    Hey Grazzet, would you ever do a series where you revisit decks and update them? If so, can you do one for this deck?

  • @Pixel165
    @Pixel165 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Ok what the hell. First this decklist is so epic. I've always wanted to use the empire artifacts all in one deck. Ive had the scepter from like 10 years ago ahhaha. Second, the way he takes the time to explain all the cards, the commander, the curve, the sidegrades, the upgrades as well as the combos is so nice. Most channel try to speedrun decktechs nowadays. Also the budget for theses decks is perfect and I don't feel bad for adding some of the 20$ upgrades that I like since the overall cost is so low. I've juste ordered the entire deck and I look forward to playing it a lot. I usually never comment on videos but figured this channel deserved some praise since it feels like a lot of effort is being put into them. Look forward to your other decklists!

    I’m so glad you’re back from vacation! Hope it was enjoyable. Great video as always and I absolutely loved the combo section of the video! Sometimes I just need that little extra bit to make all the pieces click together in my head.
    I voted in the poll, but my vote for future videos goes to our favorite zombie loving girl, Gisa.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you enjoyed the build and glad to be back - now I just need to get back into the groove of things! That combo part of the video took a bit longer to edit than anticipated - but its good to here folks are enjoying it.
      Gisa would be a interesting Mono-Black Build around - gotta love bringing back all our opponents creatures and have them turn against their former summoners as decayed corpses. We'll, I suppose statistically someone has to love it anyway.

    Glad to have you back, pal! Ludevic is getting my vote since I am currently building a deck of him as commander, but trying to figure out the sort of other creatures to put in it to take advantage of his transformed side.
    And as for other potential commanders in the future, I'm considering building either a Voltron-style Vadrik, Astral Archmage or aristocratic Jerren, Corrupted Bishop/Ormendahl, the Corrupter. Love the content as always, congrats on the 1400 subs! 👍👍

      Vadrik and Jerren would be cool build arounds with Vadrik making a interesting spell slinger Voltron Hybrid build an Jerren helming a Aristocrat/Human deck. Could be fun.

      Ah yes, the brave new world of Simic Lands Matter. 😆
      Well, at least we have a new Ooze to lead it, which is a plus - if the event you don't want a elf, merfolk, or serpent to do so.

    Super Sweet deck tech! Really like the explanation of the different combos. I suggest Mishra's Factory and Blinkmoth Nexus to be added to the landbase. They could act as cmc 0 artifacts by tapping themselves.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great Suggestions! I honestly had forgotten that Mishra's Factory could turn itself into a artifact creature and Blinkmoth Nexus, while it would get us over budget in this build, would also make a create addition to start climbing the ladder with Oswald. Thanks for bringing these to my attention!

    • @freerunkevin
      @freerunkevin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GrazzetMTG I've found Coveted Jewel to be worth considering as well. Podding nexus into jewel is quite strong. 3 cards + 3 mana, and 3 more mana the next turn. You can pod it away the next turn to prevent an opponent gaining its benifit.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@freerunkevin Good suggestion - I can certainly see this being a solid include for the Card Advantage and Ramp it provides, especially off of the extra turn Nexus provides to remove its downside.

    The return of the king... and with quite the upgrade! I really like the new aesthetic and format, gives some new life into the video format! And the combo section is just *chef's kiss*. Make sure you can turn it into a "Showcase" section for the future though. After all not all decks are as heavily combo-oriented as our soon-to-be-tested-out pal here, and a glorious display of a ridiculous amount of damage or something like it could be perfect for the more... simple-minded commanders. In my opinion at least.
    Day 61 of waiting for Grazzet's face reveal. Boy, it feels so good typing that again! Hopefully our Prototype Monster Masher Ludevic can come out on top in the poll!

    My vote goes to slogurk, mainly since I have the commander legends precon via aesi and want to re purpose it to something slightly more interesting lmao
    Nice oswald build, and nice touch expounding on the combos for those in the dark. As far as moving forward, Ive already mentioned I'd like to see Gorex from the precon because mono black zombie turtle ayyyy, but the UB clue sac looks cool too

      Gorex would a an interesting commander - mono-black creature recursion instead of reanimation is a interesting way to build it. Eliose and clue/surveil is also a new design space... So many options!

    Great video, as always. Think you could do Lynde Cheerful Tormentor at some point? Having a lot of trouble finding decent budget builds for it. I voted Ludevic, by the way. Curious to see how it'll work.

    Does anyone have any tips for piloting this deck? Just sleeved it and I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the pod choices, synergies, and general lines of play.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Personally - I'd aim to tutor up Swiftfoot boots ASAP if you don't open with it to be able to protect Oswald from removal as early as possible. Once that's done, if you want to try to end the game quickly, the deadliest combo to shoot for would be Triskelion + Dross Scorpion + Cauldron of Souls, since it only requires 3 pieces and ends the game on the spot. Climbing into Ugin's Nexus would be a good start - then Tutoring up Cauldron of Souls (Which also protects Oswald and gets double usage out of sacing any artifact creatures we have), then tutoring up dross scorpion. Ideally, we'll then close this out by sacing Ugin's Nexus to tutor up Triskelion (getting an extra turn in the process) and immediately combing off to kill the entire table. And even if that fails, we'll still have that extra turn to go into another line of play or try to get the removed pieces back with any recursion/reanimation we may have.
      Of course, that's only one line of play but I hope that gives you an idea on where to start.

      @@GrazzetMTG Awesome, thanks so much for the explanation! I'll play solitaire with the deck with that line in mind and go from there. If you have the time, could you maybe go over cards that can be easily replaced with side/upgrades?

    Very cool deck tech and top notch presentation as always. How would you rate the power level of this deck, given the usual 1-10 scale (with 10 being cedh)?

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad you enjoyed it. On a power scale - I would say that it falls between a 5 - 6. The deck can win reliably within 6 - 7 turns if you make a beeline for the Treskelion Infinite Damage combo, but that's assuming your opponents don't do anything to stop you, more realistically reaching wincons at around turn 8+.
