Mistakes? What mistakes? That's just modeling. Man what a beautiful action packed diorama. You can feel the urgency of the drivers escape not wanting to go in to that freezing water! "Frozen in time"
honestly, the mess up with the bubbles inside the resin kinda suits this diorama. You'd expect a rig that just crashed through ice would cause some bubbles.
I really love your amazing work, this made a nice change from the military and zombie apocalypse themed stuff you normally do, thank goodness you were able to save this project after the disaster you had with the resin, well done!! I also really love your choice of music you use in your videos, it makes them very relaxing to watch.
Used to watch Ice Road Trucker, sometimes the trucks came close to breaking the ice but never saw one that actually did, maybe highly edited for tv. Your depiction shows the horror associated with those roads. Thank you.
Just an astonishing build. So much desperation in the middle of that after putting so much work into the truck, trailer, dozer and weathering just to get to the start. Having worked with epoxies I was more worried about the potential for a large exotherm with such a large mass of epoxy going off. Just an amazing finished result and such a great recovery!

Your new diorama reminded me when I was living in canada 10 years ago. I had to drive through an icy road once and I could hear the ice cracking as the waves below were flowing by the pass of the car. Good memories.

And the amazing thing is that in the actual tv show 'Ice Road Truckers', they actually used models like these (slighly larger scale) to fake these very scenes, and nobody ever guessed they were faking it, which is a testament to what you can achieve with models (when nobody expects you're using them).
Honestly i think the bubble columns and slight fractures work to your favor here. Because there absolutely would be bubbles squeezed out of the lakebed from something plunging through the ice with such force.

It reminded me of the scene from "The Polar Express" when they were traveling on the lake and the train was almost under water, but at the last moment it got on the rails and drove away
Great work. One observation is that the driver, when jumping out of the door, would not likely be tipped over to one side when jumping. Despite the tipping truck and doorway, he would do everything possible to be more upright before jumping or his whole trajectory would be off. His body posture was natural in relation to the truck, but not in relation to gravity.
Disaster averted. Nice job on the repairs and awesome diaroma. I just could not put that much detail and weathering into a model and then bury it in resin but that's me. Awesome job as always.

Es sieht unfassbar realistisch aus. Der Truck könnte wie ich schonmal schrieb von Tony Beets entsprungen sein. Im Frühjahr wird da ja auch noch über das Eis gefahren um Ausrüstung hin oder weg zu schaffen. Einfach nur genial. Ein Meisterwerk das seinesgleichen sucht

Honestly i think the bubble columns and slight fractures work to your favor here. Because there absolutely would be bubbles squeezed out of the lakebed from something plunging through the ice with such force.

It reminded me of the scene from "The Polar Express" when they were traveling on the lake and the train was almost under water, but at the last moment it got on the rails and drove away

Great work. One observation is that the driver, when jumping out of the door, would not likely be tipped over to one side when jumping. Despite the tipping truck and doorway, he would do everything possible to be more upright before jumping or his whole trajectory would be off. His body posture was natural in relation to the truck, but not in relation to gravity.
I always watch this video's and admire the dedication to detail, nothing ever feel off, it all looks right.

Disaster averted. Nice job on the repairs and awesome diaroma. I just could not put that much detail and weathering into a model and then bury it in resin but that's me. Awesome job as always.

Es sieht unfassbar realistisch aus. Der Truck könnte wie ich schonmal schrieb von Tony Beets entsprungen sein. Im Frühjahr wird da ja auch noch über das Eis gefahren um Ausrüstung hin oder weg zu schaffen. Einfach nur genial. Ein Meisterwerk das seinesgleichen sucht

Another epic build! That trucker looks like he's gonna come a right cropper though jumping out like that onto slippy ice! Guess you would jump though if your truck was on it's way down!!! Thanks for the awesome work!

La route des glaces, je ne m'attendais pas à ce diorama, vous vous êtes lancé un gros défi, c'est compliqué de reproduire les effets de la glace qui cède sous un poids mais c'est réussi, le résultat est bluffant. L'idée est originale pour cet attelage et met en valeur le travail de vieillissement fait sur lui, un grand bravo. 👌👍
