Kate, lovely to see your notification on a wet, windy and miserable “ summer’s day ” in Ireland ( Mid West). We holidayed in Kilcar last June and the weather was gorgeous . Visited Studio Donegal and purchased some Darnie wool, of course. Looking forward to your next podcast.
Your Love note sweater will just look beautiful it is a lovely colour and the lace so pretty. I also love the weekender it is just everything your could want in a comfy cozy sweater. Thank you for sharing your knits with us.
Hi Kate!! It's so nice to see you again. I love the things you're knitting! They're beautiful! I'm knitting a pair of Heel Toe Do-Si-Do socks with Sherry Iris stripy yarn. 😍😘
Hi Kate! Wonderful to see you again! You made a lovely Weekender! Thank you for showing the Irish coastline. You inspired me to make a lovenote. It looks so beautiful. It will look stunning on you with a white shirt😍 I just finished the Tolsta Tee and have plans to make the Ilha. Currently I have the Venezia shawl (1 skein) on my needles. Have a lovely summer. Hope to see you soon 🤗
Hello from 🇨🇦. I found you while you were on your trip to Dublin with Sandy and Emma. Love your podcast. I am working on a cabled blanket for my niece ❤️
Oh Kate I’m so glad to see you again, I have really missed you …. Loving your weekender jumper such a beautiful colour … and also your love notes jumper xxx
Lovely to see you back Kate. Lovely relaxing podcast 😊 I'm currently working on socks, a shawl and a chunky cardigan for Winter, although with our current Scottish summer I may be wearing it sooner 😂
I was just thinking about you this morning here in Iowa USA!! What a lovely surprise when you popped up on my feed!! ❤️ your Donegal sweater!! I am very fond of tweed too!! Happy Knitting!! 🧶
Lovely episode. Great to see you again. I just finished a pair of shortie socks. Am working on an afghan square & have a sweater & a tee on the needles
The end of the week just got even sweeter ! How wonderful to see you and hear about your knitting, projects and escapades! Your Weekender and Love Note jumpers are truly beautiful! Have a wondrous summer time! 🌸🧶🌼
Great video I would have loved to see your cross stitch! I myself have been getting back into my cross stitch it’s very relaxing! Your knitting is epic!
Nice to see you again. 💚 I think I will take out my Weekender pattern and get it in the needles. I love the green. So many projects going on. God Bless You. 🙏it’s 0350 here in Pennsylvania. Nice having a knitting buddy. Your sick project bag is awesome.
Hi Kate we chatted in the queue at the Woolly Good Gathering 😊 I bought some beautiful skeins of Lammermuir Achness DK there and have just finished the Sea Salt hoodie from the latest Laine magazine. It feels like a lovely souvenir of the day. I’ve got two skeins left over though and don’t know how to use such special yarn. 200g of DK Shetland is a bit random lol. Lovely to see you again xxxx
The socks are all very pretty. I like the green yarn in your oversized sweater. The sweater with the lace work is lovely. I'm learning to knit. I'm practicing to get good tension on my stitches. I'm crocheting a temperature blanket, an afghan, and an Agatha's Reading Shawl.
Loved seeing you again! And the book shelf colorway is really gorgeous. Btw, I read your sockalong as the HC Clucky Dip! 🐔🤣 Hopefully no yarn chicken involved.
❤❤hello Kate 🎉🎉🎉 So good to see you,,,miss you,,, Love ur 🧦💕 socks,,,and lovenote,,, I started one !!! What a lovely surprise, Kate. So enjoyed being with you again and appreciate you coming back to us! Your green sweater certainly does look cosy, and I may have to consider making it this next autumn/winter. You asked what we were making: well, I've almost finished the Rospico top by Along Avec Anna in some lovely hand-dyed yarn from Emma at Eldenwood Crafts. Next, I'm thinking of making a Tolsta Tee by Crea Bea. 😊xx
Delightful podcast! Thank you so much. The socks are superb along with your sweaters. Scenery is over the top, thanks for showing the beautiful coast line.
Lovely to find you here again Kate! Always. Bonus! I’m knitting a huge shawl called Tycho by Natasja Hornsby and I’m loving it. I’ve also got a Fairisle cardigan on the go, by Jaki Bigg of Hot Butter Yarns and this is keeping me on my toes as it’s a very different construction to what I’m used to. It will also. Have to be STEEKED! Eek! 😂New challenge for me! Love your Weekender sweater, I’m so tempted, but I think my next will be Ranunculus #2 for me. Looking forward to whenever you can make it back to our screens! Have a lovely summer! x
Lovely to see you again Kate. The Weekender sweater is beautiful, the green suits you so well. I’m knitting the Mysterium Tee at the moment but to be honest it’s not tee weather! Take care and thankyou for a lovely podcast. Xx
Kate, great to see you again. Your Lovenote is stunning. I am working on a cotton-linen short sleeve tee. It's usually above 30° C here in the summer in Wyoming, so no summer wool for me!
Lovely to see you again Kate! It’s fine if you’re sporadic, makes for such a nice surprise when one of your videos pops up. Your Love Note is beautiful and I think the color suits you well, as does that rich green Weekender. I have been knitting very slowly since February due to a repetitive motion injury to my elbow. It is slowly healing and I am increasing the knitting time but it is soooo hard to stop when I should! Right now I am loving knitting the Heel Tab Shorty Socks by Larissa Gregorin, free pattern and such a great fitting sock. Also slowly working the Suri Shirt by Caidree and the Rockhound Vest by Wool and Pine Designs. Hope you are enjoying your summer in that lovely country of yours! Thank you for sharing with us!
You always make me think of Christmas because I started watching your podcast during Vlogmas 😊. I'm knitting the Tolsta Tee atm, part of my experiments with "summer" yarns.
So lovely to see you again Kate.I am probably in a minority, but am knitting the Pohjola by Sari Nordlund. So no Summer knits for me. Love your Weekender as i also love Studio Donegal and what a beautiful green. Take care and sending very best wishes from my home to yours x
how nice to see you again! what a lovely scenery you share with us! what I am knitting for the moment : it would not be for you for now, it is a intarsia sweater (ardagh) by Alice Starmor from a book 'Celtic collection' (1992), it requires continues counting and crossing threads, you only knit 3 to 6 stitches in one colour. it is beautifull, and I love knitting it, but I can understand that this is not everyone's cup of tea, and it is not because it is difficult that it is more worthy. I love your enthousiasm for the Sock Camp - enjoy it!
Hello, just thinking I hadn’t seen you so lovely to see you back. I just love your Lovenote and the perfect yarn for it too! I love that Darnie Donegal yarn, hopefully I can find it here in New Zealand. I am knitting a cardigan called Nichi nichi and I’m just about to cast on the contrast sweater by petite knits and two tones of pink 😊plus I have socks on the needles of course 😂
What a lovely surprise to see you Kate! Even though I subscribe and have turned on notifications I wasn’t advised of this event. I was watching another podcast and, when it finished, up popped Hawthorn Cottage Crafts! I could not believe my eyes! Welcome back - it has been an amazing podcast (I’m nearly to the end) and I am going to have to watch it again. I am knitting a Joji Locatelli scarf and want to then try my first top down cardi. Wish me luck. I’ll look forward to the next time you appear. Keep knitting! ❤️🧶
So lovely to see you again,Kate! Everything you knit looks so good. I keep working on my technique hoping it is improving. I have been on a sock roll, yes, two pair of Kay Jones' Crunkle socks & now the Bauble Extravaganza socks by Sierra Kreun. Maybe I should have joined the year long challenge. Otherwise, I have a white cotton summer top knit in pieces, which is going slow. The very best to you and enjoy the summer!
Hi Kate, nice to see you again. I totally love my weekender. I practically live in it! At the moment I am knitting on my first colourwork sweater it's bottom up and I have paused on the body while I knit the sleeves. I can't do them two at a time until I get past the colourwork, I have got there on one, now to cast the next one on! I got distracted with the vertices unite shawl along with Giddy yarns. I am still on section 3 on that too. There are so many things to make and so little time. I saw you on Emma's vlog too. 😁
So nice to “see” you! I am working on several things right now - Sea Salt Socks, The Endy Bits Scarflette by Kay Jones, and the Easy V by Caitlin Hunter. I am also going to pick back up my Seaglass Tee (it’s languished long enough.
Hi Kate I’m finally catching up on You Tube and was delighted to see this notification. I also love the Love Note I’ve made three so far. Your yarn looks lovely . Funny enough I was in M & S today and was surprised to see so many brown tops and a few dresses too. I’m trying to finish stuff and I finished and gifted a prayer shawl but forgot to take a photo in my rush to get to church. I’m almost done with a Feldspar tee started last summer but as the weather isn’t good enough to wear it my motivation to get it done is weak. I’m also taking part in summer sock camp. I’ve finished one regular pair and a pair of shorties in cotton. My friend requested a pair of cotton shorties for her upcoming birthday and I started them on the bus today. (Since I now have my first bus pass there is a lot of sock knitting while travelling ) I’m ready to wind two more skeins and get more in the needles for the next few weeks.
You’re a nice surprise pop up in my notifications! You must have a ton of same size sock needles. I really must get a 2nd 9” 2.25. I too am knitting my first Love Note. The yarn tried to be something else but it is going to be a lovely Love Note. I am working on Little Dot socks by Summer Lee and just started a Cloud 9 tee by A. Yetman but with longer sleeves. Enjoy your summer.
Hehe, loved the traffic jam at the end there! It was so lovely seeing an episode from you popping up on my feed today. Love your Weekender sweater, it just looks like a warm hug. I finished a Love Note just a month or so ago, but it's so hot here there's no chance of wearing it. Love your version! Thinking of maybe knitting another in a DK yarn with a bit of texture... not sure... I really enjoyed doing a Tin Can Knits pattern, so now I'm working on the Antler Cardigan And of course there's some socks on the needles. Take care and enjoy your crafting, be it knitting or something else.
I have had a 6 month knitting slump. Possibly my longest ever. I still watch podcasts but I think I was genuinely not happy with what I was knitting = a Christmas gift for my DGD - which is still on the needles. Today while watching your podcast I picked them up again and have decided I will finish them but will also soon cast on another pair for her that I like better. Lots of life changes and loss lately, which is not helping with the mojo either but maybe just starting again will be good for me in so many ways. Happy to see that you are back.
Such a wonderful surprise to get the alert for your new episode. Socks are my go to when I need something to knit that gives me the satisfaction of completing something quickly. Kate's Cottage is in such a beautiful setting. That clip just felt so peaceful.
