    I actually think this guy was sharing how HE does windows. I watched the whole thing and loved how he did it with minimal tools . It may not be the conventional way .. but it looks secure ( as I’m thinking it is not intended as a seat) it’s reinforced and leveled with foam underneath, and he shows options for ends. Remember he’s learning too.

    I'm so happy I found this video 🤣 where to start lol an inch of plasterboard and two inches of patchy foam holding it up. Great, just don't lean on it, or set anything on it, or close the window to hard. And just gives up on the cap end's 🤣 Imagine this bi walking on site lol

      😂😂😂
      I thought it was gonna be a professional job seeing everything taped up plus all the tools you'd expect to be used to get a nice square finish

    AN Old bread knife work BEST for this job the more flexible the blade the better and the serrated edge is KEY. Trim happy from Scotland.

    Thanks for this video, very helpful. What do you stick cover strips to an existing window frame with?

    Inside window part is stool, not sill. You got something on your thumb & hand. Cleans off with acetone.

    Usually people only upload How To videos if they actually know what they are doing. You clearly do not.

    Hey man next time think about your window reveal before setting anything in place. luckily you didn't drive any nails to the sill so you can pull it out again and fix the uneven reveal :)

    why PVC not wood ?

    • @necurrence1776
      @necurrence1776 ปีที่แล้ว

      Old question but wood deforms over time and is high maintenance. No matter how good you are at carpenting any moisture will ruin your work. PVC comes in wood print nowadays and requires zero maintenance

    Sill is supposed to drain outside the building....

      Sills are inside and outside.

    • @wes6477
      @wes6477 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@woodinside Wrong, the sill is outside, the stool is inside.

      The Uk we fit that to the outer frame and then either a flat wooden board with a bull nose edge or upvc window board to the inner , and always looks better if you leave the internal horns on and cut around the reveals so wraps around and doesn’t finish cut of square like that
