I asked Ollie 73 questions about his time at University College London.

I'm currently looking for univeristy options which isn't easy given the current restrictions, this makes it a lot more easier, it's nice because you can kinda of get a see for the environment as you guys walk and talk as well as the relevant questions , brilliant series 😀

Best bit of UCL has to be its location, central London on your doorstep plus you have 4 or 5 other world class universities nearby.

Haha, gotta love that lovely chap Oli; and to contribute my fair share to beat the cliche, most UCL students are not Oxbridge rejects. In fact, I and almost all of my mates at UCL have secured offers from both or either one of Oxbridge Unis, but settled for UCL for either our department's reputation or have reserved them for further specialized studies.
You can't apply to both oxbridge unis, check y facts before lying
@@AryanSingh-bw3cw Bruh! I literally got both of their offers last year, and I'm surrounded by tons of them around me at UCL now who did. What's your point, mate? When did you apply for both and get to know you can't get placed?

I’m currently only in year 9 but I really wanna try and get into this school, I mean I suck at maths but I really want a degree in English and with current global situation I’m kinda just grateful to be choosing my GCSEs but seriously I’ll try my best to get into
Heyyyyy A-level student here! Babe if you sick at maths but want to do something completely different for uni then you’ll be fine! I got a 4 in my maths and am applying for Sociology and have gotten offers from LSE, Edinburgh, Bath and Oxford Brookes. (I’m waiting on UCL) Ik I’m not giving advice with regards to the university you want, but LSE is quite similar and the truth is it is all about your course. Don’t worry too much about your GCSE grades, just make sure your college or A-level grades are really good, (my predicted grades were AAA) the only time your GCSE grades might matter is if the admissions people are really struggling to decide between you and another student. But this isn’t too big of a concern. My biggest tip is: easy course+top uni or hard course+lower rated uni. The only time you need to worry is if you go for a competitive course and STILL a top uni. I hope this helps! Xx good luck and don’t stress too much, enjoy year 9/10 and just focus on building good study habits if I’m being a hundred percent honest, GCSE’s aren’t very important to unis so truly just work on creating good work habits as they can take you all the way through life! I can not catch up with native fast flow and often miss " some words in a sentence" leads to inability to get through the messages
Don't worry, mate; I was one too. Continue seeing these types of videos and occasionally try to use their native phrases in your normal conversations often.

First, 2:1, Upper 2nd, etc. are different grade levels of valuation of your semester.

ucl and icl are top20 worldwide and warwick is like top 50
idk why ppl shit on ucl so much, its not as good as icl but its the 4th best uni in the uk after oxbridge and imperial
LSE is better for the subjects they offer but as an overall institution, UCL>> LSE
also UCL are world class at things like psycho and pharmacy and archaeology, arts etc and are not as good for engineering, for example (compared to imperial)
