human being and you can make mistakes you only need to fix your self and be better even God doesn't hate us like people do, come on.
They really need to change this, they should help the artist not leaving him all alone because they are also part of all that and they take a part of the responsibility, this means that they only care about the money and what they can get from the artist.

The hate he got didn’t start from “his father’s scandal”, he has been getting hate since his first survival show WIN thanks to YG’s stupid media play , and the hate followed him since then .
He lost his first survival show WIN, but guess what , he made a song out of his depression after the loss, and the WINNER team made their debut with that song, It was a big HIT back then, but he got hate from that as well. The name of the song is (Empty) by the way.
He didn’t do well in SMTM , but his first single BE I made history becoming the first SMTM song to to top Melon (their biggest music chart), he was roasted by Knetz when he didn’t do well in that show, but he slapped back real hard with BE I .
All of this was even before he made his debut , he was the leader, songwriter, producer, choreographer of Team B , and he was also 17 years old back then, and he has been carrying this responsibility on his shoulder until he left this group, actually, even when he left the group, and got blurred, edited out from his own songs, the songs he made from scratch, the first comeback of this group, a mini album, was all his production except for one song, he never has a solo album in YG, despite being the producer of his group since even before their debut , they didn’t even credit him well for his songwriting of BLACK PINK’s Whistle back then.
Before leaving the group due to the scandal, he was awarded Song Writer of the Year (2018) , the first idol to win this award by the way, for Love Scenario, a mega hit song of the year back then.
One more thing, the scandal broke out in 2019 , the actual problem go back to 2016 , and he never tested positive for drugs, not even once, he admitted to smoking marijuana, and that’s it, they destroyed a selfless hardworking talented youth for smoking marijuana once when he was at his darkest times.....,
his whole career is downs and UPs , but he has this perseverance and determination in his marrow, he also got to talent to make it work, as his fan, I hope he stays happy and healthy more than anything else
