This movie is a mixture from: John Wick (acrobatics) + Deadpool (Humor) + Zack Snyder (Cinematography)= Bullet Train. Beautiful cinematography and great performance.
How? The Tarantino style overlaps with this movie in regards to the presence of violence and thats it. The storytelling does not match with his movies at all. His films are more polished. And the dialogue is a lot more Deadpool esque which is far from tarantino

Oh, awesome. Perhaps it is a movie that wants to have a good time and be entertained for a while and it fulfilled its objective, despite being "an action popcorn movie" it still manages to entertain (And it is directed by the one who made Atomic Blonde, Hoobs and Shaw and Deadpool 2). And despite having one or two flaws, it manages to make you enjoy. From the action to the cinematography to the production design in Tokyo they are spectacular.
I take it you don't watch many movies if you think this is a best cinematography contender. This isn't even the best looking action movie of the year - that goes to top gun 2

One of the most fun, badass, epic, well written, character driven movies ive seen in a long time. Almost as good as game of thrones (s1-4) The music tops it all off. I need a prequel with lemon and tangerine

the visuals were kill bill on crack, but the editing does feel like edgar wright. this movie would've been awesome if it tried to be more like a tarantino flick than deadpool or a wright movie.

For me the edit pacing felt like an Edgar Wright. Shots and lightning felt like Nicolas Winding Refn
dialogues and action scenes felt like tarantino too, i think there's definitely some inspiration there
