There's something very satisfying about prepping for the storm, "batten down the hatches". Easy for me to say from the comfort of my couch and having never sailed. Maybe one day. I'm sure the feeling you all had was nervousness. I hate wind. Ugh!
Hahah yeah it’s good practise I guess too, and a good Time go check on things and get the boat in good shape for sure! So do I! Love it if it’s nice wind of course for sailing but hate strong wind 🌬️

@@LeadingtheEscapade I did some fibreglass repair work just wearing a T shirt, dust mask and goggles. I completely got covered in dust and I made the mistake of wiping the sweat off my forehead. When I finished I went over to the garden hose and stripped off and hosed myself down all over before going in the house for a shower. My forehead was itching for a week but nothing else.

Outboard problem looks like the low idle jet in the carburetor is clogged or in the wrong position. Running very rich.

Do you have a Baja filter for your fuel? I've pulled apart carbs that were cleaner than that one after 20 years use.
I have no idea, it was very basic. that's interesting to know though :O
If you get fibreglass dust on you don't ever wipe it off or you'll be itching for a week! Rinse it off only without rubbing
yeah we didn't wipe and we were still itching for weeks! hahah was not a fun time. that shit spead everywhere
