I’d caution against using that carpet cleaner on a rug over hardwood- the moisture can ruin your wood. You can send the rugs out to be cleaned and dried, or just do it outside.
Just move the rug right after you shampoo so the floor under can dry out. Maybe dry the rug outside. Just dont leave a wet rug sitting on hardwood floors.

Have you considered not wearing shoes in your home? It'll cut down significantly on dirt & grime... and will also protect all of you from harmful bacteria and viruses, especially Scarlett, that is tracked in via shoes! (Think of all the places you go... hospital floors, gas stations, bathrooms etc. and all of the germs found on those surfaces are also found on your floors and rugs when you wear shoes indoors).

U can try to find one of those thinner outdoor furniture cushions that are flat and rectangular to see if that'll fit in that area. Places like Ross, Marshalls or HomeGoods tend to have them😊
have you ever considered buying a step basket to hold the things that you put by your stairs I noticed you have a lot of junk by your stairs. I bought one and it works really nicely. I highly recommend them. You can buy them off of amazon.

I’m so confused how you’re able to clean with kids in your house. When I try to vacuum or mop or do anything they’re constantly pulling on me and screaming to be held. It’s almost like your kids are nonexistent while you clean LOL
Kids learn to adapt. I sit my kids down on the couch or dining table doing something while I sweep and mop. Even my almost two year at this point know not to go on the floor till it's all dry.

She only wears those inside. Very common in Asia to wear slippers or sliders inside only

Its really common to have indoor shoes for just around the house it might not be common in the states but people still do it
