Insane how a simple melody can evoke so many emotions. The times i sat there in front of my tv turning on my playstation and it was just this game and me in my tiny little world. I miss this so much. Nostalgie is so powerful.
I remember when I was little, my brother left the Playstation on as this beautiful song plays making me and two younger sisters fall asleep peacefully. This song brings me back memories from my childhood for it was thanks to my older brother that got me into the Final Fantasy Series and it was all thanks to Final Fantasy VII, how it started it all for me.
I’d known about FFVII since it released in 1997 but I was too little to play, and my family didn’t own a PlayStation anyway. I was often sad that I missed out on what I heard was one of the best games ever. Finally in my early thirties I’ve caught up and played this masterpiece of a game very recently. I cannot understate how emotional this theme made me every time the game started up. It was as if, every time, it was 1997 again, and I got the chance to relive the wonder and awe you often feel when you’re a child, unaware of how quickly and drastically life will change if you’re lucky enough to get older. And unaware of how the changes will emotionally hit you when you get to reflect on it all when a piece like this comes along. There is clearly so much heart that was put into this experience (simply calling it a game or story just won’t do) and this song demonstrates that to you from the start. For that and so much more I am so grateful. The fact I still feel that as a first time player in 2024 is nothing short of incredible. It means so much to me, and I can only imagine what it means to those who have loved FFVII since its beginning. A sincere thank you to allllllll who made FFVII what it was, is and always will be. 💞
Such a magical piece to open such a magical experience. Final Fantasy VII still stands as my absolute favorite game of all time. I should probably get back to Rebirth sometime soon...
Funny story, the cloud hand massage cutscene is how I found out about FFVII. I thought it was pretty funny and saw another video about FFVII, so one thing led to another and I went through a huge 3am rabbit hole. Bought the game and played it over the summer, starting Rebirth now. This game changed my life forever and I don’t know what would have happened if I didn’t see cloud freak out over Madam M. Thank you so much square enix!

Best Final Fantasy for me is FF VI .The best FF Series ever. Total of 14 characters with lots of secrets and amazing story and gameplay. Terra's Theme, Awakening, Locke's Theme, Edgar and Sabin, Cyan's Theme, Gau's Theme, Celes, Theme, Setzer's Theme, Relms Theme, Protect The Esper, Aria Di Mezzo Carraterre, Searching For Friends, Dancing Mad (17 mins) and Balance Is Restored (21 mins) are all amazing music tracks by the legendary Nobuo Uematsu.

Yes...takes me all the way back to 1990..ff1..the music in the boat if you put in the code to solve the puzzle..still gets me to this day

My absolute most favourite of the series, and of all of Square's titles. Played it for the first time in 2018 on my PS1 and loved it ever since.
