You’re welcome! I didn’t think it was pretty good, especially for the price. Definitely check out my video about the MacBook Pro if you want to hear more how it sounds. Best of luck with it! 😁👍
I have ben searching all over and nobody has addressed or tested this.... does the dual mic work with the iPhone 13? I know dual mic does not work for the Deity D4 Duo when paired with a smart phone. I am hoping the D4 mini works differently since they specifically put smart phones on the box. This is not written on the D4 Duo's box anywhere.
Hi! I don't know if you can record 2 channels into an iPhone. I've never used this mic, or any mic, on a iPhone 13. I assume as long as there are right and left audio channels in an iPhone recording, it should work. If the iPhone records in mono, then it won't work. If I get a chance to try it out, I'll let you now if it works.
@@JasonYadlovski Thank you, please do test it if you are able to. I would be very grateful. I would love to pair this mic with a lav so I can do interviews and still talk on my iPhone 13.
It doesn’t have an individual adjustment, both mics are adjust on the camera itself. But since you’ve got 2 separate channels in the recording, you can adjust the levels individually in post.
hey do you know how to I get deleted vids on my devinci I deleted a whole vid not footage or clip and I saw your other videos and I cant find it in my folders and the recycle bin do you know how to help me in that? and its not hidden too soo what is the problem

Hi! I'm using D4 Mini for last few days and I have a big problem - I can't stand the shaking noise when I'm walking quickly. I saw you running without that clicking sound. How did you manage to do this?
Strange, I didn’t get any shaking noise. Maybe be put in the dead cat? Also make sure the mic is in the shot mount correctly? I’m using it in a 5DIV if that makes a difference. Just mounted in the hot shoe…..🤔
Thanks man! I appreciate you checking out the video and dropping a comment! I agree, for $50 it does a great job. I always keep that one or the Deity Duo on my camera. Best of luck with it!
Hi Jason - Thank-you for all of your help! Question: After patching my microphone (Focusrite 3rd Gen) and clicking on the "R" in fairlight, the meters don't move (light up) when i speak into the mic. The meters light up only when i start recording. Can you think of any reason why I cannot see the meters moving prior to recording?
Hi! Thanks for checking out the video! So it may be your input monitoring settings. Go under the Fairlight menu and look at input monitor style (I think that’s what it’s called off the top of my head). You should see different options on how to monitor it. You can try the auto setting but if it’s still not working, try some of the other settings in there.
Jason, U unpacked quite a lot in this video and did it quite WELL, I must say. I have been in the market for a new mic and this could be a contender. Thanks 4 your VERY WELL, detailed, informative and entertaining video. Cheers!
You’re welcome! Thank you for your kind words! Glad you found the video helpful. If you want to hear more of mic, definitely check out my MacBook Pro died video. 😜 best of luck finding a new mic!
Hi! Congrats on the new Mic, that’s not normal have you tried adjusting your camera audio settings? What kind of camera are you using the microphone on?
For $50, that's a great-sounding mic! Knowing how I test things, I would've gotten a tape measure and laid it along the ground so you can see how far away from the mic you really are :D Then again, I'm silly and do goofball stuff, and that's not your shtick, so your mileage may vary. :D Good video though, I dig it!
Thanks man! 😁👍. I didn’t realize how loud the stinking bus were outside that day, crazy man! But I didn’t want to use any noise reduction so people could hear the raw audio. Note for next time, go somewhere with no bugs. 😜 but I guess that’s just what it’s like in August in our neck of the woods. 😁👍
@@JasonYadlovski You know what? I didn't notice any bugs... but then again, I pretty much can't hear anything over 8 or 10kHz... so if they were high-pitched, that's why I didn't hear them. Haha, August man, good luck finding a place without bugs! The crickets are trying to move into my house. Had to bomb my glassed-in porch last night - the place where I work & do editing. Stinking thing was chirping up a storm.
Haha, yeah man those things get crazy here in Jersey in august. 😜. Glad you couldn’t hear them too much in the video. Guess I hear everything with my headphones on. 😂
@@JasonYadlovski Yeah, I bet if I didn't have a window unit air conditioner and exhaust fan going, I might've heard SOMETHING :p even with my poor hearing.
Finally! Someone has done the distance real time test. Invaluable for noobs who want to know what to expect from the sound shape, thanks
😁👍
A very good and dynamic review! Thumbs up 👍🏻

@@JasonYadlovski Thanks
Great video. You think this would work as an all around mic, to be used on a Mac for voiceover?
Thanks! Sure it can be used for that with no problems. Just try to make the environment as good as possible - for example limit echo, etc.
Great review. Will give a try in my next upgrade of my gear.
Nice! I think it’s a good little Mic. 😁👍
Great review, as the few I have seen from you, even if I am mainly subscribed because of your epic Resolve tutorials. Cheers!
Thanks so much! This is a great little mic, I use it all the time. 😁

If the connected Lav mic feed needs a level adjustment when plugged into the D4Mini, how is that feed level adjusted?

Hi! Were you creating backups from within Resolve? If you were, you can reload that, but if not, then you probably can't get it back....

No, you can't plug headphones it to the mic, you'd need to plug into the camera headphone jack.
