Sounds like it was a momentary lapse - under a lot of pressure. You’ve said you know not to play headliner tracks when you’re warming up. It’s all experience. And you still totally deserved to be there!
this has been an unwritten rule for years. its because you never know if the artist is going to use it or not. some djs will say i was just showing respect to the artist and its actually disrespectful to do it. sorry it happened but it sounds like you understand and wont do it again.

I believe that I was just not in my normal state of mind due to being so busy with my other job & putting so much pressure on myself to do well with this opportunity. Actually it was also a bit risky by James Hype's team to take some fans playing besides him as many DJs in this group will be extremely inspired by JH and would also play same tracks and same transitions/tricks of course. Would have been a good idea to tell you upfront NOT to play songs JH will usually play in his sets so you can prepare something different. But pretty sure Rashun also learned this and will give more instructions if they would ever do something like that again. But very good idea to use this statement also to increase your channel... It is just a bit late from my point of view. That statement and the rest of the set should have been released on your channel directly after the MovingDiffernently episode. But good luck ... and also record your full set. Would be stupid not to do this. 👍😉
