The Only Tourist In ASTANA? KAZAKHSTAN'S Capital City 🇰🇿

  • I explore the recently renamed capital city of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan (Astana). A city of impressive architecture, there are plenty of cool buildings to see. After spending some time walking around, I begin to wonder if I'm the only tourist.

As a cultural and lingual enthusiast, Kazakhstan has recently been put in my bucket list to travel to someday. The sheer geographical enormity of this beautiful Central Asian titan holds so many surprises: Majestic mountains, pristine forests, vast steppes, and a fascinating and diverse patchwork of different ethnic groups, especially the amazing Turkic people that is the namesake of this country: The Kazakhs. I hope to one day travel to Kazakhstan and meet its people. This is truly one of the world's most beautiful and fascinating places to travel to, and I hope others can have the chance to experience and cherish Kazkahstan to the fullest. Greetings and much love to the people of Kazakhstan from the United States! 🇰🇿🇺🇸

Loving your Kazakh videos. I was there in June/July this year and had a great time in Almaty and Astana. I travelled to Astana for a concert with Dimash Kudaibergen, who is a brilliant young singer, much loved in Kazakhstan. It was amazing. Thousands of fans from around the world came, so it was a bit more touristy than your experience! 😂 I loved the whole experience, people, landscape and architecture too 👍

Shymkent is another MUST SEE town. My American friends absolutely loved it.
Another tip - when you come to Kazakhstan, you get 100% better experience if you already make a friend and visit his or her family down there.
My friends, who travel across the world multiple times a year, said it was the best trip they’ve ever had. They drank vodka and danced listening to “Kyzyl orik” (ethnic song) by the side of the road on a freeway. They met famous tv personalities at the Central Bath houses in Almaty (where everyone is 100% naked, of course gender divided) and had a great laugh with them.
They went to Kazakh weddings and other major celebrations in Shymkent. Even though they were not on the guest list, they were treated very well and felt absolutely welcomed at those events.
    That’s Kazakh style, babe! 🌺

I am amazed by Astana! It's so futuristic that it could easily pass for Dubai. Such modern infrastructure, wonderful people, and *SUCH* a mesmerising mosque. I would love to visit Kazakhstan one day- it is indeed a very nice place! Much love and a tremendous amount of respect to my Kazakh brothers and sisters from Pakistan 💙💛💚🤍

Wow, I did not have the faintest idea of the capital of Kasakhstan looking so cool! But, very, very empty, and very sterile. It doesn't seem to have any shops either. Perhaps not the most warm and welcoming city center. It looks a little cold, big and and empty, but also cool. I'm sure all the people are gathering elsewhere in the city and not in downtown.

I was in Astana last year. Its not eerie at all. Its a bit quiet, it's like Wall Street after 6 pm. The people there were friendly, it was fun to visit a city built just for show. I took the train to Almaty after, cost about 20 bucks. I went for a meal on my first night that cost 400 euro for two, but I found a really cool restaurant with great music after that. Definitely worth a visit, but 2 days is enough. Kazakhstan is amazing, I'm still in contact with the people I met down there.

I can tell that Astana were always a surprising place, how I remember from my childhood, while our road trip to our relatives in the north (I lived in the south of the country) I always were extremely surprised by this city, it could be extremely cold in summer (about 2-3 degrees above zero even), and building are very impressive, when I grown up, I visited Astana not so often but it is very unique place, despite that it is a capital, it is slowed down laid back city, people are not crazy fast, looks like they live enjoying their lives. Very interesting place. I think should visit once in your life at least.
