This scene is so heartbreaking but I keep coming back to it. I hated Jin mi so much here 😭. These three just went through pain they didn’t deserve. If run yu wasn’t maltreated by the evil empress, he wouldn’t have had to become evil and if Jin mi didn’t have the yun elixir, she would have realized it was xu feng she loved.

Suihe killed Jinmi's parents using the lotus fire (she got it from Phoenix's mom and supposedly only Phoenix and his mom knew the power). Jinmi misunderstood it, thinking Phoenix killed her father since Phoenix's mom is in the prison, no way she can be the one who did it.
While Runyu, he manipulated the dream beads. When Jinmi saw it, it made her truly believe that it was Phoenix who killed her father and her step-mom. Also, Runyu knew the existence of anti-love elixir in Jinmi's body. When in Jinmi and Phoenix were in mortal realm, the elixir broken into half pieces, later Runyu fixed the elixir thinking that if he can't get Jinmi's love, then it's better for her to live without knowing what's love.
That's why Jinmi end up killing Phoenix and the anti-love elixir broken the moment she killed him, the man she truly loves. By the time, she killed him, she finally knew her real feelings because the anti-love potion finally out of her body. She's a pitiful character. I feel like half of the problem she faced right now won't happen if her mom wasn't being paranoid 🥴
Which is what makes this whole scene really tragic 😭 if only she never had the elixir then non of these events would've happened.

wait, why am i seeing people blame jinmi for killing xufeng? yes, she stabbed him. but it DID NOT have to go that way if it weren't for suihe killing her parents and the night immortal manipulating her with a wrong dream. imagine that the only person who had the power to kill your parents was there using the same method right in front of you- would that not trigger you to do something as a defensive mechanism? granted, she had been doubting him and not feeling anything for him after her pill was reconstructed again and all that's left is hatred and hungry for justice. she was manipulated, that's it. she was as much as a victim as xufeng.

I wouldn't call him heartless What he did to Jin mi was horrible but look at what was done to him. How his stepmom treated him, she also killed his own mother and clan. All while the emperor turned a blind eye. It twisted him so badly. Honestly, it was the empress who was the true villain and the emperor who didn't stop her.

This is one of the most romantic stories ever told. I watched this series 3 times and cried pretty much all the time. I am a huge C Drama fan. I just finished The Blue Whisper, which I highly recommend. The set, the acting, the story....its all too much. American dramas don't hold a candle to these dramas. Love, Love Love!!!!!!!!!

I was really disappointed with Jin Mi killing Phoenix by backstabbing him like that. It was such a huge betrayal. Even if she didn't understand Phoenix's love or could love him back because of the Yun Elixir, it shouldn't have stopped her using her head or from understanding Phoenix's character as one of her closest friends.
She didn't believe him when he said the evidence pointing to him as the murderer are way too obvious and he's being framed. Phoenix gains nothing from killing her parents, and would lose her who meant everything to him from doing so. He was always respectful toward her parents, never even had an argument with them. It's illogical for him to kill her parents when he's trying to be together with her and make her happy. Even other people have said to her she should know what kind of person he is based on the hundreds of years they've known each other. Yet she rather believe in the "evidence" than believe in him.
She made a very stupid decision killing someone who had always protected her, always being sincere to her, and always done right by her. Or if she's not stupid then she's deadly cruel to just execute a close friend like that which is even worse for her character.

No, it’s not a stupid decision. Every single piece of evidence pointed to him being the murderer, plus, Jinmi didn’t even understand love so you can’t use that against her. She was entirely manipulated to do this, it’s not her fault.

Ran Yu was right in everything he did except for manipulating Jin Mi. The Emperor and Empress were terrible people that did as they pleased because they were so highly ranked. They had so many people who feared them and were trying to get him over throned way before Ran Yun decided to step in and do something. I believe at some point he really did love Jin Mi, she was one of the only people who cared about him and treated him like an equal. I think at some point before his mother died he would’ve broken off the engagement for Xu Feng’s happiness and Jin Mi’s. But time and time again many people kept showing him not matter what he did Xu Feng would always come above him. One of those people constantly being the moon immortal. It makes sense that he snapped but I only wished he could’ve left Jin Mi out of it :(

Nah as soon as Ran Yu knew that Xu Feng and Jinmi were close he started plotting against his brother. The mom and dad of course were psycho but Xu Feng actually loved his brother and didn't know half of what his mom was doing. Ran Yu shut Xu Feng out so certain stuff he never knew about. He just went Psycho with Jinmi because he knew she did not love him but he was willing to hurt so many people and set his brother up to die over a lie. That just showed his true colors! Even after being betrayed Xu Feng really could've set the whole palace upside down had he wanted to but he didn't.

He admitted to jinmi that his biggest weapon wasn't the army of thousands but just jinmi to kill Phoenix in cold blood. He did planned it well by manipulating her.

What killed Phoenix here is not the stab from Jinmi but the word "Never" from her. Even in that critical moment, Phoenix still asks if she ever loved him.
Xufeng is a phoenix. That means he can easily rebirth through Nirvana but the moment he heard Jinmi said "Never", he cut off his way to live and fall onto the floor. The tear that falls before his death is like the tears of blood. Xufeng will never come back to life if the emperor doesn't sacrifice himself and collect the remaining souls of Xufeng. This is why I understand every cruel act he did to Jinmi after that although at the same time I feel bad for Jinmi too.
This scene, I really admire the performance from the actress and actors (including Luo Yunxi). First of all, Luo Yunxi's expression after Jinmi killed Xufeng is so on point and detestable. He really played Runyu's character very well. Yang Zi as Jinmi. This character is the heart of this drama. Her interpretation of Jinmi from cheerful girl to miserable girl throughout the series is amazing. The scene where she stabbed Xufeng then when the elixir removed from her body and the screaming. I can feel her PAIN. It's not easy to act for a character who can't feel any emotion and always clueless when it comes to emotion since human and emotion can't be separated. She deserves her title for the best actress post-90.
Finally, Denglun as Xufeng/Phoenix. He performed the role of Phoenix very well. Honestly if someone asks me about phoenix in Chinese drama, the first person that ever comes to my mind would be Denglun. Even until now, I can't find anyone who can bring the character of Phoenix as good as Denglun. It's not just his acting but his appearance also really suits for phoenix. The interesting part when I search for Phoenix on Google. I found out about a term called "danfeng eyes" which is like a phoenix eyes. In ancient Chinese, those people who had danfeng eyes were considered as a rare beauty and Denglun are a few celebrities in China right now that have this characteristic, danfeng eyes. His acting for this scene, from the eyes, movements, micro-expressions, lines and sounds are all in place.
What makes this drama good, it's not just because they have good plot but the biggest charms of this drama is actor/actress who play the characters in it. The chemistry between Yang Zi and Deng Lun are so amazing. I will definitely love to see them pairing again in another drama.
P/s: Denglun is currently filming for his new drama called Night Wanderer. It's been a while, can't wait to see him acting again! And the plot of the drama is very interesting and very novel so I'm really looking forward to this project. I desperately really need some fresh content from cdrama lol. Previously, I really enjoyed watching drama Rattan.

Like what did you want him to do after everything he went through! As they said, a Black spot on white clothes makes it look dirtier than others!! Nah Run Yu was heartless. Everybody that betrayed him were the step mom and dad! Xu Feng was a child as well it definitely wasn't HIS fault. He always loved his brother even if his mom was and their dad were psycho! Run Yu took all of his frustrations from other people out on Xu Feng! He attacked JinMi's family in the floral realm and was literally ready to kill millions of people because JinMi did NOT love him! That is PSYCHO and heartless! Xu Feng grew up pampered but was not some spoiled brat who did not care about others! Run Yu was jealous of Xu Feng and I get why but the way he turned sneaky and conniving was just a no for me. He turned into his step mother

The emperor and the empress were really bad and it couldn't be helped that Xu feng as their child had to bear the loss of his parents as their misdeeds were brought to light. Even if he was blameless and innocent it couldn't be helped that his parents choices would affect him eventually. Run yu made a far better and kinder emperor than his father ever did, though his process was not very 'righteous' the result was the best they could ever hope for. He made a very righteous and compassionate emperor who sincerely works for the well being of his subjects. The part where he went mad after jimmi's betrayal was the only part I thought he went a little extreme but honestly how do you expect a person to react after the only person he has ever wanted for himself betrays him and left him? I don't condone his actions but I can atleast understand his frustrations and what he must have felt then.
In the end, he ended up wishing for jimmi's and his brother's happiness and I think he really did well growing up to become a lot wiser and realising in loving truly by letting go. He was a really well written character to me.

He literally worked WITH her dad and aunts murderer to set up his innocent brother just so he could make JinMi think he was nice and love him! Run Yi was a PSYCHO! This one thing he would fight for was always his excuse but how do you fight for the one thing that DOES NOT want YOU! It amazes me how people condone psycho behavior geez I'm glad this is TV no wonder so many psychos are free on the streets smh

He started off sweet and innocent but the moment he started playing with people's lives and setting up his brother and hurting her friends in the Floral Realm just to force JinMi to be with him he left the realm of innocent and became like those he hated using his power to force other people to do what they didn't want to do! Yeah he was a good emperor but if Xu Feng had become emperor and Jin Mi Empress like what SHOULD have happened the people would have lived happily and productively as well! Him and his brother could've been a real family had he chose to work with him instead of against him. In the end they still spoke but the relationship between him and his brother as well as Jin Mi was just strained and awkward while he lived miserably the rest of his days so who really won his little self righteous battle?
@@alysianna05 Not everything's black and white. Runyu's a grey character and I love him for it. Pinning every blame and hatred on one party is never right. I like Runyu but I don't say that it's all Xu feng's fault for taking away everything even after being the younger son and in case of jinmi too. It's not his fault being born privileged. If Xu feng had become the emperor as well as got the love of jinmi then I probably would not have finished the show because then it'll like every other chiche dramas where the protagonist got everything and is always right whatever they do, with the 2nd leads amounting to little. The reason I like the show was also because of how they focus on Runyu 's side of the story and how they portrayed his character development, how he was influenced to take the path he took from originally being a gentle and pure character and how he managed to come out of it sadder but wiser.

El odio que senti por Jin Mi fue real, la odie tanto porque después de matarlo se puso a gritar y tipo "hermana pa que lloras si tu misma te lo echaste ", pero también en parte la entiendo ella pensaba que él fue el que mato a su familia. Por eso esta escena es de las mejores en los dramas asiáticos, te hace meterte en la piel de cada personaje y entenderlo y a la vez odiarlo. Todo esto fue causado por el emperador y la emperatriz, el karma de ellos fue ver morir a su hijo y el karma del emperador fue ver como sus hijos se mataban por una mujer, tal y como sucedió en la historia de él, su amigo y el hada de las flores.

Honestly, people are calling Run yi heartless or a villain. But in truth, he isn't. What he did to Jun mi and such was wrong, however all he did was a result of the empress and the emperor. His mother was ditched and then killed, all of his clan slaughtered and how the empress has always treated him cruelly and the emperor turning a blind eye. This was a domino effect of the emperor and empress, honestly though this whole show is. Not just Run yi but also the floral goddess as well

He was heartless! By all means get revenge on those who hurt you if that floats your boat but Run Yi took it out on Xu Feng who actually loved his brother and the manipulation of JinMi was out of line! He knew who killed her dad and aunt but wanted to play hero while setting up his brother. That is sick

Vale mucho la pena, esta en vikki y en Netflix. La serie tiene 63 eps si mal no recuerdo, por lo que puede parecer un poco lenta al principio ( la verdad a mi me encantó, en esta etapa tiene un toque muy cómico). Pero es muy buena. Tip : la traducción a veces medio te confunde así que cuando al inicio dicen que Jin mi no puede amar, se refieren al amor erótico.
Y eso que todo lo que pasa antes hace que esta escena sea millones de veces mejor :')
