Hello, I am going to buy a redington classic trout 9´ 4wt, I am going to dry fly and dry dropper fishing, I was wondering what would be better for me, Scientific anglers mastery trout - scientific anglers mastery VPT or mpx ?? thanks
If you still wanted the head length of the Infinity, but a little more weight to handle dry-droppers and streamers, can you go with the Mastery Standard but upweight 1 line weight? So a 7wt for my Douglas Sky 6wt and/or 8wt for my Sage Maverick 7wt.
@@Duranglers Thanks. I see you guys stock the Sage Maverick, so assuming you would have given it a go at some point? If so, do you think the 7wt would handle a one up line well?
Great presentation. Glad they kept the smooth lines, the sharkskin and textured lines noise in the rings is something I hate.
I know you guys made this a year ago…. But I just wanted to say you all did a great job!
So much wonderful info!!! Thanks for the excellent content…
Thank you Jay, we really appreciate it!
Thanks for all the good information, please keep the videos coming. You guys are great, best fly shop, period!
Thank you Terry we will!
Is there a SA Med7 floating fly line? Thank you very much for your informative video!
I have the amplitude and it’s my favorite! I used to use the frequency but the amplitude is better
The Amplitude is one of the best line series out there right now for sure!

Hey Kush, the best for that rod would be the SA Mastery Trout. We have that line in stock, let us know if we can help you out. Thanks!

For sure. Sizing up your line will give you that little extra punch while still retaining the line taper of the Infinity.

@@fransjooste2331 I would think one line up would be just fine. The Maverick is a faster salt rod, so it would probably cast it solid.
Which would you recommend for a orvis access 5wt rod. Its a mid flex so i am guessing ill get a 4wt if i go mpx.
That would be a good call for the MPX, but I would go with the SA Trout taper on that rod.
Which line would you put with #5 Helios 3F?
Hey, The Scientific Anglers Trout taper in Mastery or Amplitude is about perfect for that rod. Hope that helps, thank you!
Fishing line prices are out of control. Think of how popular fly fishing would be if you could afford line.
I mean, fly fishing is pretty popular.
Anyone paying over 100 bucks for a fly line, A needs their head examined and B a casting lesson.
Idk the amplitude textured lines kinda nice, would still just but smooth tho
need me to but you a quality fly line?
you should buy a good quality fly line
