It's Mayhem. Compared to other black metal bands I considered the actual members to be clowns. And the past members are nothing more but sick individuals, half of them dead already. Not my cup of tea. If I want to listen to something real I chose Emperor, Darkened nocturn slaughtercult, Behemoth, Belphegor.

Mayhem will be playing live here in Costa Rica on May 15th; and i've been wondering if it would be worth it to pay and see them. Don't get me wrong i love Mayhem!!! but it seems that in the last 13 years or so they haven't been playing that good live. I saw them back in December of 2013 and trust me when i tell you that 95% of what i've heard was Necrobutcher on Bass......... no joke i really mean it.
It was a 3 day festival on the countryside/on a mountain; with 20 other Bands, all of the other bands sound amazing, Mayhem was the only one that sounded horrible.
So for all the Metalheads who have been in their concerts in the last 10 years hearing them...... i have a question; would it be worth it to pay and hear them live ?????

Definitely as long as you know you’ve got a good spot and the tickets aren’t that expensive, that said, they put on a great show still and Attila is freaky as fuck

Dude i saw them live in April majority of the songs they played were from their last album Daemon and they still KILLED IT! this current line up of mayhem is far more musically skilled, superior and better than previous line up with blasphemer and maniac. Watching them live with this line up is an experience you don't want to miss.

Did you finally go or what? I have seen them 4 times, from 2001 till 2023, &I think that the last one at May 2023 in Thessaloniki, Greece, was one of the best! From my personal experience, I think that the spot you will be sitting to attend them plays an important role. You must be at the right distance & spot from the speakers.
