    Nice video! 7 years I'd get rid of them no matter what they looked like for safety reasons

      That’s probably a good idea

    Thanks for sharing. These seem to be the tire for me. I was surprised to hear your recommendation on what you plan on getting next.

    I had a 2018 GT-R Premium that I sold last year and I had Nitto's on it. They hooked up well and hugged the road strong on the corners.

      @@gearrunner The only reason I sold it is because I was offered 21K more than what I paid for it so I figured I'd be dumb not to. I do miss it a lot. I still have my 370Z which is a blast to drive too.

    That’s awesome. My Ridge Grapplers only got 17k before losing half their tread life, but that’s an F-250 towing and rough roads. Nitto denied warranty, though, but luckily dtc took care of me. I only use Coopers now

    I've had great luck with nitro too. My wife had around 50k on her terra grapplers on her 4 runner when we replaced them, still quite a bit of life left in them but a flat ruined one of the tires. We went with the same size tire but changed to the ridge grappler and she loves them especially the look. I have ridge grapplers on my tundra and like them enough that I'm planning on putting them on my Tacoma when it's time. Only downside is they are a little more noisy than the terra grappler. Keep up the great video buddy!!!

      Thank you, I love the Ridgegrapplers. I had them on my Jeep a couple years ago. If they would fit under my truck without rubbing that is what I would go with. I just don’t want to drop down to a 33” tire after owning 35’s

    Yes Andy, first of all, you’re truck still looks great, nothing against the new ones but you know!! I think your trucks a keeper for as many miles you Per year! I still have the original ones on the rebel I think I have 42,000 and they still look good, i’ll have to check for cracks, yeah I think you’re ready for a new set unfortunately they’re so darn expensive, semi tires have almost doubled in price, I won’t say anymore!! I think you know what I mean😂!!

    • @gearrunner
      @gearrunner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, tires have gone through the roof. I can’t image what a semi tire costs now. I do hate buying tires though. It really doesn’t do much for the look once you’ve already upgrade the wheels and stuff

    Six to ten years max time to keep tires regardless of tread remaining is what manufacturer recommend. If they're checking it's time, you run the risk of blow out and tire falling apart at high speed or under load. I've got Falken AT3, very quiet and smooth running so far, don't know how they'll be with 40 plus thousand miles.

      I’ve heard good things about the AT3 tires.

    I’ve had 2 sets of Michelins go over 100k and a set of Bridgestones go 94k.

    Toyo wild country a good tire

    • @gearrunner
      @gearrunner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have to be careful what tire I buy or it won’t fit under the truck without rubbing

    If you want quiet tires drive a car😊

    • @gearrunner
      @gearrunner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea, because in 2023 tire companies don’t have the technology to make quiet truck tires! I don’t believe that.
