I am a knifethrower, tomahawkthrower and now also a slingshot shooter! But I identify as a soulthrower due to the fact that knife throwing and tomahawk throwing is good for my soul. I throw knives no spin, rotational and military halfspin. When you want to learn knifethrowing and/or tomahawk throwing you should do your research and look at many knifethrowing and tomahawkthrowing enthusiasts and re-search different throwing knives. One throwing knife can look good but doesn’t always fit you and/or your style of throwing. Try different knives and styles until you find your own way.
The most important thing about how to throw knives or a knife or how to throw a tomahawk is to do more of what ever works for you!
Now go throw and be a legend! 😊🤙
    Your throwing brother!

If you cut the carpet shorter so it can swing you will get less bounce back and less penetration . I hunt with 9.5 mm steel balls they do the job. It took me about 3 months before I was accurate enough to start hunting. Your shooting style looks good so you should improve with practice. Two channels I found useful as a beginner were " Catapult carnage " and "Game keeper John. All the best for 2020 and enjoy your shooting.

Pretty much the exact same as mine! I made mine from a large brake cleaner container, with an old scrim scarf and layers of motorcycle kevlar as the backstop. I use that mainly for practicing with 10-11mm steel or lead ammo.
I'm making a smaller scale one for 6-8mm steel out of a water cooler bottle, which hopefully should collect my ammo into a little tray 👍
By the way, if you're struggling with aim, look into the Sightright card, it's essentially a sight for a slingshot 😎

Awesome... Do you get any bounce backs like i did?
I do have some problems aiming when my beard got bigger... 😅

@@soulthrower Only when I'm using particularly snappy bands, from .80 upwards, and even then they'd only land 3 feet or so in front of the catch box. I managed to stop that though by simply adding another layer of fabric.
I've also been working on my release, hence the switch to smaller ammo. Much easier to shoot with less power for longer, and with the right band setup, small ammo can be ridiculously accurate, with little trajectory. 👍

Found your'e channel. Nice shooting man. I'm shooting for 8 years now but i'm still not very good at it. Anyway like you're catch box. It looks a bit like mine. I mostly shoot indoor (BB's) at leather targets. Doesn't make much noise so i don't get trouble with the neighbours :p
I'm also a huge fan of frameless shooting. Did that many years but some months ago i let a dog out and she found a stick. I thought that's a nice catapult. And now i'm shooting this tiny shooter every day. Love it.

I use leather backing. Doesn’t wear out & last a lifetime. Will stop any size ammo.

Regarding the bounce back I believe that instead of cutting down the bottom part you should do some vertical slots 3/4 of an inch apart so if you hit the box they twist and absorb the hit instead of bouncing back plus it will still help keeping the balls inside.
