They acted like peace was easily attainable for a murderer, liar, manipulator, and child killer like him. I love Klaus like the rest of us, but the writers should’ve kept it real (as real as a supernatural show can be) and made it even sadder by not allowing him to reach Peace. It would’ve made sense considering Klaus/Elijah’s actions and the show was already going for a sad ending anyway.

you can call the mikaelsons iconic all you want but that’s a family i would never want to be a part of. toxicity and betrayal reach another level with them and i guess that’s why i always felt for kol the strongest. he was one of them, but he also wasn’t. he tried to be part of always and forever but finally found his peace and freedom by letting go of it. 90% of the time they treated him like a nuisance and never made him feel really loved. when he met davina he finally experienced what it meant to be chosen and put first and cared for. to have someone fight for you relentlessly. of course he fell in love with her. of course he chose her at every turn instead of his family. he would have been a fool if he hadn’t. many hated him for it, but it only made me love him more. it was 100% in character. of course they worked out and in the end were one of the few ships that managed to achieve being endgame in the tvd universe, despite everything that happened to them. they found belonging in and with each other and once they did they were never gonna let go.
I’m very late, but you share my sentiments. It’s a shame that Kol’s story was rushed and hardly fleshed out from his point of no longer being bloodthirsty, angry, and impulsive. Kol was my favorite Mikaelson because he was the only one willing to put someone above his family. He would betray his siblings till the cows came home if it meant he’d have more time with Davina, or Davina would be safe. Whereas the Mikaelsons didn’t care who they had to maim, manipulate, betray, or kill to save themselves. It just got so tiring to watch; argue, betray, dagger, repeat. Or it’s even worse seeing the completely avoidable and unnecessary deaths of innocents just because of Mikaelson ego, greed, and/or paranoia. And it was all for the same reasons-each other. The Mikaelsons truly are toxic and codependent, which is why I’d personally hate to be in that family-fierce loyalty (sometimes) aside. And I headcannon that Kol never went back .

How do they wrap that up. Such a disservice to Kol and Davina as characters and actor/actresses to treat them like a kid playing trees in a play.
I alps hate that they never explained it. I mean if I had to guess, I feel like either davina turns into a vampire or finds a spell to stop her from aging

The actual way that I’m still obsessed with this (currently binging it again on ITV X in the Uk) Kol was always my favourite. I wish we would have gotten to see more of Kol, I wonder why? I wonder why Daniel Sharman also took up a lot of important Kol moments instead of Nathaniel.
Also as a side note - does anybody remember the mini online series they did with Nathaniel exploring Kol’s interest in witches? If so, does anybody know what it was called, and how I can watch it again? Thanks.

Kol was the best Mikealson, he was the only mikealson who actually deserved the happy ending and I am glad he got one. He is the best looking mikaelson and Klaus deserved to have the bone dagger in his chest for at least a couple decades more. Also Klaus doesn't look good.
