Thank you Angela ! I have been filling you for years. I'm working a quilt and was getting distracted as it wasn't coming out the way I wanted so I started doing more echoing and it looks much better! So much happier with it
My go to thread is what ever matches my project so it don't show all the mistakes!

It's so hard to choose a favorite but I've used pale mist a lot because it blends so well with all kinds of fabrics and I love colorful quilts. But I must say when I received my thread set with the Floral Frames, just seeing them all together in the bag made my heart race. I get hit with an adrenaline rush whenever I shop for fabric and thread. I've learned a lot from Angela and appreciate her enthusiasm but what has really sunk into my brain (Finally) is that quilts really do look good upon completion and to just keep going. (I have actually thrown projects away due to frustration!) No more. Also one of the most valuable tips I learned was to look ahead of the needle. That actually works!

My favourite glide thread is Eureka. It’s not a stark black and is fairly versatile when black is needed. Thanks for this challenge. I’m going back to review all of the videos and make my first attempt to ruler and free motion quilt this lovely panel. Thank you!

My go to glide color is “Dijon”. It’s a light non-metallic gold, perfect for outlining or all over general quilting. Adds just a touch of elegance! On your last mandala quilt challenge, I got the taffy color and found it to be very intriguing, and I’m not a person usually for coral, but this is gorgeous.
So excited to see color card for glide, put me in on that giveaway! Awesome!
I got the ribbon candy as a stencil from “Full Line stencils” that use the pounce pad and they didn’t exactly fit where I used them so I had to size it in the space accordingly but it was an excellent guide anyway for my learning and I got better as I went along! Highly recommend doing that. Just get some smaller ones and learn the movement on the design, without a lot of cost! I have the small candle for example, from them which made a great flame center with echos around that. The holy on the candle can be separated from the candle for learning that design!
I must say I tried various sized swirls on the border of a quilt I just finished with a background fabric of smoke-like bubbles. My swirls did not come out very uniform like yours are, however, it all blends and adds nice texture. I did get very bored with it, so I tried different thread dark/light colors to break it up (all in the same color family of blue-gray matching the fabric colors).

I have used Celery on many varied color quilts. Vegas Gold is another that works well on lots of colors the shininess of the glide threads helps them to blend with whatever is surrounding them…reflects the fabric color a bit.

My favorite useful color is cool grey but I definitely lean toward all greenblue hues in almost everything I make! My question for next week is.. How do we find information about techniques and patterns from older series, efficiently. For instance in the live chat videos, some extra details are shared about how to make a swirl or how to fill in background not covered in the regular posted episode. So when I try to find those extras it’s really hard. Can a table of contents be made with time stamps for the live chats? Probably too much work to do for old ones, but going forward?

Yikes I LOVE all things pink but I don’t do a lot of thread painting, and don’t feel comfortable enough for a contrast so the most useful colors to me are all the palest of every shade.
