Damn, when I googled ''Tower vs Pedestal fan" I didn't think such a specific video existed, direct explanation with cool graphics, wonderful video mate, cheers.
Yeah, that's one of the drawbacks of tower fans, however, if you are using it near your coach or in the office, then it usually covers most of your body without blowing air into your face.
I have used both.pedestal one is powerful; easy to use and noisy. Tower is gimicky; weak and silent. Well the most silent fan is one that is not running. Until they make a tower that actualy cools I don't give a d* about its other advantages.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Yeah, pedestal fans can be louder but give more power, while tower fans are quieter but not as strong. Totally get where you're coming from - hopefully, they’ll improve the cooling in tower fans soon!
i have a tower fan and i had it ever since i was a child, it is a very old Star tower fan and is from the 1980s i assume, it has one feature that allows more air to be blown that modern tower fans dont have tho... that being, the outside vent. on new tower fans, the vent covers the whole front, meaning air can come out, but then gets sucked back in by the blower, which is definitely not what we want, so this Star tower fan was smart enough to only have the vent open on the right side, meaning it blows air out, but cant suck it back in, meaning it blows more air than new tower fans. and, for the noise part of tower fans, BOY DO I AGREE. my Star tower fan is noisy to an extend its almost IMPOSSIBLE to sleep with it, while my dad's Duux pedestal fan (Duux being one of the highest quality pedestal fan makers) is quiet to a point its pratically impossible to hear, but that Duux fan's front cover is made to be easy to remove, meaning any child can just remove it, so clearly, for that, thats a big win for the tower fan here, and in my opinion, even tho the Duux has more features and is modern, i still prefer that old Star tower fan.
Thanks for sharing! That old Star tower fan sounds like a real gem with its unique design. It's interesting how older models can have features that modern ones don't. Noise is definitely a big factor, and I get your point about safety with kids and pedestal fans. It's all about finding what works best for you!
@@homecapricehc after looking at the label, it is a Star FS3-29SW fan, and its the only one i have ever seen. and, also as a bonus, it just so happens that i do have pets (cats to be exact), so it is also safer for me to keep that old tower fan.
Do you mind sharing which Lasko towers did you buy and if you already have some feedback about each of them? We might include your comments on our website if we have already written the reviews for the models that you bought, if you don’t mind of course :)
Can't make Darth Vader sounds with tower fan, so I'm voting no. Spinning blades is a valuable life lesson and pets aren't dumb enough to put their paws in the fan.

Thank you 🙏
My big issue with tower fans is that they're too short. Fine if you want cool legs, but what about my torso?

You can put a second one on a table or something.

Just bought three Lasko tower fans, as we are getting away from AC. Plus the timer feature was important to me, space saving as well as safety.
