What about architect engineers like Calatrava or Frank Lloyd Wright or Felix Candela?
What about the fact that architects study 6 years, whilst structural engineers 4 years?
What about the fact that the architectural course still has a significant engineering component, whilst the engineering course is almost empty of other disciplines?
What about the fact that many architectural courses come with legal rights as an engineer to engineer any building up to four stories high? And the allowance to become a fully qualified engineer with one year extra study, whilst if the engineer wishes to become an architect he is placed in first year. ( not to mention the fact that the engineers drawings are children's drawings regardless of the maths behind them )
What about the multi disciplinary knowledge of the architect, who is well positioned to take into consideration all the concerns of other specialists and bring the building together.
What about the percentage of architects who own their own practice or get a profit share in the business verses the percentage of engineers.
I know an architect who in his third year of work, out of university had a combined salary and profit share which was about four to five times that of a full engineering salary, and as I suggested, for architects getting a profit share or starting your own business is not exceptional.

Architect Engineers have a deep interest in developing forms which stem from engineering. This allows you to increase your spans and cantilevers, reduce the thickness of the structural components and produce altogether very aesthetic buildings.
If you look at the buildings of those I mentioned, you will see the type of architecture which results from these principles.
Until very recently there was no division in disciplines. The architect & engineer was one person. Other disciplines like quantity surveying and building science, also stem from architecture.
Due to the fields growing in scope it became more impractical to handle all simultaneously.
Today Architects are the only ones who maintain all disciplines, because the 'Mastery' of bringing the disciplines together harmoniously is extremely important in producing a building which functions well and is pleasing to look at.
With computers available to reduce the workload, the architect is well positioned to become something closer to the historic architect who fulfilled all roles in one person, which has some benefit in achieving harmony of thought, design and final product.

structural/civil, and architectural. And then some may just teach one discipline. So just do some research, and if you can’t find any schools super close to you, you can always look into online courses, which won’t be as good but it’s still worth a shot. I use Autodesk Revit and SDS2 primarily, but Autocad is a must-learn, that’s a great way to get started. So just start looking into it and good luck! You seem to forget that architecture is is not all about aesthetic. The architect’s job is to be the master builder. They plan the overall design, layout and structure of the building. They combine the works of various engineering fields to their own works to make a “strong, functional and beautiful” building
Edit: I know that this is just a very simplified video to tackle the main difference between an architect and an engineer, I added this comment for the viewers to understand that architecture is not just all about aesthetic

    • @aldiooril7018

Yes architects do plan the initial structure a building for a structural engineer to work around, they also plan the lightings, electrical fixtures and appliances for the electrical engineers to work around, they design the the placement of lavatories, showers, sinks for the master plumber to work around.
Architects also consider the ventilation, sun exposure, noise, view, safety, ease of access, ergonomics, anthropology and other things when crafting their plan. People only think that architects only care about the “aesthetics” until they actually studied architecture.

People really dont understand the difference, many think Arquitect design will look like those, but no, those are from famous Arquitects that belong to certain tendencys like decostructivismo, postmodernismo, etc (sorry i dont now how to say it in english) an normal Arquitect will not make crazy design like those but first make sure that it has the right orientation, great ventilation, natural lightinig, the correct proportion, the right location of every space, etc they dont make design becouse oh boy this looks nice, but want to make you feel good in a place that you will live or work for the rest of your life, if you think oh a ingenier do it cheap and better your are not understanding theyr jobs, sure an Ingenier can build you a house but it will be posible a copy paste design of your neiberhood, and belive me the diference in a house make by someone who specialize in human confort than someone who is an expert in Numbers is abismal, and im sure you dont want to live in a city like "Equilibrium" we are humans not robots, so your just exagerating their vision in this video Bro.

Worst video i ever saw. 🤮🤮🤮. Sure it's made by some frustrated civil engineer.
Architects are creators. They design and develop new ideas into reality.
Engineers helps in structural analysis and technical aspect of building construction. Both works together to develop buildings into reality.
And that salary range is also wrong.
