Triple Valks in faction wars and multiple Mortu-Macabs in Doom Tower are the most frustrating experiences in the game
Gnishnak or whatever that rat guy, that dude darn near seems like back in the day on Final Fantasy when you went up against the stupid Malboro, and the stupid thing immediately did "bad breath" thats how I feel about that rat, its just like before you can blink your whole team has like 6 bombs each, and it's as if he can simply detonate them at will, it sucks.
He gives me ptsd

Thank you for all of your helpful vidoes. I've been playing about a year with a lot of help from you. A team I recently put together seems to hold up pretty well against every champ you have mentioned. Starsage Galathir really improved my roster. I have him as fast as possible to lock out the opposing team. I use Marichka the Unbreakable next for the shield buff and chance for block damage, then Fyna, Blade of Aravia to throw down 15 buffs. Then, I use Taras the Fierce to nuke. Even if stone skin doesn't get removed, Fyna resets Starsage's skills for another chance.
A gliseah lead and hoskarul works wonders against armanz. Gliseah will place unblockable freeze on armanz if you keep her in lead and he usually sheep's lead. Hoskarul is immune to stun and has increase resist with a cleanse. Try it.
Plarium made arena extenders in Sun WuKong and UDK. They are annoying to face, also because they are so rampant because they've been more accessible.
Armanz is easily the most broken champ in RAID to me. If Plarium's goal was to induce people to rage quit...well done.

Very, very annoying. If I hadn’t already spent years playing this game, I might have just quit the game all together.
As a regular Siegfrund user, I have to say he's not nearly as hard to kill as people expect. I'm just gonna list a bunch of different ways you can kill Siegfrund.
1: Stun or freeze him until his block damage is gone.
2: Block buffs and skills, but kill him before his allies.
3: Use Ronda. She'll turn off his passive, then nuke him and he's done for immediately.
4: Use block revive or being Lydia, kill Siegfrund's team, and he'll be relatively easy to deal with alone because he'll be in support form without the ability to revive his team. He's always built to nuke, so he won't usually be too tough.
5: Bring another Siegfrund. Hit the enemy one to activate his passive, he'll do the same, and unless you're in live arena with a careful player it tends to work.
6: Block damage buffs. Siegfrund has no counter to these, so they're a good tool against his massive damage. There are also quite a few champions who can ignore his own block damage buff, so once his initial deny death and heal is triggered, using one of them can work. I've often beaten him with Rotos since only his A1 can kill that in most cases.
7: Mithrala can kill Siegfrund sometimes. If you manage to petrify him then kill his team while it's active, he transforms and gets a turn but he can't act because he's petrified, and he also gets no block damage buff.
8: Consider exactly how his passive works. He denies death directly, heals, places block damage, and gets turn meter. Sometimes you can find combinations of effects spread through your team to deal with him in live as opposed to classic where you just know what you'll need and you use it.
9: Bombs, burns and poisons. All of these effects bypass Siegfrund's block death mechanic, and using some combination of them is able to completely ruin him.
I use him a lot because he's usually still my best option, but as you can see I've encountered quite a few effective counters to my Siegfrund. He looks incredibly powerful on paper but once you understand him he's not even a threat to many teams. When it comes down to it Siegfrund has only two things you need to worry about much: He hits hard but defensive buffs heavily mitigate that, and he revives his team but we have several methods of disabling revival itself or just crippling him until he's vulnerable.
How come every time I put block buffs on seigfrund it gets cleansed on his turn? The mastery that isn't that reliable does he have a passive or something because I'm telling you it's 100%.
@@jasonsaulters6027 If he counterattacks or happens to use his default naturally, the first hit of it (unless weak) transfers all his debuffs to the target. If people use the mastery for it and/or cleansing accessories that just adds to how well he can purge himself of debuffs. He doesn't seem capable of doing so with brimstone though.
@UnswimmingFishYT ok that makes sense. I use a lockout champ so that's why he always a1s and removes the buff. When he was first buffed I was putting hp burn on him with geo and he would just torch himself.
@@jasonsaulters6027 You're better off with stun or freeze if you want to keep Siegfrund from hitting you. You can trigger has passive while he's immobile and make him lose a turn of block damage benefit. Yakarl is a very good counter you probably have.

Honourable mention to Ultimate Deathknight, who for a long time was the champ that annoyed me the most.
There are a few:
1) The trio everyone got: UDK, Wukong and Armanz, because they are everywhere.
2) Harima, because I just have no good answer to it.
3) Lockout champs: Warlord, Yumeko, Krixia.
Mythicals are usually not a problem. I only dodge Galathir and Krixia.
Number 1 for sure. I just played 5 live arena battles and every team had that trio. It's so frustrating.
galathir need to be nerfed, hehas everything, like 5 in 1 champ

What makes me want to rage quite as a F2P and only a year in, are these three champions: Siegfrund, Armanz, Sun Wukong, and Taras. These champs when geared right, can single-handedly kill all four of my best champions in an arena match. I usually just avoid players that are running them.

The best way to deal with siegfrund is wight king narses if you have him
ahhh you are lucky you haven't run into Stratagos in gold 3 live arena, Auto ban over Armanz.
all of those champs are way easier to deal with.
I pair my Shu-Zhen with Ugir the Wyrmeater whenever I face a Wukong and oh boy he completely wrecks the enemy team with relentless aoe attacks, Shu-zhen granting him extra turns to reset that 1 turn cooldown on Ugir's passive when needed.
I've got Siegfrund. Pulled him pre buff. You can understand why they made the morph the way they did. Using this guy everywhere.
The one that I hate going against is Pythion. Honorable mention goes to Ukko.
Gnishak Verminlord, that dude is straight up my bane in arenas, pure evil.

As someone with Siegfrund, I'm constantly getting locked out by any combination of Block Buffs and a cc. Sure he still heals and transforms, but can't revive team if he's stunned, petrified, etc.
I just can't do anything against Armanz. My only option is Toragi in regen and hope enemy doesn't have immortal.

11:21 mezomel is the champ I hate going against because if you are useing her, you have the gear to make her good so she actually is a threat. but god, every other aspect about her, soul bound bowyer, alika, the uncommon bow champ with an a1 aoe... i would rather use any of them over her. I love the way she looks, but I pulled her and siegfrund pre buff, god could I not have pulled worse mythicals at that time.
12:01 god, base and transformed, If I have a choice, I would rather use magnar over her, she needs to actually do damage. and she just can't do damage without gods gift to gear and ignoring any survivability and speed. if you got the gear, she is already great, but if you cant push higher, mine has 5400 attack and 229 crit damage, I would NEVER use her at all outside of restrictive content.
Commenting on each of the champs, but from the view point of never doing live arena. I only do classic and 3v3.
• Armanz I just avoid as much as possible in classic or 3v3. If he is in a 3v3 team, I just put my weakest team against it, hoping the other 2 teams I have win their matches.
• Siegfrund I haven't encountered much, but when I do, I try to focus him first.
• Shu-Zhen I don't see much in classic or 3v3.
• Mezomel I see sometimes, but not in teams I go against.
• Rotos all depends on who else is in the team. If with support, such as UDK, Pythion, etc. kind of champs with him, he can be hard to take down.
• Goffred I've been seeing in classic and 3v3, but haven't encountered any to be a problem.
Other than the obvious champs, such as Armanz, I can't think of single champs I avoid. Certain groups of champs though, such as Siphi, Pythion, UDK, and Duchess all together can just be really annoying. They tend to lack damage in favor of being tanky, so the battle just goes on forever.
I actually pulled Goffred as one of my first legendary champions on my F2P account.
So I have known how very underrated he is for a while. He was in my arena team, all dungeon teams. As well as doom tower waves for nearly 2 years.

what has made several players in our clan rage quit recently is facing more and more opponents in live or classic arena with 3 or 4 mythical champs... i know that feeling too; there is something psychologically demoralizing about having to go up against that solid wall of red-outlines, when our own scant prospects of finally acquiring our own mythical has resulted in about a dozen mostly rare pulls.
to keep more struggling rng-cursed players from quitting, i think the next free login champ should be an average-ish leggo that scales stronger when the opposing team has multiple mythical champs greater than the number of mythicals in the ally team. so if its 3 or 4 enemy mythicals versus 0 friendly mythicals, this champ becomes a goliath-slaying david. but if it's even 2v2 or 3v3 mythical counts, this champ is rather ordinary; possibly even a liability when there are more friendly mythicals than enemy mythicals. some tldr ideas follow...
the champ could also have a small vulnerability (+10% damage received) from epic champs which also scales up to +50%/+100%/+200% damage received from rare/uncommon/common champs. but damage received from mythical champs is REDUCED anywhere from -10% up to -40% depending on the how many more mythical champs are on the enemy team compared to the ally team. damage received from leggo champs is not modified up or down by any amount.
this new leggo champ's a2 could be a mediocre aoe attack, but with a whopping trunda style 2nd hit that only targets mythical champs on the enemy team (similar to how part of udk's a2 only targets enemy leggo champs)... this 2nd hit has a damage re-multiplier that similarly scales up by an amount that depends on how many more mythical champs are on the enemy team compared to the number on the ally team (but having more mythical allies than mythical enemies actually neuters the damage somewhat).
this a2 could have a 5 or 6 turn cooldown, giving surviving enemies ample time to take actions before this new leggo champ can use the a2 again. but beware- this new leggo champ also has a passive which has a 20% chance (booked up to 50%) to trigger this a2 attack automatically whenever an enemy mythical champ transforms into their alternate form.

I know is completly out of topic, but i pulled Mathias The Blackflail and... I'm really surprised on how he can be such a powerhouse. He heals the whole team, he taunts and can heal himself with his A1, and is an HP based champ, so it's easy to keep him alive, also hits kind of hard.

Thing i hate most about sigfreund is his ability ignores "ignore block damage" which is absolutely ridiculous. You should 100% be able to kill him with georgid but but somehow it ignores ignore block damage. They either need to reword that ability, or fix that. Because it should not be able to bypass georgids ignore block damage. Try it, as soon as you touch him with georgids 3rd skill he's at full health with block damage.
That doesn't happen when revive on death pops up.
Newish player here (started about a month ago), but I absolutely hate facing Wukong in the arena. I also didn't know about the promo code to get him when I first started so now I just straight up missed a beastly leggo. It's insult to injury when I'm scrolling through opponents and see they have him on their team too.
Same here, and I am now around 6 months or so in, he is totally unfair, he is normally trash his defense is super low, but if he has a good team backing him, his ability to steal buffs from your whole team and block buffs on your whole team is bogus, not to mention he can revive himself
They should extend those promo codes most ppl don't find out about them until it's too late

If you can't get any other codes by starting a new account, you can at least block buffs so he doesn't receive buffs. Be sure to have a cleanser after he takes them.
If you are really new just delete your account and start over and use the promo code
Hegemon got personally nerfed when Stone Skin set came out.
He still ruins live arena teams tho. I usually put gnishaak first to get the opponent to stay away from stoneskin then they all get nuked unless they ban hegemon, just not as consistent as it used to be :/
Shuzen-Georgid-Yumenko combo is nasty. Shuzen gives turn to georgid, does A3 then A2 pushing back turn meter, then Yumeko locks out and resets then Shuzen gives instant turn to Georgid and does A3/A2.
Same with a Kymar as well

Brilliant! If this question had been asked an hour ago i would have said Uugo, I avoid teams with her because she kills me dead every time... BUT i pulled my two two sacreds this afternoon for the Champion case and got her and Ghostborn. I only turned on TH-cam to see if Ash has a video on how to build her for Arena!

@@jamesgish9202 I've only been playing 86 days and so my team isn't that solid yet, but every time shes on a team it ends with a standoff between Uugo & my 6*, almost fully built Vergis and they time out on the turn meter. The same happens with UDK so i avoid him too! I was grinding Minatour in the hope this solved the problem.

My Wu Kong strat involves Samson and life harvest. He’s usually pretty squishy so killing him once is easy then Samson gets an extra turn setting himself up and letting you control when monkey boy comes back then unloads his nuke and gets extra damage for killing him again. Any champ with extra turn mechanic can help control his revival but if they have CC or nuke to take him back out that’s key

it's kind of tricky to build an astralont team because don't like using some characters out of preference like arbiter...and i wanna work in my supped up ursala, but that gives me no speed boost or turn twist still and 2 spots haha. so sometimes i go wu kong turn twist and sometimes i go heavy res or def
I haven't done high level pvp in a number of months now, but after the last few years of arenas, I'm still traumatized by guys like Tormin, Mashalled, and Ukko and definitely Mithrala too. If I had an account that had all four of them they would be my arena defense team just because who the hell wants that kind of negativity in their arena battles? I don't!
I can't tell you how many times I've been in fights with Mashalled and the Ahole manages to not only outspeed me, but true fear me and nuke one of my guys into the ground. I know he's not that great, but GD dude he FKs me every single time! Ukko in a stun or relentless set annoys the hell out of me, stealing all my buffs stunning me (if he's geared for it), and just always doing something to disrupt my flow, then he brings the entire group back against me again, like... ugh, I hate him. Tormin's freezes are so damned annoying just like Mithrala's petrify. Anything that CCs me or screws with the flow of taking my turn? I hate it to death, and those four are some of the worst.
That said, oh how I wish I had those four on the same account so I could put them together and see what kind of havoc they inflict on the enemy team.

against Armanz I use Yumeko. because of the perfect veil he won't put stun on her at the start - she is protected, and he won't aim with sheep-skill at her. then she lockout all team and we start dancing :)
it doesn't work 100% of the time - but I think I can safely say it's 50/50

Armanz is one of the worst but at least its kinda fast, man im sick of those UDK + cleanser reviver block debuff taking for ever to beat. I'd like to see them champs out of the game or a fast arena battle

What is the better play for live arena? I always take Sun WuKong if I go first because everyone has him and some might not have fused Armanz (although at gold 5 that feels unlikely) and I figure I could get him with my second. 90% of the time I will split those prizes and we'll have both cancelled out. The only time I might let either stay is if a Warlord or other AOE cooldown champ comes up. But the question is, should I choose Armanz or Kong first?
and from hundreds of guides we thought you love almost all of them. I have an awesome team to my shock in live Arena I just defeated 2 consecutive teams which both had 3 Mythicals. My team Sun Wukong, Tagoar, Gizmak, + (Wight King Narsus, or Hegemon) both usually in live arena (occasionally use Helior against Armanz but Hegemon also good option for Armanz). But there are still plenty of ways for me to loose
I love using Mezomel to snipe Wukongs at the start. Her alt form ignores block damage and unkillable too which is helpful

Armanz wins by not allowing enemies to take a turn, but if they get to hit him, he falls easily.
Some demonspawn are annoying, but noting big overall.
The real pain? Armanz. I simply hate that man. His kit basically plays like he’s the main character of the story

Question on his passive… what if they try to kill whole team with an aoe? Do all champs get the block damage or lead first? How does it prioritize the passive?
Try Vitrius the Anointed against Sigfrund. His A3 is a double hitter and hits hard. The first hit will normally proc unkillable on Siegfrund and since the A3 ignores block damage the second hit normally ends siegrfrund. You essentially bypass his alternate form all together.

Right now, I usually have Galathir and Wukong on my Arena team, and except for Armanz, I can somehow find a way to deal. Either that or I'm wiped because I'm too slow for Gold 5 😅
That being said, Duchess often is a massive pain. Same goes for Hephraak.
A lot of the champs in the list are high resist champs. My strat for those teams is simple Arix in provoke and retaliation gear and artifacts. Arix doesnt have to be super fast but triggering counter after counter and watching champs like Duchess and Mithrala succumb to the provoke always brings a tear to my eye.
Everytime I don’t ban Armanz in live arena, he usually is the reason I lose.
To be fair Ash I understand these champs are annoying to deal with on times usually they can be countered if you're faster, However 6 star polymorph is an absolute nightmare!
Narses is a direct counter to Siegfrund. He will ignore the passive and kill him in one shot without him taking a turn or getting block dmg buff up. Pretty sure i remember you going for the narses guaranteed, so you should be all good there.
I dealt with Armanz by putting 3 sets of Frosbite on 3 Champs, Bolster on the last one. Ofcourse High resist, in a Go 2nd team.
It's fine, works all the time on the Armanz enemy, as long as they don't have a cleanser.
I think a good strategy will be a go fist team with ronda for that block active/ pasive skills + one good debuf spread champ... works for Sun Wukong also.

I've been FTP for almost 2 years, and "hated" champs are definitely UDK, Rhonda, Sigfrund, and... crap, there's one more, but i can't remember her name off the top of my head..
But, i don't have many legendaries. I've only pulled 4 ever, all my others were freebies.
Tormin disrupted the game more than Armanz. There was only one arena team - speed. And Tormin disrupted it.
In a perfect world, I would have two torment, a damage torment, I resist, and a high accuracy torment in some sort of double stone skin, because tor freeze is the best way to combat Armanz for me, but mine is high resistant damage for another comp
You forgot about gharol bloodmaul going 5 times in a row with his passive without taking a single turrn
Armanz is just a instant HELL NO! UDK and Sun are manageable but only if I have too. Lost to Armanz too many times to learn my lesson. lol

UDK is nothing if i can put a weaken on him. Whisper will one shot him. :]
Stratagos he is basically UDK s dad.
Way harder to kill and if you lose your healer / reviver he is going to wipe everyone solo with his counter attack.
busted champion for making people quit matches. I'm in gold 3 and ban him over Armanz.
bring a block buffs champion for Seigfrund. if he cant be buffed with Block Damage, he just dies. also if you can bring a block revive champion like Inithwe, Fenax, or Foli and even if he does change form theres nobody to revive. alternatively you can stun him even if he has block damage. if hes stunned, the block damage just delays his death and he cant do anything anyways. the only thing i worry about when i face that mythical is him getting a turn to deal damage. i usually shut him down with either my Mikage or my Lazarius. Staltus is another good option for the stun strat in dealing with him

Before I got Armanz: Mortu-Macaab, now Marichka. Thing with Armanz is a mechanic in the game: you cannot counter ACC with RES, you need insane RES to counter 400ACC.

My answer to marichka is super high accuracy Ramantu with 1 speed more than my nuker. Block passive, nuker kills.
Agreed but to my man's defense he's been doing this for years I'm surprised he had not all together moved on to another game. With Ash I just listen to him and I always pick up some useful info even if the topic has nothing to do with my account now it might in the future. Knoll is power

I hate facing one man teams in any arena content. No matter how strong my team is. That one solo champ always out heals my dps champs

Fear,true fear,stun and sealing all those statuses that immobilize targets do not proc on bosses
i used to hate mortu maccab waves in doom tower... also udk+wuk on arena...
for me its Xena (the forge pass chic) I didnt know about her passive and she kept soloing my teams
I set her as my solo def in G5 arena. She isn't that well built, but is in my best merciless, up to 7 pieces now. She wins between 5-15 battles each day.

Mezomel is the only reason i'm winning any live arena fights. BTW, there is special place in hell for whoever put Armanz into the game.

every champion you showcased can be delt with by RHONDA , but you have to have high resist to deal with stun and sleep.
You mentioned her, Harima. I try to use Ronda to block that passive but the affinity is wrong. So hard to kill and she is just waiting around for a champ to be lower health and kill with the A2 and instantly activate A3. For some reason this combo just enrages me.

aw man... those hordes of sethalias and cleanser/healer/block debuffs combo champs. in pve at least they come in 2s and 3s its so anoying when you get caught in a cleanse lock that you dont have enough damage to get through and were relying on debuffs...
you actually can deal with armanz. With Jingwon. He is the absolute nightmare against armanz with his passive, if im reading it right. Dude is underrated bro. you HAVE to make a video on him if you have him
