- It's safe to say that Aurum Theatre's Gethá Lux Suite has just ruined me for all other cinemas in Kuala Lumpur! There was suite-side service throughout the entire movie that included bottles of wine, cocktails, decadent dishes, sweet treats ... as well as movie-musts like my fave, popcorn! My lovely friend Monica Tindall from @TheYumList was my partner in crime for an evening of Top Gun, culinary delights, and delicious lemongrass gin & tonics. There are a variety of experiences at this premium luxury cinema by GSC -- from Lazy Boy halls to what Monica and I experienced, the Getha Lux Suite.
Here's what was included with our Getha Lux Suite ticket, per person:
- Sweet or savoury snack
- Non-alcoholic beverage
- Blanket
- Two pillows
- Cosy slippers
- Fabulous bar and food service during the movie, accessed by a call button at each seat
- USB charging station
My only complaint:
If you'll be ordering wine during the movie like I did -- buy the bottle. My only regret from the evening is that I wish I had bought a bottle instead of the glass of Rioja, or simply ordered a gin & tonic, because the "by the glass" pour size is small, about 7 sips (see size on video). If the ml size had been listed, I probably would have opted for a bottle and just taken home what was left over as their bottle prices are super reasonable for imported wine.

Thanks for showing how the elite watch movies. I could never afford such luxury.
I haven't lived in the USA in 20'ish years and I react exactly the same way when I go back there :-) For almost 2 decades, a normal seat in a normal theatre is around RM90, not including snacks. Makes no sense to me...
@@AngelaCarson gone are the old vibe s of 1960s 1970s cinemas experience. I used to watch movies for less than rm 1. The 2nd floor was the most luxurious still less than rm 2. I think 1.50.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. D Gethá Lux Theatre looked amazing, what an awesome place to watch movie.
So nice of you! It was a fun evening out :-) Hope you are well and wonderful, Yasin!
@@AngelaCarson Thanks Angela, hope everything is good with u too. 😁

@@AngelaCarson Sounds lovely. Enjoy your weekend. 😁
Tks for recommendation and glad you enjoyed it...hope to visit there one day...
It was an eye opener to what a cinema experience could be, something quite special :-)
👍👍👍
Very fancy movie theater in KL. I actually enjoyed Top Gun!You sound like such an expat. LOL. It got me out of the house, it was full of action, fast paced and a great distraction to all the horrendous things happening in the US right now. It's been out awhile here so I got to see it at a theater on a Sat night for $6! It brought back memories as I used to work near Naval Air Base Miramar in San Diego where the original movie was filmed and based in the mid 80's.I met a lot of those very dashing and very handsome fighter pilots! Top Gun School is now in Nevada.
Yeah I lived in Tierasanta, am a private pilot (got my pilot's license out of Montgomery Field near Miramar where I also took helicopter lessons). I used to go on dog fights with pilot friends qualified in P-51 Mustangs, spent time at the bar overlooking Lindbergh, etc.... I wanted to like the film. But like all art, it is subjective. I just didn't ... nothing to do with where I live ;-) But happy you did
@@AngelaCarson wow.Never knew you were a pilot! So cool.
Will go there with my best friends
It's a super unique experience, would be FUN with a group :-)
Hi Angela how are you?
