The best character in this drama was without a doubt the demon princess. She always stayed true to her values, love, friendship and to her own tribe. She was definitely the character with the highest EQ and that made her always be aware of her own circumstances and others circumstances. Plus she was strong in her own way.
Xu Feng's face when the Heart Stone reacts and he's like "Um, wow, okay? I mean, I guess we have some common goals..." and then Sui He and Liu Ying walk in the door and he *immediately* realizes who's actually under that veil. It's just... *chef's kiss*
At that time he thought it was tampered since Sui He planted a fake one. He knew it would show a positive reaction, but he didnt know that the stone was genuine.

And to think... If Xu Feng hadn't removed half his power in this scene, the later battle with heaven would have gone in an entirely different direction. The entire ending of the drama would have been different.

This is one of the best dramas ever made. I still cry everytime I watch this scene! I love it so much
10:13 when Jinmi (Yangzi) let out a big sigh of relief, i felt that so much. I love that part so much more than the actual reveals because I felt her pain and suffering truly being released from her. Yangzi did a great job with it.
I recently rewatch this drama again because it’s THAT GOOD and 3 years later, I still love it and still brought out so much emotion from me. This is the drama that sealed my LOVE for Yangzi as an actress.

When they finally realized that they’re the perfect match and not having to doubt anymore, when the truth got unveiled amidst all the meticulous lies, gosh even I’m just rewatching this now still makes my eyes shed tears. This is truly an awesome masterpiece that will always be top notch on my list. Deng Lun and Yang Zi served heavenly visuals from beginning to end.🙏😍🥰😘💜💞💗❤️😭

The most scene with so much repetition in my part ep. 60 of AOL. This scene never gets old and the scene after this where he gave her a back hug saying they cannot go back to the past but stating over again. That was heartwarming enough.
Deng Lun portrayed really marvelous with Yang Zi as his lead lady, all emotions are coming out. Mixed specifically.

Yes, it’s hurtful to not have love reciprocated, but the ones who decided to commit all of these terrible deeds were themselves. A common theme through this show is that the evil ones do not know how to take accountability for their actions. Runyu at least atoned at the end, but neither the Heavenly empress nor SuiHe were smart enough to see their own foolishness

Everyone has reasons for doing the things they did. That doesn't mean the actions are forgivable. Sure, Runyu had a bad childhood and many people were mean to him. That doesn't excuse what he did to Jinmi and to his brother. He was possessive of Jinmi and didn't care about her feelings or her freedom and only wanted her by his side even if it meant imprisoning her and forcing her and repairing the pill that forbid her from loving. He was furthermore the culprit behind Xufeng being framed for the murder. I think given the circumstances, he had every right to be jealous, even hateful of Xufeng, but the fact is that Xufeng always treated him well and so he should never have acted out in retribution.
@@catinabox3048 yea, objectively speaking, I completely get what ur saying. But I just love him so much so I can't help but be biased. His scenes were literally the only ones I cried for. Honestly though, his character development is actually quite easy to understand as it is a common trope. Having a fucked up childhood and getting extremely attached to someone pure. Also, there was that whole mother being murdered before his eyes which was the REAL trigger; can't help but think that it wasn't his fault. Its easy to sympathise with his character since he was just like any other person, but fate dealt him a bad hand and its like he was doomed to snap

this drama is honestly so good. i cant even hate all of the “bad guys”. instead, i actually feel bad for them. thats how you know a drama is good when you can sympathize w them instead of hating them. and like even all of the main leads and most characters had their moment as the bad guy. everything just happened to be a misunderstanding that led from one situation to another. so many unfortunate events TT i really loved how the storyline showed at least one flaw of every character. even the main leads who were originally portrayed as perfect. it made it seem more realistic

@pratyush dash I agree. It seems like everyone totally overlooks Xu feng sleeping with his brother's fiancee. Xu feng had everything and Runyu couldn't even have the bride that was promised to him, the only thing he wanted. Despite the ugly life he experienced, he was still a sweet and gentle person. I think seeing his mother ruthlessly murdered finally broke him. Although I can understand it, I was saddened when his love became this ugly twisted thing. I also felt sorry for the Peacock, because she did love Xu feng as much as she was capable of doing so.
@@roses7017 No actually Runyu was manipulative from the start, he took advantage of the fact Jimi didn't know love and manipulated her whole family into thinking they were in love, hid the true murderer of his loved ones family. Jinmi was not his posession and that's what he didn't understand. Even when he saw she was obviously in love with xufeng. He wanted jinmi to be an empty shell that simply followed him. Maybe he did actually love her but it seemed like sheer obsession

So hooked on this years ago. Took me a couple of times, to get into the first episode, but then was new to CH Drama. Love it so much, the songs so moving, memorable, liked the plot, charachters, Artists were superb. Familiar faces iconic.
