      Your take is spot on, mate. Back Ange, he has shown that the team is able to win big matches.
      We just need more consistency, which comes from quality squad depth reinforcements (i.e. transfers or through the Spurs youth academy) and not sacking the coach.
      Spurs were arguably after Arne Slot and Postecolglou last year, so it seems that our taste in managers is quite good. One possibility is that we may have reached the maximum state from the current club owners. There are rumours that Tottenham is looking to sell 20-30% of the club to a new rich investor, in order to allow future growth of the club :)

    Definitely Ange in. There's no point in being over-reactionary/emotional. This was never gonna be a quick fix. And with this board, any manager would struggle lol. He's not perfect of course, but I rate Ange for actually sticking to his philosophy and trying to keep the vision consistent. This was the same 11 that played mid-week, and it's not even our strongest 11, so what did we really think would happen?
    The bigger picture will never really change until Spurs get new owners. Timo Werner off the bench just says it all man.

      Who agreed to recruit these players? Why are we constantly getting injuries under Ange? Why are we playing Gray at CB instead of an actual CB in Dorrington? Why is there is no in-game management? Why are we taking off Maddison, the most productive player on the pitch?
      Ange is an amateur Sunday League manager.

    Fun Game, disappointed but we have to look at a few things.
    - Liverpool is in form on top of the league.
    - Salah is consistently on fire - Son has been nowhere near his best.
    - Spurs depleted through injury running on empty.
    - we missed Mickey VDV at the back. Take liverpools back 3 out and they'd struggle.
    - if Spurs score the 4th it's a very different ending.
    - We never gave up.
    - The bounce of the ball was very much going Liverpools way.
    - fatigue - handed the ball over too many times.
    - We still put 3 goals on the best team in the world without our very best squad.
    Ange in - we never gave up.

    Look how depleted we are and we're still only a handful of points off 4th. We've scored 12 goals in 3 games. We know what the problem is, it's recruitment. Spurs went too far into the "buying for the future" style. We need a couple more bodies in January and then a couple more in the summer and we'll be fine. Just ride this out. We got no cover and everyone is knackered but they're giving it everything. It's not like they've downed tools, that would be different. We know how good Angeball can be. You can discuss this until the cows come home. The simple fact is we don't have a quality squad and the club is being miss managed from the very top. We all know that. It's not something that's just happened, it goes way back. The whole club needs a complete shift. The one innocent person here is Ange. Yes the club will survive because it's being treated as an asset. A fantastic stadium without doubt. However you can have a Ferrari but it doesn't mean your a good driver. The solution is up to Levy. He really needs to take note of the motto 'to dare is to do'

    I would say that most people that comment are feeling the need to vent, they are emotional because they want their team to win. Because of this the comments are often positive when we win and Ange out if we lose. I respect people who have been Ange never in, or maybe wanted him out mid season last year. But the waffling back and forth is just a sign of a persons emotional regulation. Ange out because you’re sad, and you want to vent. Not because it would make a difference, not because a better manager is waiting in the wings, just vent. But my favorite thing is how we still think we are a top 4 club, Man U fans are the same, denial. Sorry we aren’t a top four club. We are rebuilding. And Liverpool are the best team in Europe currently, I hoped we would win, but I didn’t expect to. If you expected to win, if you think we are a top four club, and Ange out because Liverpool beat us. Then you need to seriously step back and take stock.

    I'm firmly Ange out. But not until the end of the season. Ange simply does not manage the game, the players and resources. He continues to play the same way, no matter what, this is a major flaw as other teams know exactly how you will play at ALL times. We have lots of muscle injuries, which could easily be accounted for by his style of football. He does not adapt his style to suit the players at his disposal. This is not 'management'. Horses for courses, no, he simply trots out the same style regardless of personnel and reduced player numbers.

    Zero rotation and zero game management from Ange this season. Losing to an in-form Liverpool is not a problem but he just wasted first team players another 90 minutes. Now the same players have to go again on 26th against NF and another game on 29th.

  • @kinslor
    @kinslor 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +4

    Sonny, you are right that Spurs need proper investment in players (like Liverpool did) but you are looking, mostly, in the wrong direction. The front five are exhausted. In Ange's system (Spurs, Celtic, Yokohama) the team defends from the front. The front five are the key to defending. Son, Kulu, Solanke, Maddison and Sarr are spent. Because there is no front five depth on the bench, they have had to play game after game. I'd love to see statistics on how many minutes the starting front five tonight have played across all games since the Man City win. I bet it's significantly higher than for LFC's front five or ManU from Thursday night. No Odobert, Moore, Richarlison & Bentancur, and a lack of Premier League ready transfers over the summer has left the squad running on fumes. I'm surprised they played as well as they did under the circumstances.

    There are too many injuries and we have a squad that lacks quality and experienced depth! You cannot build a squad at this level with four or five kids on the bench! You are right; Gray is playing in positions other than midfield. He is clearly not capable of playing them against the top teams. Shows every time we come up against quality teams. The backline has to be Udogie VDV Romero and Spence from now on. The team is still at least a few windows away from having a really good squad.

    100% agree that the team lacks leaders. Seems like searching for Ange-ball players hasn't involved recruiting leaders. It was such a relief to see the back of Moan-rinho & C*nt-ay, but surely this is a ridiculous way of playing under Ange? I'm not even sure our players keep track of the score of the game anymore. Why would they, it's not like there are going to be any adjustments to the way we play whether we are winning or losing. Scores don't matter, Ange-ball does

    Reality : Slot is a level above Ange..and Liverpool's squad is far superior to Spurs. Kulesvski is the only player on the teamsheet yesterday who would have a spot in Liverpool's squad. Even if Romero,VDN, Vicario had played Liverpool would have won by at least 3 goals regardless.

  • @eldante4139
    @eldante4139 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

    Ok, firstly, yes we have a lot of injuries and so there is some reason that our left players are looking jaded, behind the pace and got completely outplayed yesterday. BUT why didn’t Ange accommodate for that? We had a weakened defence and yet left it so open and exposed that every time Liverpool attacked we had to make desperate blocks or conceded.
    Ange needs to tighten up when the circumstances are such. We can’t continue to play that open when we are so vulnerable. Have you seen our defensive numbers for December? They are the worst in the league. Worse than Leicester, Southampton, every single team! So clearly that’s not as it should be.
    I give Ange until the end of the season. We do need our full squad back but equally we need to see better squad management and game management than we saw yesterday.

    Solutions? Ideally a change of ownership. As that’s not going to happen, a manager that is not welded to a system, because Levy is not going to back the manager whoever it is. Meaning we need one who is adaptable enough to work with the squad/players available. Yes, it’s pessimistic, but we are going nowhere under Levy, and he is going nowhere as long as the money keeps rolling in.

    No leaders or players who can manage a game in your squad. It's been the same problem for a few seasons. Massive lack of characters on the pitch and zero tactical nous - you were gifted a way back into the game today and rather than manage it properly you just immediately threw it away instead. It's barely even about the manager, you just don't have a good squad. Every year you sign a new centre back no one has heard of and they all turn out to be rubbish.

  • @theADHDCarnivore
    @theADHDCarnivore ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    Levy has done a lot to be critical about over the years but I don't think the blame he is getting now is warranted. People demanded he step away from transfer/footballing decisions so he brings in Munn, Lange, McKenzie, Paratici and a manager in Ange that states he wouldn't accept not being part of the decision making process, yet Levy is the problem? If we look at the poor results that really need to be scrutinized, we had almost full strength teams out. Brighton, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Ipswich etc...... were not down to an injury ravaged squad.
    I don't think we should give up on Ange just yet but his success at the club will depend on him adapting both to what is available to him and what the opposition do on the pitch, and if he doesn't, then no matter how much money Levy throws at him, he will ultimately fail.

    Your channel is great, and whilst I understand your points, there are few fundamentals that fan channels like yourself should be clearer on. First is blaming Levy. This is used be the modus operandi of the Spurs faithful. We don't get results that we expect, i.e., win every game and the fans instead of the booing the manager start chanting Levy out. This has worked in the past, even boasted about by some fans.
    NOT ANYMORE, here's why.
    Since the building new the new stadium, we as a coporate entity have fundamentally changed. The cost of the stadium is financed through a complex structure (the link below) Anyway, we now have financial investors who get a fixed return like a savings account these are heavily regulated and if you have a private pension this could easily in the mix of investments a pension utilise without telling you.
    WHY this relevant is segregation of roles in the business. The stadium pays for the team, this is linked to FFP and independent regulator. Levy is NO longer involved in the football side. Johan Lange and Scott Munn are. The stadium is owned by various parties, including the government grants. The amount of finance and what it is spent on is now nothing to do with Levy role, it is a rules based agreement that is regulated. What Levy did do, which he gets no credit for, is the sizeable additional revenue streams at the stadium that can be used to guarantee extra player investment under FFP. Without this, other teams are at a distinct disadvantage moving forward. Not just tomorrow, but for years to come. Under FFP, only ticket sales and other business activities at the stadium can be used for players and wages.
    Levy past activities can, quite rightly, be questioned, but by definition, what he's done now by working with the government on FFP is give the stadium a large guaranteed revenue stream to build the team. And this isn't under his control, both the level of finance and team selection.
    He also can't get at his 29% to sell or spend as its all in Trusts, for tax reasons first but also for family.
    We need to get through this challenging period where we need to trust its going to take time to build but nonetheless continue in one direction, with new players playing entertaining football to finally rid us of the cycle of hire and fire, repeat, which over short spells has given average results and the tag Spursy. Dont take my word for it. Here's the link to stadium ownership, team ownership, and funding. FFP rules link after.

    What more evidence is needed to see that Ange isn’t the one? Win, loose or draw we are are naive defensively to say the least, I’d go as far as foolish. I get that we have injuries, but the wise thing to do is to play to the strengths of the players available, but Ange is too high-principled. Euro qualification from the league is all but gone and we aren’t getting further in the league cup. That still leaves 2 cups, so we should hang tight until the end of the season, but that will be the time to move on. That said, if Levy is not prepared to do serious business in January, it doesn’t matter who the manager is.

    Ben, I watched because I wanted to hear your reason as to why we lost and what I got was Levy. That’s not true. Analyse the football. Pinpoint the weak points in the game - As you do so well normally instead of going back to recruitment and blaming Levy, (even if he is ultimately to blame). It’s a cop out.
    Bissouma gave the ball the way numerous times. Dragusin weak and slow against these top Players. Sarr didn’t follow his man on the runs through the channels. And too much space afforded them in the final third. Bing bang bosh… six goals. Sarr is knackered.
    With a full strength defence, that would not have happened. It would have been closer, if not even.

    Spurs is a mid level team (that is what the results show for 30 years), fans remain deluded, some good players, no depth and lots of injuries (If Ange is to be held responsible it is playing a style of football that cannot be delivered with a squad with no depth). As an Ange fan and someone who has watched him win the Asian cup with a weak Australian team and go on a 40 game unbeaten run, he might as well be let go, so that Suprs can find the next Manager to blame. I knew Ange would not last long when the fans complained about losing in a penalty shoot out in the Carabao Cup in 2023 (even when he was winning games)...... never seen such a pathetic fan base. If the team does not win Ange out it is truly embarrasing. Like many who have come to support Spurs because of our long history with the Manager, I could not be happier to see him sacked, so the fans can blame the next manager for what is a capable but not top 5 level squad and the rest of us can move on.
