In hindsight, this movie turned out to be a blessing: Even if Zack Snyder hadn't left the project due to the tragic death of his daughter, he would have been forced to make changes to his own vision after the reception that BvS got. Now though, after this turkey flopped, Zack Snyder gets to make the movie he always wanted to make.

The funny thing about the Russian Family bit is that in the Snyder Cut Steppenwolf sets up his base of operations at Chernobyl. Both for Snyder to be meta, “Fine, you complain about collateral damage? Fuck it, the entire final fight will take place at the most uninhabitable place on Earth.” and for Steppenwolf to seem smarter. Then Joss comes in, changes Chernobyl to “Bizarnoff,” and throws in a family for the League to save when the entire point of setting it at a Nuclear Reactor was so civilians would be out of the immediate danger zone.

Closeups is the essence of Whedon shooting style. He is a TV director in the first place. The Avengers movie was filled with closeups. When we talk about the art of building a frame, Whedon is no match to Snyder. Not even close.
I heard that “Kal-El no!” line is still in Snyder’s cut but personally the line delivery never bothered me. It’s not perfect, but it’s not horrible in my opinion.
I never really cared if there was a Snyder Cut back when everyone was going #release the Snyder cut. But when it was announced that it was happening I was happy. Not for me I was happy for Zack Snyder. I was happy for the fans. I was happy that they were happy.

He was able to find love, he had a family..."), among a few others. Also, there were some moments in the Snydercut that made me laugh out loud (even if they were meant to be taken very seriously). Right now, I wouldn´t be able to decide which version is worst, or better.

yeah, I think Zack said that he would cut out the added dialogue from Geoff Johns.
After watching ZSJL, and reading his story arc for JL2 and JL3, it's clear that "somebody" leaked Snyder's script to "some" studio.
